Sierra Says: A new addition to Burton's line, the Exile EST is the new face of freestyle innovation. This binding is characterized by its lightweight design, enhanced board feel, and park-influenced construction. The Asym straps are clutch for turning tricks in the jib park because the unbalanced design increases lateral board flex, reducing butters and presses to mindless tasks. The Exile EST pairs up great with any Burton freestyle board, including the Hero, Dom, and Fix.

Burton Says: Shed the clutter and keep the core with the NEW Exile EST's bare bones approach to shredding. Experience maximized cushioning, feel, and connectivity with the SensoryBED. Press through the kink and spin harder than a break-dancing rave DJ with the new laterally supportive asym Superstrap. An indestructible baseplate and soft, forgiving "tombstone" hi-back seal the deal in your quest to land tricks that haven't even been named yet.

"Good solid bindings" 12/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Exile EST Coalition
  • Pros:  Comfy straps, Good construction,
  • Cons:  Shorter highback,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I bought these off of a guy who punished these bindings and they are in still great shape. I've rode them 4 times now this season with the 2010 custom v rocker and it's a pretty good combination. These bindings are a bit softer as they are meant to be park bindings, but on my custom I go everywhere with them. They are really comfy bindings and the straps are great. Word of the wise, go with a medium binding for size 10 boots. At least for a size 10 Celsius. I have larges and I can make it just fit at smallest settings but ideally a medium would be a lot better as I'm sure I would have better placement of the straps and better pressure. I wish that it had the taller highback that is more iconic for Burton but they made these bindings specifically with a different shape. All in all great bindings.

"2010 discovery" 6/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Exile EST Coalition
  • Pros:  Comfortable, relatively soft, good looking
  • Cons:  none so far,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   Didn't manage to buy this binding from sierra, so needed to pay 40 bucks more. Nevertheless, I'm pretty satisfied. The binding is relatively soft, great for park and freestyle. Straps are wider at the end, so they don't create points of pressure. Gel in the footbed makes it really pleasant to hit any jumps, even with flat landings. I ride Hero 155W in 32 lashed and these bindings seem to fit the set perfectly well. The highbacks on the bindings are not very high which makes them more forgiving and kinda loose. I recommend it to anyone who has a reverse camber board, but it will probably work fine for traditional camber.
