"Great Easy Binding" 1/3/2013
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2013 Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Flexy and Fun, Buttery,
  • Cons:  Only in Black,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I've used this binding for a while and I love the soft flex. Its great for jib riders or beginners alike. Great ratchets make strapping in smooth and quick.

  • Name: 2013 Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Lightweight , Sturdy,
  • Cons:  Soft padding,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I purchased these a few weeks ago and so far they are great. They are lightweight and sturdy. The soft pads seem like they won't last long but it is comfortable. I would recommend them for anyone starting out looking for good quality at a fair price

"Good value" 1/5/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Softer strap, no tool adjustment, Durable
  • Cons:  Toe cap slipage, High back has been known to snap on lifts, baseplate padding wears easily
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I had a pair of customs for 3 years before the baseplate cracked. I know have the 2012 and they seem lighter and have softer straps. The persistent down side to these bindings is toe cap slipage. I had to upgrade. If prices are close I would go for missions.

"Pretty Good" 1/5/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Well made,
  • Cons:  Wear,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I demoed these bindings after using some mission bindings, and to my surprise I couldn't tell much difference in anything but the ankle strap. The customs were actually more comfortable. On the downside the padding seems to get torn up fairly easily.

"Solid Starter Binding" 12/19/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Cost, AdjustabilityStrap can be a bit difficult, Comfort
  • Cons:  Ankle strap can be a bit difficult, Not for advanced riders, A bit heavy
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I got this set of bindings to pair with my '12 Rossi Taipan Amptek. I feel it's a great combination, as both products aim at pleasing everyone. I liked that for the price, the Customs offer a ton of adjustment options (I have only begun to tinker with many of em). The instructions it came with were pretty helpful, and it came with screws and mounting equipment for 2x4 and channel setups. I'm a fairly quickly-progressing beginner, and I feel like these should work for me for a while. I would say the build quality might not be high enough to work for advanced/very aggressive riders, but they're perfect for me :). On the mountain, they did GREAT at holding my boots in place, once I got the ankle straps to cooperate. I really had a difficult time with the left foot binding getting the ankle strap into the notch for tightening. Once it was in, it was in. But eff sometimes it took forever. It seems like it was just too stiff to want to conform to the shape of the boot(they were brand new when I first tried em this weekend). I will try to play with it a bit more in warm temps to see if i can make them a bit more pliable/broken in, and I'll add that to my review later when I test em out again. The toe straps were very comfortable, held me well in place, and I didn't feel any pressure points. I don't have a stomp pad on my board (yet), but even without one, I felt the highbacks were in perfect position to push my boot into when getting off the lift. The black color is nice, and pretty much goes with anything. I was aiming to get the red/black combo, but it sold out before I could purchase it. Either way, I'm happy with what I got. :) Very good all-around binding. Would recommend to friends.

Adding to this review, as I said I would. I got out on the mountain again today, and the binding straps were CONSIDERABLY easier to set this time as opposed to the first time out. Still comfy, still a great hold.. Still highly recommended :)

"Sweet Bindings" 10/23/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2013 Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Easy to strap up,
  • Cons:  Wear and tear,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I got these bindings last year brand new and loved them. They're extremely comfortable and easy to make adjustments on. They are great in the park and all over the mountain. The only issue I have with them is the soft lining on the bottom was worn down pretty quickly by my boots.

  • Name: 2012 Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  good for beginners,
  • Cons:  toe straps pop off while riding, high-backs break too easy!,
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   I had these bindings for about 3 months and I liked them at first but after having them about 3 weeks the toe straps started to pop off while i was riding and i went through 3 high-backs in a month while having them. Like i said their good for beginners, you just cant be aggressive with them.
