"New COs with re:flex" 11/26/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton CO2 Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Very responsive, easy to adjust,
  • Cons:  very responsive, expensive,
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   I have had COs from just about every model year. This year they have incorporated the re:flex deal from Forum. It's hard to notice a huge difference in increased board flex, but these are probably the best COs yet. I like the big heel strap and the toe strap is awesome. Burton finally figured that one out after several tries. I found these bindings super responsive, almost too responsive. They have increased the height of the gas pedal this year and you can really feel it on your toe edge. Great for hard pack and riding fast, but watch out if you do lots of rails. Overall these are really good all mountain binding and I look forward to a great year on them.

"Super light and responsive" 2/16/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton CO2 Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Responsive, Light,
  • Cons:  Expensive,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I recently got to demo this with a Capita Horrorscope FK.. and while I'm not sure if that was the best combo, I really had a good time. I thought the binding was really supportive.. I kinda want to say stiff, but it wasn't really stiff.. that's why I keep saying responsive and supportive. I picture a stiff binding to be painful when you land wrong off a jump, but this binding was fine.. The big thing though was how light it was. Aside from that, the straps were just alright.. I mean they kept my foot in place perfectly fine but the ratchets just seemed a tad stickier than other Burton bindings I've tried. Adjusting strap length without tools was really nice though. Overall, I liked the binding a lot, but just can't justify paying all that extra money when you can get another comparable binding for much cheaper.

"great!" 3/25/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton CO2 Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  responsive, padded,
  • Cons:  pricey, burton,
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   Been riding these for two full seasons now (bought them discounted in 2012). Ride quality, I didn't feel much of a difference w/ EST and tradition 4-hole discs. I much prefer the traditional binding for flexibility w/ board choices (was awesome to keep my bindings on a demo board at Whistler). They fit much better than the first gen EST (which I also own and strapped into them with both 2009 Burton Hails and most recently 2012 DC Judges). No fit issues with either boot but the ankle straps are noticeably tighter on the DCs (probably due to non-burton brand equipment).

"super nice, but super pricey" 8/31/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton CO2 Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  thick comfy heel strap,
  • Cons:  pricey!,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   These binding jumped out at me bc they look so sick! very cool design I love the mesh backs... I honestly bought them strictly based off of looks and coolness have yet to try them yet... I still question if its worth the price, but I guess I'll find out when I finally take it out on the mountain

"CO2 - standard base plate" 2/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton CO2 Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  RE:Flex, Straps, Highbacks & Weigth
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   I rode my T.rice 157 with my drake super sports then swapped them out for my new shiney CO2's. I am shocked at the differance that I can feel with the RE:Flex. I raced a few NorAm SBX events and always wore full aluminium bindings...these are actual better, let teh board flex and are responsive! I have them paried with Drive X boots, great fit. Only neg is that an internal spring on one of the toe straps popped so it flaps open, doesnt effect the performance, its just annoying. But, I never thought I would go as many days without breaking a strap - so I guess they are good. Definetly worth the $(or $$$$$$$).

"great binding" 2/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton CO2 Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Just soft enough for some good freestyle, Comfortable straps,
  • Cons:  The toe strap is tearing after only one season,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Got these last year. The feel amazing. I use them for everything...park pipe jibbing and freeriding. Little stiff for jibbing but not bad. My only complaint is the toe strap on mine was tearing after one season. Called burton and they gave me 50% off the 2011 straps which are better and more comfortable anyways.

  • Name: Burton CO2 Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Super duper light, holds up great, great cushioning
  • Cons:  Very $$$,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Lightest bindings I've ever placed my boots in. Makes a hell of a diff for weight on your board. But very expensive >_< (sad face)

  • Pros:  Ultra Light, Comfortable,
  • Cons:  Expensive,

Experience:   These Bindings are great, very responsive and great feel. But for the price, I do not really think they are worth it unless you have some extra money to burn. Also they could be made a bit more durable.

"Responsive and Light: Great in the Backcountry!" 1/24/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton CO2 Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Light and Comfortable, Super Responsive, EST = Fast & extremely precise/flexible mounting
  • Cons:  EST Binding = limited to only Burton boards, Price = $$$$$,
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   My first day on these bindings was in Backcountry Jackson Hole with pretty hardpack conditions. Thanks to the very responsive stiff CO2s, riding the tight packed out tree traverses as well as down the pretty icy shoot was less of a concern than it would have been in many other bindings. I was also pleased that they are light in weight as I was hiking that line that day! I especially like the fact that the adjustability of the binding size to really open up the size range. It would be possible for a woman's size US7.5 / EU38 to fit into a Men's small as well as medium CO2 Binding.
