***** All 152's HAVE A WHITE TOP SHEET********

Sierra Says: The Burton Hero is a super original freestyle board with all kinds of interesting features. The V-Rocker shape is really like three rockers put together. For all you non Burton tech guys, that means its camber is similar to a reverse camber (banana). One between your bindings and one near each the nose and tail. This puts out a great, skate-oriented feel that will be much loved by the park riders. The Pressure Distribution Edges will allow this board to hold a great edge around the mountain, especially on the harder snow or ice. If you are a freestyle rider looking for an incredibly innovative board this winter, swoo... More ?

  • Name: Burton Hero
  • Use:  Boxes,Carving,Groomers,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds, Strong edgehold, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Top sheet scratches

Experience:   the rocker on this board takes awhile to get used to.(atleast a full day, if not more) at first it seems as though the board is gonna wash out but that is just the rocker doing it stuff. Along with holding a great edge the burton hero also has a ton of pop

"Burton Hero: Like a fine malt scotch" 12/3/2008

  • Name: Burton Hero

  • Pros:  Easy to carve, Stable at high speeds, Strong edgehold, Great value, Popular on mountain, Well known brand

Experience:   Overall: Like a nice malt scotch, it's an acquired taste. I can't wait to try this rocker on a high-end board, like an Uninc (if they were still making Unincs). I also think that compared to the Fix, I prefer the mellower rocker of the Fix for most applications, adding a bit more ease to your butters and spinning/jibbing without really affecting pop or turns. Kudos to Burton for releasing this board at a reasonable price vs. sticking it on a $900 board for the first season.

Experience:   i rode this as an all-around board.. 145 pounds on the 158. definitely softer than my usual boards, but doesnt ride quite as soft as it seems. holds a good edge and turns well and rides fine everywhere. super fun in pow for a twin as well. nothing beats taper and setback, but as far as twins go, a rockered board is where its at. bouncy between turns... tons of fun. rode well on the typical ak terrain here, though i definitely still prefer a stiffer board. also tons of fun on groomers and little dork around stuff. fun everywhere. i really enjoyed this board. pretty simple build.. decent core, sintered base, etc.

Experience:   My favorite board of the 4 I've owned. Between the scoop and V rocker, I feel like it's impossible to catch an edge. I love how you just put the tail down hard and lift off to ollie rather than loading up on traditional camber boards.

"09 Hero Smooth As Butter" 5/12/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Hero
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Strong edgehold, Popular on mountain, Soft, Well known brand

Experience:   Burton Hero is the choice for you beginners who are just learning to carve it up on the mountain. Edge hold is awsome and very forgiving. It feels like a butter knife on butter with total control.

"Good But not Great" 4/13/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Hero
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Popular on mountain, Soft, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Doesn't perform, Sluggish

Experience:   When i first got the Hero i was infactuated with it. But as the season moved on i became increasingly disappointed. Why you ask.... Reverse camber is not made for high level perfomance. When i go full spead at a big jump, i want performance. When i am racing skiers i want performance. The Hero is fun for casual snowboarding: butters at slow speeds, cruising and riding powder on flatter runs. I rode some "man" lines at squaw with the hero and wished i was on a malolo. I rode 2 feet at northstar and had a blast on the hero. If you are a casual rider, you may love this board.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Hero
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Carving,Groomers,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  Durable, lightweight, Easy to carve, poppy, Popular model, Strong edgehold, Great value, Popular on mountain, Soft, Well known brand

Experience:   Heard about how playful and fun this board was and still was pleasantly surprised when i took it out for a first ride. It was pretty easy to butter and press the board and the edge hold was great. Nollies and Ollies were just as easy and this board is great to mess around on. Especially for someone who is just starting out in park/freestyle like me. It took less effort to do things on this board than others i've ridden. Paired with EST bindings this board is great for all levels of riding.
