"Really fun board!" 3/20/2014

  • Name: Burton Hero Snowboard 155 Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Nice pop, Good flex (not too soft), Loose and surfy
  • Cons:  Unstable at very high speeds,

Experience:   I really like this board. The flex is soft enough to really work this board on the ground and in the park, but it still has great pop. Even though it's reverse camber, landings from jumps feel nice and stable. While the reverse camber gives the board a nice surfy feel, I felt pretty connected to the snow even at fairly high speeds, probably due to the frostbite edges. As I've found with other reverse camber boards, the Hero did wash out sometimes when I was bombing hills at top speed. But again, at mid to fairly high speeds the board handled remarkably well. I don't use this board to straight charge hills anyway. I use it for ground tricks and the terrain park.. but when I do want to get some speed, this board holds up pretty well :)

  • Name: Burton Hero Snowboard 155 Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  good pop, fun to ride, channel system
  • Cons:  a little unstable at high speeds,

Experience:   I have been riding for three years now, and I rode this board all last year. It was a solid board and I had no problems with it. I rode light powder 4-6 inches, rode the beginner park, and cruised greens to blacks in the midwest and found the board responsive and fun to ride.

"Awesome board" 3/22/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Hero Snowboard 155 Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  rocker, soft,
  • Cons:  design is a little plain,

Experience:   I have the 2011 155cm version of this board and love it. My first rocker board, and I'll never go back. So much easier to manuever than my old board. The edges held well on the east coast ice, and not much chatter at faster speeds. Only knock is the topcoat is this all black look that's pretty boring. wish the design was cooler.

"Beg to differ" 2/8/2012

  • Name: Burton Hero Snowboard 155 Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Park, Edges, style
  • Cons:  speed wobbles,

Experience:   I demo'd this board at first from a friend. It was amazing. Great for park. Good features. But speed wobbles at high speeds. But depends on what you consider high-speeds anything below maybe 20 is slow. Then there comes the spped wobbles. But that isnt what the board is made for its a park board. Get it. Worth the money. Intermediate/advanced.

"HERO" 12/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Hero Snowboard 155 Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  lots of pop, great at high speeds, pure fun
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   I demo'd this board for a full day and it was awesome. I went from felling that I was riding on snow to feeling that I was flying. The edges were catch free and it definitely had plenty of pop for big jumps. The board was just all around fun on the mountain and is a great all mountain board
