  • Pros:  light, buttery,
  • Cons:  not great all mountain board,

Experience:   this board is softer than a soup sandwich which makes rails effortless. in this case the board actually does make you better. the soft flex grabs rails and wont let go. the copper edges make catching an edge on a rail virtually impossible. however, those edges also sacrifice a noticeable amount of traction on icy or hard snow conditions. all in all i give this board a two thumbs up.

"Arbor Draft 153" 4/5/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Arbor Draft Snowboard Black Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Lots of fun, Surprisingly good in powder, Super soft
  • Cons:  No dampening,

Experience:   I bought this in spring and I've had three days on it in varied conditions. I already had a 158 cambered board (Del Rey) and wanted something softer and more playful. The Draft also allows you to size down, so I got a 153. First impression was that it's a totally different feel from riding a cambered board. Nowhere near as smooth to ride - it's like driving a car with wooden tires and no suspension. You feel every little bump, especially at speed. Turn initiation was also different. But after a day getting used to the feel I started to really like the way the board rides. You can get away with a lot more without catching an edge landing, and the reverse camber and soft flex makes butters and presses much easier. Doesn't pop quite as well as the Del Rey. Might not be everyone's favorite look, but I love the graphics on the board. Another surprise was how well it handled powder. Although it's much shorter, this board in a 153 floats a lot better than the 158 and it's a lot less work to keep the nose up and surf. Bottom line - it doesn't have the edge hold and control of the Del Rey, but it's better in powder and better for just goofing around doing ground tricks and small park features.

"Fun Park Board" 12/31/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Arbor Draft Snowboard Black Men's
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Soft, Even Flex, Butters really nicely, Carves well and really light
  • Cons:  Lots of reverse camber, Weird pressure points, bronze edges damage easily

Experience:   I was going to get on here and give this board a really negative review but I waited and get used to the board. Now that I've had more days on it, it's become way more fun. It's definitely at home on rails. It's a really soft board but its not an all out noodle and can be ridden pretty aggressively if you want to. The base isn't sintered which you'd expect on a board of this caliber and doesn't hold wax all that well. The flex is great and it's really light. I ride the 153 and it weighs about the same as a 150 board so that's cool. The flex makes the board really predictable. I wish the board didn't have reverse camber outside the bindings. It makes so you can't land on the nose or tail at all. Don't get me wrong, I still love the board. It kills on rails and will give you more confidence on them. I demand alot out of a board and this does the job but it could do it a little better. I gave it a 3 because people need to stop giving crappy stuff a 5. A 5 better be the best damn board I've ever ridden and had no flaws. Hope this review is helpful, feels like i'm rambling.

  • Pros:  jibbing ,
  • Cons:  its a noodle ,

Experience:   I demoed this board expecting it to be soft but it was a complete noodle... not so great. Butters and presses were so fun and effortless. The grip tech works really well and gives you lots of grip back which is lost from the centre RC.

"Built for Parks.. obviously" 11/16/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2012 Arbor Draft Snowboard Black Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Design Artwork,

Experience:   As most reviews have stated, this board is very soft and is a perfect fit for the parks. Built to flex and grab rails, it does it's job well, but I don't think its a complete noodle. Outside of the parks, it can be less forgiving on ice and slick conditions. Solid board, but definitely not an all-mountain fix. Stick to the parks with this board and you'll be happy. 4 stars for park, 3.5 if going outside..
