  • Name: Burton Malavita EST Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  tweakability, comfy,
  • Cons:  maybe a little soft for aggressive riders ,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   Rode these with the Hero. They matched up really well. Mostly rode a slushy park and early morning hot pow. They were comfy...no foot fatigue. Maybe a little too soft for some serious all mountain crushing.

"Gooooood Binding" 3/29/2011

  • Name: Burton Malavita EST Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Fast and easy to buckle, Cool lookin, easy to mount/adjust
  • Cons:  Toe cap tearing,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I bought these bindings to use this season. THey work greatt, buckles are good and fast, hi back has lots of support and they stay tight on the board most of the time (few exceptions). The only problem i had with them was that the toe cap tore on both bindings where the plastic strap part goes through, called up burton and they sent me new ones no charge. Overall pretty satisfied.

"Awesome binding" 12/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Malavita EST Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  flexy enough, sturdy at the bottom,, awesome cushioning
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I love this binding period. When I first heard about it and tried them on, I thought maybe it is not cool enough... or would it be as good as my infidels.. But it did live up to my expectations. They have cushioned high back and super forgiving during presses. Also the asymmetric ankle strap makes it easy to lean on while your butters and butter that S** so hard. Also I loved the texture of the binding it self and looking pretty bad ass to rock these pairs out because they are super dark. Cap strap is not just a ultra capstrap that has a hole in the middle but it is something that is a little more reinforced with sturdy rubber so I feel more secure. I love it

"super cush and light, responsive enough" 12/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Malavita EST Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  very comfortable, love the straps, classic stylez,
  • Cons:  could be a little stiffer for my taste,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Picked these up this summer in black (size L) to pair with my new custom vrocker (fantastic looking setup, for what it's worth). Got a good deal but am somewhat miffed at Burton's new pricing scheme -- although we're all rejoicing at the lowered prices, it just goes to show how inflated everything was last year -- and have ridden these on the vrocker with both my old Sabbath boots and new Driver X's. First thing I noticed was, obviously, the supreme comfort of this setup. Since I'm somewhat of a control freak I might like a bit stiffer set up, but these do perform well. Edge to edge not as fast as I'm accustomed to, but that might partly be a factor of the mid-wide nature of the vrocker which adds like 5 mm to the waist width. I'm a fan of EST for its easy adjustability and infinite stance options, but with my setup I don't really think it provides a much different board feel than un-base-less bindings. A word on the asym heel straps -- they FN rock. These are the most comfortable straps I've ever worn. Not sure if it gives additional nose and tail pressability or if it's just a side-effect of the vrocker, but can certainly bend that mother. Overall very happy with these binders so far -b
