Burton boards with the Channel System do not ship with Retro Disks or hardware. You will need to call Burton for a free set at (800) 881-3138.

Sierra Says: Looking for the ultimate backcountry experience? The Burton Fish is probably the board for you. With its 30mm tapered shape, 3 inch setback stance, and powder-specific S-Rocker, the Fish is designed purely for fresh snow conditions. While we wouldn't recommend this board for the resort rider, the Fish is a great choice for the avid powder hound that isn't afraid to explore untouched territories.

Burton Says: When you're absolutely pitted, goggles caked and rendered useless, choking on turn after bottomless turn, there's no better friend than the Fish. Built for speed and tapered more than any other board in the line, the Terje and JG-designed Fish features a Swallow Tail and S-Rocker to capitalize on its ridiculous float, punch, and acceleration. The Channel offers unlimited stance options, and the ability to surf barefoot with the EST ShredBED option.

"2010 Burton Fish 160" 2/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton Fish LTD
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Chop,Crud,Groomers,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Powder
  • Pros:  Great for deep stuff, really quick turns, fast, Responsive, effortless float, lightweight,

Experience:   I got this toward the end of last season in a 160cm. It was by far the easiest snowboard to use in deep stuff. The 30mm taper gives it a real surfy feel, and the really short and small tail made it whip around on turns. It was a very fun snowboard to use in the trees. Partially because it could plow through the snow, and also because it could just turn effortlessly. It was also very fast in powder, and you could just float through anything. It was also very good on groomers. Many people think the fish is unusable on groomers and ice, but it holds up very well. Anything that has a sidecut will work just fine on groomers. It also was possible to ride this switch, but I wouldn't recommend it in the deeper stuff. Overall, this is a very fun and surfy mid flex pow stick that is great for trees and the really deep stuff. It is one of the best deep snow stick on the market.

"Best Powder Board in the World. Period." 3/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Fish LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Carving,Chop,Crud,Groomers,High Speeds,Off Trail,Powder
  • Pros:  Effortless float, carves like a dream, king of the powder!

Experience:   This is by the far the best powder board, period. Takes your powder riding to a brand new level. Float, slash, and carve like you've always wanted to, this board is your whiteroom dreamstick. I absolutely LOVE this board. You can ride in 3 feet of powder, and just surf on top, no problemo. "Go for the pow" 11/7/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Fish LTD
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Powder board, FLOAT,
  • Cons:  Limited use,

Experience:   With Burton's S-Rocker rocker shape, we see the fish take a big leap forward in powder boards, the float off this thing is amazing and effortless, trust me you back leg will thank you. Combined that with the tapered shape and the swallow tail, you get a board that is built for one thing, and one thing only, powder. So if you can afford to buy a board for powder only, or lucky enough to live somewhere where there's powder at your door on a daily basis, look no further. If your like the rest of us who enjoy the pow, but don't see it often and can only afford one board, go for the Burton Custom, you won't be disappointed.

"Powder is my home" 9/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton Fish LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Carving,High Speeds,Powder
  • Pros:  Quick powder turns, No back leg burn in powder, Easy float in powder
  • Cons:  Smaller tail makes groomers a little squirly,

Experience:   I rode this board in knee high powder at the sugar bowl bruizzapalooza demo day...I've been on the burton malolo for last four seasons and so have a lot of experience with powder boards. The burton fish is INSANE in powder, my confidence rose as the board allowed me to increase my speed through powder, the pin tail response is almost too quick. My personal advice on the fish is if you are more of a resort powder rider go with the malolo. If you are going helicopter, cat riding or just doing laps on resort tree runs, go with the fish. I say this because both boards kill it in the powder, however the malolo handles the groomers in the resorts much better.

Who wants to buy a fish to ride in the grommers???? Everyone knows that the FISH is one of the best powder boards out there and does NOT deserve a 4 stars because of groomers perfomance.

"dragonfly and vaporskin -- what a REAL LTD should have" 5/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Fish LTD
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Powder
  • Pros:  super super light, classy graphics, unbelievable float
  • Cons:  expensive -- but not from Sierra,

Experience:   Actually throwing down this review for my wife, who was lucky enough to have me purchase this board in 150 along with a set of soul-glow blue LEXA EST's from Sierra right in the middle of this season. (Needless to say it was at a ridiculous discount, Thx Sierra!) This is probably the best powder board that's ever been made, and the proof of that is in the fact that Burton decided to dumb down the 2010 Fish LTD by taking out the super good stuff that makes this board what it is. She loves it, of course, for the amazing float. Been out with her in waist-deep several times in the backcountry, my experience with the board has generally been packing it up the hill for her (I ride my split board on these trips) and handing off at the top -- but that will be ending when I get some EST bindings for next season as I'll be stealing this for resort powder days when she's not around! It is so light I forget it's on my back, and she looks like a pro surfer ripping cut-backs in the super pow. Even though my s-series is a great floater she always zooms right by me when we get to the flats so I suppose this might be better . . . .
