Burton boards with the Channel System do not ship with Retro Disks or hardware. You will need to call Burton for a free set at (800) 881-3138.

Sierra Says: Adding a fresh twist to a classic board, Burton has answered the people?s demand for a definitive, all-mountain, reverse camber snowboard. The new Custom V-Rocker features the same rocker design that brought the Hero to fame last year, but with a stiffer flex and slightly more aggressive feel. This board is meant to be ridden anywhere from the park to the powder and will be best enjoyed by the strong intermediate or advanced rider. This LTD edition incorporates the construction of the Custom pressed with V-Rocker.

Burton Says: We've remixed the master with the game-changing feel and effortless control of V-Rocker. You get a stick that's precisely engineered to crank unbelievable turns, land more tricks, and add amplitude to your ollies. From jumpers to jibbers, pow slashers to cruisers- this is without a doubt one board that everyone will have a blast on.

"Super fun board" 4/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (10) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Custom V-Rocker LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Great Mid Flex, doesn't catch edges, Forgiving, Super fun to ride, Helps stomps landings
  • Cons:  Top sheet gets messed up fast, The reference points scratch off fast,

Experience:   Awesome board, first time going to a reverse camber/vrocker board. First two runs I kept catching the front left edge for some reason(I think I was putting too much weight forward for some reason.) But after that S-turns/transitions were smooth as butter. Took me half a run to get used to riding switch then after that it felt easier than on a reg cambered board. It's true what they say, the board is very forgiving, you just effortlessly kind of spin out of something rather than catching an edge and abruptly eating it. Presses are super fun on the board also. I was doing bigger jumps than usual first day on this board, and as long as you land flat or even on the back half of the vrocker, it will stomp the landing for you. Even approaching the jump the board wants to shoot you off the lip as if it's telling you to relax. It kind of felt like a board on training wheels, if you landed kinda squirely it helped you straighten out. Cons: topsheet gets wrecked pretty easily. I got a ski pole on top of it while in line and did a lot more damage than I thought it would. Also the color scratches off really fast. My friend put a sticker on his and took it off and all of a sudden the matte black came off with the sticker... But either way, you're getting the board for 200 bucks so it makes up for it. Honestly, I don't think I'd ever go back to a reg cambered board, this v-rocker was super playful, awesome shape, and just a tool for all trades. I'm gonna try to get better at butters next season, but I sense that it's a good board for that too. BUY IT!

"smooth ride" 4/6/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Custom V-Rocker LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,Park,Powder
  • Pros:  nice ride, v rocker is fun,
  • Cons:  no pressure dist. edges, heavier than custom v rocker,

Experience:   i have had a chance to own several boards this season, including both the custom v and the custom ltd v. both are great boards, the only thing i was kind of down about was that the custom ltd has no pde, is heavier than the custom, not as wide, and a stiffer flex. this is all ok, but i just thought that the custom ltd was going to be the exact same as custom v. custom ltd is basically regular custom with v rocker, not as park oriented as custom v, imo. i only found this out after purchasing both. other than that, great fun board, and has a lot of pop.

"This board will take you to the next level!" 1/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Custom V-Rocker LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Off Trail,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Handles High Speeds Amazingly, Tons of pop on both ends,
  • Cons:  Not as soft as I had hoped,

Experience:   I've taken this board out about 10 times so far this season and have gone all over the East Coast in all types of terrain. It exceeded all my expectations. Blew me away how it feels at high speeds and in the trees. With it's twin-like direction and stiffer flex it isn't the best park board. Handles landings on the big airs nicely with my Cartel ESTs. Did some damage to it and it took to ptex'ing nicely. This board really helped me fine tune my riding and increase my skill level so far this season. Highly recommended!

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Custom V-Rocker LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Heaps of Pop, Floats, Looks great

Experience:   I have the 156 and it looks crazy with my cartels on top, you miss the little details in the sierra supplied pictures, but on the top sheet theres a tiny dinosaur, scuba diver, parachuter and a couple of other things which look crazy! this board floats so well and has definately help me progress, even in the park the stiffer flex hasnt bothered me, and the v-rocker is still great fun on rails and boxes. buy this for the pop mostly because it will get you up there, i love it, great board.

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Custom V-Rocker LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Park,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Stable and great control at high speeds, responsive, lightweight,
  • Cons:  have to call Burton for retro disks, which are free but had to wait a few days for them,

Experience:   This board took my riding to the next level. Stable at high speeds and don't even have to worry about catching an edge. Great in powder, perfect in groomed snow. You have to call Burton for FREE retro/conversion disks if you do not have EST bindings. To those who are concerned about the WW of this board; don't even worry. I have the 158 with size 11 feet and there is plenty of room for my bindings on the board, and there is NO toe/heel drag - I carve at crazy speeds too.

"A more fun Custom!" 4/6/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton Custom V-Rocker LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Solid Construction, Reverse Camber makes the Custom more playful,
  • Cons:  ICS?,

Experience:   Firstly, to those wondering. The Custom V-Rocker LTD is basically a regular Custom with V-rocker. (der right?). Well, it differs to the regular Custom V-Rocker (not LTD) as it retains the same waist width of the custom (thinner then regular V-rocker) and does not have PDE edges like the regular V-rocker. The flex is also very slightly different between the regular V-rocker and LTD (5/10 vs 4/10). Minor differences, but something to be aware of. The reverse camber adds a different element of fun to the already famous and popular Custom. Less catchy due to the raised contact points, I also found it easy to butter and press. The regular Custom was always a challenge to press, had to really fight it. The V-rocker certainly helps but you still need to put in effort (compared to soft park boards). The mid-flex helps with stability accross the entire mountain. Truly an 'all mountain' freestyle board. If you only want to invest in one board, certainly consider this!

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Custom V-Rocker LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  High Speeds,Powder
  • Pros:  Really Fast, Great Board For Powder, Awesome Response
  • Cons:  EST/ICS system, Had to call Burton to get Retro Discs,

Experience:   Great board rides extremely awesome. Only downfall is I had to call Burton to have them send me the retro discs so I could use my Burton Custom bindings.

If I have the Cartel EST bindings do I still have to call Burton for any other hardware after buying this board?

sirius42
No, the Cartel EST bindings should work with the board.

"Amazing All-Around Board" 3/29/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Custom V-Rocker LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Park,Powder,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Easy Carving, Park Fun, Super Fast and Stable

Experience:   This is the first board I ever bought, so I can't provide much knowledge and input in comparison to other boards. However, I instantly fell in love with this board. Down the mountain, it feels super stable at high speeds and carves on a dime. The first day I used it, I noticed the tail would swivel a little at high speed, but a little adjustment in my setup and I was hauling a#$ the second day. Taking it to the park was a lot of fun. Jibbing was relatively easy and jumps were fun with a good pop. I had trouble locking into the box, but I just need to practice more. I would recommend this for everyone who wants an AMAZING for ALL OVER THE MOUNTAIN!!

"Custom V-rocker LTD rumors...." 3/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Custom V-Rocker LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Turns on a dime, Fun to play with,

Experience:   Hi all, I've demo'd this board, and loved the flex and feel of the board. Just ordered the board and started googling some info about the LTD edition. Are there some of you who have it at home already? I've heard it's not just the top sheet that's different from the v-rocker custom. Some say the LTD isn't mid-wide but the same width as the standard cambered custom. Also some rumors say that this limited edition has all the same specs as the std cambered custom - with the only difference that it has the v-rocker camber. That would mean it doesn't have PDE's! Didn't pay attention to it when I demo'd it - it rode sweet....

ExhaustedDog
The non Ltd Edition Custom-V Rockers are handmade in Austria. Leaving the manufacturing difference between Europe and the US.

JoePham
wait...which one of you guys is right? Are LTDs really not handmade like their counterparts, the regular custom v-rocker?

shock639
The standard custom v is hand made as well just in Austria

"V-Rocker mproved my riding" 1/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Custom V-Rocker LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Carving,Chop,High Speeds
  • Pros:  Extremely fast, very maneurverable, looks better than the standard Custom V-Rocker.
  • Cons:  The V-Rocker sometimes pivots unexpectedly,

Experience:   The board is fast. Even though I am a timid rider, I found myself cruising by everyone on the mountain, but I was never out of control or on the brink of falling due to chatter. I also found myself cruising through flat areas through which most riders have to skate. I can't speak to its prowess on powder, but it performed admirably on some very firm chop and helped me avoid some big falls. My old board is too old to compare against the Custom V-Rocker, however I did ride an 08 Custom X last year, which I don't think held a candle to the V-Rocker. I'd love to ride a Skate Banana to see how it compares.
