Name: 2012 Burton Emphasis Backpack Men's
Pros: Nice design, Holds a good amount, Keeps everything relatively dry
Cons: Can have wet items , Not a lot of pouches, Straps are kinda weak

Experience: I bought this backpack a couple of weeks ago and have to say I haven't enjoyed having it so much. Took it fishing with me and had it in the bottom of the boat where it sopped up a little water, making the contents inside kinda wet. There arent many pouches for u to separate items in but you can still manage for a regular day of boarding. I feel that the straps are kinda weak considering they are smaller than my last backpacks and I destroyed that one.... I would only buy it if you saw it in person first....

Name: 2012 Burton Emphasis Backpack Men's
Pros: Strong straps, Large capacity, good padding,

Experience: I had an awesome experience with this backpack! Firstly its large capacity. I use it when i have to hike up/down my base mountain, I can fit a water bottle, helmet, goggles in its casing and a snowboard jacket when i get too hot. Its pretty sweet for uni as well, its got a compartment for a laptop and the padding is thick for your back. the front straps are thick and sturdy. As for the spare straps with velcro , theyve pretty much saved my life once. My base mountain is temple basin and its a wild field, no groomed slopes or chairlifts. Once me and my friends decided to snowboard down to the carpark ( you have to hike up to the ski field) and for some unknown reason went down this valley covered in the most amazing pow which was unknown terrotory to us. Turns out that valley ended with a 15m+ waterfall. So we had to climb up this one side of the valley to get to the actual path (steep. very steep. and covered in snow, thank god it was also covered in bushes that kept the snow in place and gave us good footing). Everyone had to try climb that vertical wall of snow carrying their board or skis in their hands... While i just strapped by board onto my backpack. I was nearly having a panic attack while climbing that damn thing for an hour since im scared of heights... probably wouldntve made it up without the backpack hahah the straps are great and the velcro is definitely strong enough to hold a board. I fully trust the straps with the board now, theyre pretty thick so I seriously cant see them fraying from the edge of the board anytime soon.
