Sierra Says: Mellow flex, comfy straps, and ultimate value are all terms that apply to the Citizen. This binding is intended to give the beginning rider a kickstart by reducing unnecessary response and increasing forgiveness. We recommend this binding to anybody looking for something simple and affordable to get started in the sport.

Burton Says: Welcome to a land where the trails are paved in marshmallows. Runs never end. Pit stops don't exist. It's the land of eternal comfort. Your passport? The Citizen. Simple, strong, and easier to ride than a tricycle with training wheels, this binding is all about pro performance for the rider on a budget. Now even lighter, padded throughout, and women's-specific down to the stitches on the straps, this is your key to the good life.

"Great pair of bargain bindings" 5/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Citizen Womens
  • Pros:  Low price, Soft , Light weight
  • Cons:  All soft plastic,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   Perfect pair of bindings for a new and progressing rider. Should be coupled with any type of soft flexing board (as this binding is too soft to be installed on anything else). It has nearly all the customizability of your higher price-point bindings (i.e. ankle and toe cushion adjustment, forward lean, high back rotation). Unfortunately, it does not all you to adjust the heel cup. That being said, being all plastic and fairly soft, I'm afraid the high back or base plate might snap on some aggressive riding (so definitely for a more petite sized girl).

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Citizen Womens
  • Pros:  soft flexing for beginners, cap strap,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   the citizens are my first pair of bindings and im really loving them, paired them with the seirra v-spot and theyre going great! i definitely noticed an improvement straight away with my riding ability! theyre nice and forgiving for a beginner to learn with, i'll probably end up moving onto the lexas but right now, no complaints whatsoever! :)

"Decent beginning bindings" 8/26/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Citizen Womens
  • Pros:  Cheap!, Soft,
  • Cons:  plastic, Loose clasp,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I bought these binding as a beginner snowboarder, paired with a Burton Feather board. These are a good entry level pair of bindings which are soft and forgiving. The only problems I noticed is that the clasps can get loose after a run.

"Good Bindings" 8/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Citizen Womens
  • Pros:  good bargin, simple,
  • Cons:  toe strap slips, loode clasps,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   These bindings are good if you are looking for something affordable and simple and if you are a beginner rider. The only problem I've had with them is that the toe strap sometimes slips off after a run and sometimes the clasps feel loose. Besides that they do the job pretty well.

"Really good entry level binding" 8/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Citizen Womens
  • Pros:  Great price, look good, nice and soft
  • Cons:  cheaper materials, straps tend to come off,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   great entry level binding and a great price.. burton have shown they can still deliver a great binding and a great price.. although with the price being soo cheap they do tend to cheap out of build quality.. pretty soft plastics make for a forgiving binding! perfect for a beginner who is looking for their first pair of bindings, although i would tell them to spend a little bit extra and either get the lexas or the escapades..

"decent" 4/6/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Citizen Womens
  • Pros:  good for beginners, affordable,
  • Cons:  toe strap falls off, straps loosen by the end of run,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   i bought these bindings because they were cheap. i disliked them and had to buy a new pair. i realize now it is better to do it right the first time and buy the more expensive ones. these are suitable for beginner riders not for anybody else

"2009 Burton Citizen" 4/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Citizen Womens
  • Pros:  Decent hold, Easy to use, Good beginner binding
  • Cons:  Toe strap can slide off,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I had this binding and it worked out well for learning. I was able to progress from being a beginner and just learning turns to going down advanced terrain with it. I think it is great for learning and an inexpensive option for people wanting to try boarding. I'd recommend it, but if you get a lot better quickly, you might need a need binding.
