"Solid boot" 1/5/2011
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Ion Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Comfy, Flex, Profile
  • Cons:  Price, A bit plain,
  • Fit:  soft
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  11
  • Boot Size:  11

Experience:   I bought this boot in early November and have been riding it since. I have absolutely no complaints. The flex is just right for the park but is still stiff enough for responsive carves. It is warm, comfortable and looks sleek and minimal. THis boot is quite a tight fit for me but I have really wide feet. Overall a really good boot, highly recommended.

Experience:   I rode some nitro trs teams the last 8-9 year because they´r the only boots with the flex and stability I want. Now, this session i changed to some white Ions and... sorry Nitro, this fits better I like this boots more then my normal shoes! It fits like a glove the flex and support of the ankle is like a dream and no nore cold feet! the 2 Zonelacing-system works preety well and when they last so long like the nitros did, i know what my next boots are! BLACK IONS!!! not the ceapest but for sure one of the best! ps.: please,Burton, make a sneaker like this bombastic Boots! i woud buy a pair

"Burton Ion" 3/27/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Ion Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  speed zone lacing , holds my feet really great,
  • Cons:  skinny feet makes boots turn into weird shape,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  10
  • Boot Size:  11

Experience:   I purchased a Burton Ion 5 years ago, used. I must of put over 200 days and i think I could still use it, if I got some parts.... But got too lazy and few of my friends got me a nike zoom force... Bad idea... zoon force was way too stiff for me and on my first run of the season, i caught my toe edge and did a face plant!! Embrassing due to a fall wasnt even an issue... My knee cracked and I am still recovering from it after 2 years... I tried everythin that I can possibly try to make the boota MINE... But it failed... So this year I decided to go back to the 2012 Burton Ion!!!! When I put my feet into the new boots, I fell in love again!!!! Its super light but not weak, holds your ankel well, speed zone lacing is the bomb!!! Gets me in and out of snow with almost no effort. I have skinny feet but size 11 so when i tighten the boots really hard, it slightly goes out of ahape but thats just the cosmetic part so i really dont mind. Oh also the nike boots i had, it leaked on slushy day, powder day and any day!! Ion keeps my feet too comfortable for me to almost forget that i have a snowboard boots on. Its all good but the price... $400.00 retail?? I got 30% off from a friends shop... But if it wasnt for him... I dont think I would even think about buying this boots... But overall, Im very happy with the performance of this boots!!!!

"best boot i've own" 2/19/2012

  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  9.5
  • Boot Size:  9

Experience:   I normally try to avoid the big B but after reading a lot of reviews I decided to give in, and was that ever a good decision. These boots are super comfortable, there is a good amount of padding at the sole of the foot. I notice this when switching from my other pair (F24/F20) while hitting jumps with the same snowboard/binding setup. heel hold is great, not too soft but not super stiff either, just all around a great boot, probably the only boot I will buy now, definitely recommend it

Experience:   this might be one of the comfiest boots beside 32s that i have tried. The flex is just right for the park but is still stiff enough for responsive carves. It is warm, comfortable and looks sleek. speed lace system works in seconds but the only thing i am afraid of is it ripping

"First time without foot pain!" 2/28/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Ion Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Comfy, Stiff, Moldable liner
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  10.5
  • Boot Size:  11

Experience:   After struggling with foot pain for years and years in different pairs of boots, I demo'd a pair of Ion this season. Almost immediately I decided I needed these boots. After using them three days straight, still no foot pain. The liner isn't nearly molded yet, and they already have that broken in feel. Also, the boots are so responsive and have such great heel hold that toe side turns are a dream... For people that have had problems with pain in the ball of their foot after a day or riding, I would probably give these a go!

  • Name: Burton Ion Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Stiff, Comfortable, Speed Lacing
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  9
  • Boot Size:  8.5

Experience:   I have the 2011 ions and I am stoked on them. They are stiff and offer plenty of support for bombing but still feel very comfortable riding freestyle. The speed lacing system works great. I wear a size 9 shoe but wear 8.5 in these which is very snug but that is how I like my boots (as tight as possible with NO pressure point). I highly recommend this boot.

"Worth it?? At the right price." 11/1/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Ion Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Fresh look, Comfortable, EST Sizing
  • Cons:  No BOA,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  12
  • Boot Size:  12

Experience:   Great boot if you find it at the right price. Searching over the summer I found my boot at just under $200! I would easily pay more for these though. They fit very spaciously on the inside, and with the est fit making the shell of the boot a size smaller than normal, I don't have to search wide boards only anymore! I've been riding a friends board that isn't a wide and there's no toe bite. They keep my feet warm throughout the whole day of riding so it's not like they are lacking there either. I honestly sat here for five minutes and could not think of a single bad thing to say about these other than they don't have a BOA quick lace system, instead there's Burton's system which I don't like as much.

"Love The Ion" 8/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Ion Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Broader than a DC Boot, So Soft!, Very comfortable
  • Cons:  The Price, but it's worth every penny!,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  12
  • Boot Size:  12

Experience:   The Ion is the most comfortable boot I have ever owned! This is a boot that is more comfortable when it is laced up compared to walking with the laces undone. It's soft on the inside and the padding is the best. Lacing system is failsafe so far and gives great control for fit. I would highly recomend them!!!
