Sierra Says: The newest addition to Burton's legendary freeride family, the Guru is an impressive blend of value and performance. The slightly tapered shape helps cut through powder like a sword, while the twin flex promotes a balanced and forgiving feel. This board works best for the intermediate freerider that loves carving around the mountain and doesn't spend much time in the terrain parks.

Burton Says: The way of freeriders requires a heightened awareness toward one's surroundings. Finding untouched stashes well after the storm or terrain anomalies that boost you well above the gaze of unsuspecting onlookers isn't a... More ?

  • Pros:  Great board, Simple graphics,
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   Seems like a great board (only been 2 days in the Aussie snow)so not a lot of the mountain was open. The edges were awesome hanging on to the ice. Very responsive and super quick, had a ball! Cant wait for some more snow.....

"great in pow" 4/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton Guru
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  great pow board,

Experience:   The way of the freerider requires a heightened awareness towards one’s surroundings. Finding untouched stashes well after the storm or terrain anomalies that boost you well above the gaze of unsuspecting onlookers isn’t a skill, it’s an art form. In your quest for freeride enlightenment, the NEW Guruâ„¢ is your guide. Fast enough to push your skills, but soft enough to ease your fear, let your journey begin.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: Burton Guru
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Price,

Experience:   Just a heads up to all that the graphics on this board are not identical to those shown on the website. Bottom is predominantly cream not green. Green and Cream are transposed. I haven't riden it yet, but just wanted to warn people that liked the green bottom graphic.

"The Guru" 4/10/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton Guru
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  High Speeds,Powder
  • Pros:  good on powder, all around,

Experience:   The Burton Guru is a really good powder all mountain board. I noticed the nose is a bit bigger on this one and is tapered to both ends. Tail smaller. Good on icy conditions too and can rail like any other. Depending on your ride, it's a beginner or intermediate board. Good starter all-mountain for new riders. 7/10 stars.
