Experience:
I love this jacket. Everything I purchase from Burton is of excellent quality and this jacket is no different. That being said, here are my gripes.
1) BIG- I went with a Medium because I was trying to get a jacket that will work on the town and on the mountain because I hate packing two jackets when I travel. I think this jacket is made a little too large for that.
2) No Goggle pockets. Is it because it's down? I dunno. It's the first jacket I have ever seen that lack the goggle pocket.
I haven't worn this jacket on the mountain but I know it's going to be warm, and I know it will keep me dry. Down and GoreTex assure that. I love the style of the coat. It is made very well and has some interesting features (removable hand thingamajigs and removeable gator+gator pocket). I just wish it had some inside pockets and was a little more form fitting.
Description: Feels big compared to shell jackets, but not cumbersome
Experience:
Feels bigger than most shell jackets because of the down, but it's so soft and flexible that it doesn't get in the way. Stayed warm and dry in slushy midwest conditions. Great quality and features (snow skirt, wrist and neck gaiters), but could use a chest pocket. The pockets it does have are positioned a little too vertically to put your hands in them.
Description: Longer than normal, I have a medium and it fits almost longer than a large
Experience:
I have had this jacket since last year, it has been super warm since. I can literally wear it with a t shirt underneath on a frigid day and be fine. The jacket is a little big to wear around town, but is perfect for snowboarding.
