"Good Ey" 6/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Buffer
  • Pros:  They aren't gloves,
  • Cons:  Maybe they could be but they can't,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Good Fit Size10

Experience:   Hey Guys, Good socks, Riding temp @ 0-> -20ish. They aren't really warm enough below -20 but that depends on what your doing too. Also they aren't that breathable but i don't mind a bit of sweat to help you really stick inside your boot. Have 2 pairs, after about 100 days riding in them the heel is about to break through and they will be my new rags. But hey 100 days is pretty damn good for a burton product!

"A sock that is good for the job" 6/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Buffer
  • Pros:  cheap, fits well, does the job
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L

  • Description:  Feels like a glove on a hand

Experience:   if you want some socks that will last a while get these. I like the fact sierra has discounts! I wouldnt imagine paying full price for these since that would drain my account up pretty fast. Overall, if one wants a pair of socks.... get THESE

"The Nike of Socks" 5/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Buffer
  • Pros:  Warm, Cushy,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M

Experience:   I don't think I know anybody who doesn't own a pair of these, and if you're in the market for socks then you really need to look no further. I have three pairs and never have found a reason to consider other socks and have nothing to complain about. The typical things I can think of that I've hated about socks in the past is when they don't stay in place... like when they slide, shift, and bundle in the boots as your day progresses. These fit wonderfully without all those negatives and at the same time aren't too tight. Mine have a little pilling in the frequent friction areas after going through the wash a handful of times but that's expected I guess. Until my big toe starts peeking out of these, I'm not looking elsewhere. And when it does happen, I'll just be looking for another pair of the same.

Experience:   This is nice sock. I bought the second because that was all that was left but I can't tell what's wrong with it (unlike the Burton Party which didn't look at all like the picture).

Experience:   this socks have kept my feet warm in sub 30's condition very well. it also keeps your feet dry so your boots won't go all wet and smell like crap later. this is a must have for anyone who goes to snow sports even if you rents the equipment.

Experience:   i have 2 pairs of these and they are great. they keep my little toes warm even in the coldest weather. they are pretty thick but the only gripe about these is the band at the top and cut off your circulation in your foot.

"Great Socks" 1/1/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Buffer
  • Pros:  Warm, dry all day, non itchy,
  • Cons:  Furry after wash,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  Snug, fits like a glove

Experience:   I was first skeptical about these socks, but after trying them on I was pretty convinced they are pretty similar to my Smartwool PhD socks. The sock kept me warm all day, while being dried at the same time. It fitted comfortably without being too tight and its not as itchy as some of the socks I have tried in the past. I recommend hand washing these instead of throwing in the washing machine.

"Durable" 10/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Buffer
  • Pros:  Warmth, Durability,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  True to size

Experience:   As one of the previous post's stated, these socks are one of the most durable boarding socks I have ever owned. I wore them roughly 30 times snowboarding as well as throughout the winter with standard boots and they are still very much intact. Also, the warmth is much better than I expected from a light weight board sock. A+ to Burton and highly recommend.
