Burton Says: Like Skeletor on steroids, the Doom is clean and simple, with everything you need, nothing you don’t. Strictly trained for freestyle destruction, the Doom is designed to bring shredding’s most basic truths to light. Unbreakable strength, ghost-weight, and eternal comfort – blood-stained concrete and the violent sound of stomped tricks will not deter this merciless freestyle slayer.

"Alright Binding.. Bad Toe Strap" 5/14/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Doom
  • Pros:  Good for bigger people due to stiffness,
  • Cons:  Cap strap will NOT stay on,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I liked this binding for the first 5 days I rode it. After that, that cap strap would literally fall off with every trick I did. Even turning too hard was enough to get my toe to pop out. Wouldn't buy it again. I have been having this problem with Burton bindings since about 2007.

"Missions with upgraded straps" 5/15/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Doom
  • Pros:  Burton W48 Warranty, Comfy,
  • Cons:  Soft for my taste, Slightly out dated?,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I'm kinda surprised they still have these since they are pretty old. I rode these a few times in 2009 before switching to Cartels. As far as I could tell, they were the same exact binding as the Missions of that year, with the exception of upgraded straps. It is a softer binding. I prefer Cartels over these because they are slightly stiffer. I would recommend the newer Missions over these. Some of the newer Missions have the Reflex hinge, a slightly more responsive back (I think it is the older Cartel back), and some (Burton Restricted) have the upgraded Asym straps. These are fine, but I would save up a couple bucks and get the more recent version with newer technology.

"doom" 1/2/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Doom
  • Pros:  comfy straps, good support,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   burton is doing something right. i havent had any problems with these at all. the highback is pretty supportive but gives it a good response. the only thing i could gripe about is the binding not having a dampening pad so your board doesnt get scratched..

"Mission/Cartel for Park/Street" 11/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton Doom
  • Pros:  comfy, durable,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   The Burton Doom is basically a pair of Burton Mission bindings with the Cartel toe strap. That said, they are rather soft and pair well with soft, flexible park/street boards. They also fit Salomons Fusion boots like a charm. It would be nice if the baseplate were padded, but I guess there are too many holes in the plate for it to make much of a difference. The foam on the highback is soft and prone to abrasion damage, but its not really a big deal

"want one" 11/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Doom
  • Pros:  not restricting, great to shred, design
  • Cons:  have not found one,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   loaned from a fellow snowboarder, was hard to return it!! definately on my to buy list, stuck to the board very well and very responsive, while allowing some flex. Not to sure how it would go in deep powder though

"Great all around binding" 11/2/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Doom
  • Pros:  Comfy, Durable,
  • Cons:  Highback foam gets torn up, not a big deal,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I have put about 15 days on these bindings with an 08 sierra crew. Total time has been about 15% park, 20% tree runs, 30% powder, 35% groomers. This binding does everything I need it to, it's great for beginners to intermediate skill levels like me. Responsive and reliable, love the toe cap. I will be getting a more park oriented binding this year but the doom will stay in my arsenal for cruising days.

"Avoid" 10/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Doom
  • Pros:  Easy to fit,
  • Cons:  Rachet system keeps slipping, Screws come loose, Not the easiest to ride on.
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I bought these bindings knowing that Burton was a great make. I haven't had a great experience with them and have resorted to my old bindings as I just don't like these and the annoying thing of the rachet system means they keep slipping. Not the safest on the mountain. I am trying to get my money back on these as I don't think they are worth the money.

"weightless" 10/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Doom
  • Pros:  SUPER LIGHT, COMFORTABLE,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   GREAT BINDINGS...DEFINITELY a good buy...nothing wrong with the bindings. It could use more padding when your hitting bigger features, but for cruising around and a decent binding for a great price...THE DOOMs are great

"Ehhhhh" 10/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Doom
  • Pros:  Fairly good, nice looking, Best of burton
  • Cons:  Stiff, You could like it depending on your taste, Not the best quality
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   I used this binding at HighCascade... Too stiff for my taste. I would say these are some of the best of the Burton Bindings except for maybe the malavita but I would go for some Forum Shakas
