TruSnow Says: The new revolution in snowboarding is the "Rocker" design and Arbor has delivered the Draft to keep up with the competition. The new reverse-camber design makes buttering, pressing, sliding, and overall jibbing easier than ever. Along with that, they have designed a "flat kick" blunt shaped nose and tail to reduce swing weight for optimal spin ability, but moreover to enhance your ability to press on anything. Better yet is that Arbor has added two additional contact points to this sidecut to make up for the reverse-camber design so now you’re holding strong edges all day while not catching one ever again when jibbing. If you are trying to become better than all your friends when shredding the park then the Draft is your one-stop ticket in doing so!

Arbor Says: Arbor’s take on the rocker revolution - the new Draft is designed around the system, a fusion and interdependence technologies that support jib specific performance. Make no mistake, rocker boards represent a new approach to how snowboards function. Rocker shapes require a total rethinking of long held ideas on technologies and how they interact. To that end, we offer the system.

Base color may very.

"Great board for me!" 3/14/2011

  • Name: Arbor Draft Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Jibs,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Soft, wide tail and nose for presses, easy to ride, predictable, Grip-tech works on ice,, Fairly fast acceleration, light weight
  • Cons:  Can use more pop, but I don't do big jumps, Chatter, but that is given for a soft board,

Experience:   I finally got to ride my board its a 155, I am 5'11 170 lbs, and rode it at Hunter Mountain. Talk about ice? Everyone that ever said this board can't carve/stop in ice should question their technique, this board was absolutely predictable. I did not have any edging problems, no falls from not being able to stop. I was able to hold a tail press for longer than usual, this board does not fight back, just press away. I can even turn while pressing with no fear of it sliding out under me. This board can use a little more pop when it comes to bigger jumps, but I had zero problems with it doing small jumps, and hops over bumps going down trails, landing it was easy and stable. I've been told the board flexes a lot while I am riding past bumps... I guess it should do so anyway being such a soft board. Super easy to butter. This board is not a soft noodle though. I really appreciate the softness of the board, ride-ability of it in tough conditions, and light weight construction. I am also able to set the stance very wide with the 390 boss Cant beds, leaving my knees comfortable.

  • Name: Arbor Draft Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  quality, easy to ride, durable

Experience:   this board is excellent for buttering around on your way to the park... and once in the park this deck really shines. i know people say 90% rider, 10% gear but this board allowed me to push myself and progress on rails and boxes more than ever. The Draft is so easy and fun to press, and it locks on to rails like a magnet. i found myself approaching features switch without even thinking about it, thats how natural this deck makes it feel. if you're a park rat, this deck is made for you.

"Straight up Jib/Park board" 9/12/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Arbor Draft Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Rails
  • Pros:  True twin, Soft flex , Blunt nose/tail
  • Cons:  Too soft for pipe and larger jumps,

Experience:   Buttery goodness! if your a park rat this is right up your alley. True twin which riding switch effortlessly without any change adjustments in your ride. This board is especially soft in the nose and tail making it extremely easy to press and with the blunt tips helps lock you in. This board can handle the pow well with the reverse camber keeping you floating; but in the hard packed your gonna get rocked a bit from the bumps. Overall this board is extremely fun for jibs and hitting the rails and boxes, still bit to soft for the pipe for me.... ...The design should be the last thing you think about in getting a board but I have to mention it, Arbor definitely stepped up in their designs cause all their boards are looking SICK!!

"Jib!" 7/12/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: Arbor Draft Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes
  • Pros:  pressy, stable, poppy

Experience:   This was my first arbor board and i was impressed. I have not been able to find a stable jib deck for a few years, but this was it. This board was a joy to ride and i did not experience very much rocker washout at all. I would reccomend this to anyone who needs a jib board that can get you from the lift to the park.

"Great Park Board" 1/31/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: Arbor Draft Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Jibs,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Playful, soft, easy to use
  • Cons:  Not good for anything but park, unstable at speeds,

Experience:   The Arbor Draft was the first snowboard in their line up for 2010 to go rocker. For 2011 the Draft is pretty much the same board minus a few refinements. The Draft is Arbor's take on Reverse Camber Park Board and it also has Brass rails. It has quite an extension at the binding section that seems to be the size of the more aggressive Magnetraction side cut that the Mervin boards have. The one difference is it has only 2 extensions instead of 5. Having only 2 big edge extensions makes the draft turn more like a traditional board than a skate style magnetraction board. That being said this board still is very fun to in the jib park! If you like the Draft riding style but want more edge hold then the Arbor Del Rey will be a better call.

Comments & Questions

Skoojoo
You do realize that magnetraction vs Griptech doesnt affect the way the board turns it only affects the way edge responds on ice and hard pack, dont you?

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Arbor Draft Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  soft flex, doesn't catch edges, grips on ice

Experience:   I demoed this board in 143 because it is exactly the same as the women's cadence (143). Its definitely the same great board, fun to carve steeps, hit jumps, jibs, boxes, rails, floats in powder.
