"Needs fixing" 10/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton Fix Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Heaps of fun, but only while it lasted,
  • Cons:  Weak as piss,

Experience:   This board uses Burton's Party Rocker which, put simplistically, is a rocker/flat/rocker setup. Buttering and jibbing are just as fun as you'd expect for a board like this, but the main reason I like this design is that it has all the playful freestyle aspects, but it's still stable at speed. After riding it for a while (just getting used to it) I felt really comfortable hitting some steep groomed for a bit of high speed carving - and here's where things went REALLY wrong! Burton calls their ridiculously thin tip/tail setup Pro Tip - but I call it piss weak crap. Within less than 15 minutes of high speed carving, the nose folded (along the edge of the Scoop) mid-transition, and snapped! OK, so this is a freestyle board, and not specifically designed for carving - but NO board should be this prone to failing under normal riding circumstances! I've since heard many similar accounts of this happening - NOT good Burton! To make matters worse, Burton refused to warranty the board because I bought it from Sierra.

"Awesome park board/all mountain fun" 11/10/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Fix Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Super flexy so is awesome fun to press anywhere, Butters amazingly, Edges won't catch (even at high speed)
  • Cons:  Not solid enough to really nail high speed lines,

Experience:   I have had this board for one season and was a little worried when I first got it as I'm not a great park rider, more of an all mountain kinda guy. The fix really surprised me, it's great fun anywhere on the mountain - you can press easily, hop over rocks, hit trail jumps and then nail moves in the park. Can't put it past the sweet graphics too. The shape is super forgiving and the rocker at the ends really keeps you up and floating on powder days or out of the crud on slushy days. The only con would be the fact that it is quite a flexible board, so isn't great at really high speeds - but if you're game then it's great fun and if you're an experienced rider it can be managed anywhere on the mountain (black diamond runs and chutes etc). All in all if you're looking for something you can use absolutely anywhere and have a really sick time mucking around while you're doing it, this is a great board.

"could be better" 11/30/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Fix Snowboard
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  awesome for jumps, great for rails,
  • Cons:  not to good in powder,

Experience:   This board is an absolute monster in the park it can handle any jibbing you can trow at it due to its rail ready edges and its spoon nose and tail design.with the rail ready edges you will almost never catch your edge on the rail.I wouldn't recommend this board in the powder because of its spoon nose and tail it gets caught in the powder and gets hard to control

"EST not for me" 11/21/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton Fix Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  great for jumps,
  • Cons:  heavy, stiff,

Experience:   After reading review after review I decided to make this my board since the majority of people said this is a very soft board. As soon as I got it, I could feel how stiff it was and the weight was horrible. The sidewalls are pretty beefy so you won't have to worry about messing them up. Also the EST system is very temperamental since it only has two bolts holding it in, it is very easy for one of them to move and move your binding out of place. Overall if you want a soft board move on to something else, if you're into jumps this board is perfect.

  • Cons:  lacks a little pop,

Experience:   i bought this as my very first board and learnt to snowboard on it. it provides good balance and able to carve when you hit some softer pow. it lacks a little pop when going through the park but would describe as a good little all rounder. highly recommend

"Fun" 11/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: Burton Fix Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Fun, mellow flex, procker
  • Cons:  sluggish, tends to wash,

Experience:   Not for everyone. If you had to choose one board to always ride I would not pick this one. I will say that it is a super fun park board. I love the P-Rockers lazy feel. The construction of the board does make it easy to wash out on landings and a little sluggish in turns.

  • Name: Burton Fix Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Flexible, Easy to warm up to, Good pop

Experience:   This was my first snowboard, and can I say it was rad. Perfect for the intermediate boarder. Easy flow through any park, jibbing, hitting rails, and jumping. It was also good to me just flying through some groomed runs. Favorite board yet.

"Get yer' plank on" 7/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton Fix Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  It is a snowboard,
  • Cons:  Heavy, Stiff, lame

Experience:   Take one of those people who post pictures of themselves planking, Then stand on them and try and ride down a snow covered hill. That is the fix. This board sucked. It was too stiff for what it was marketed as. Felt like i was riding on a door down the hill. Pretty heavy too, it killed my feet on the lift.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Fix Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  All around purpose, speed, easy riding

Experience:   I have tried this after my friend bought it from this web site over the summer. Like the other says, it was cheaper in Summer. I love to ride this board because you can have fun at different mountains and snow styles. I would recommend this for beginners.
