"Best new Burton binding since co2 - period" 11/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Malavita Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Super comfortable, great straps, capable in any situation
  • Cons:  none ,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   These were purchased a month ago and sit on my jones mt twin. Similar response to cartels, this is a mid-stiff, do it all binding. Capable in any situation and perfect on any board but the stiffest beast. The straps are beyond comfortable and the toe strap will not/cannot slip off your boot. Highback is comfortable and responsive. I believe the footbed is slightly canted to save your knees. This is the type of binding you get dialed, strap in, and simply forget about! Excellent for any rider.

  • Name: Burton Malavita Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Durable, Comfy, Lightweight
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Smooth buckles, nice contruction, comfy and light, these bindings are sick. nice mid flex that works from the park to the pipe. They're supportive yet forgiving, making them good for begginers or intermediate riders. I definatly reccomend these.

"Real nice bindings" 12/2/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Malavita Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Ankle Strap, Forgiving flex, Very cushony
  • Cons:  Toe-Strap,

Experience:   I got the 2011 back last spring and have put probably around 50 days on them so far. Durability wise they are great, no breakage issues or wear spots to speak of. The flex of these are great for someone who makes the whole mountain their park and does not care for the aggressiveness of the Cartels. Slightly softer than the Cartels and also less natural forward lean than the Cartels. The ankle strap to me is a huge plus. The width of it and it's asymmetrical design really helps distribute the pressure across the strap and eliminate any pressure points. For as comfy as a strap as it is, it is still very supportive. My only real gripe thus far is the toe strap. I replaced mine with the toe-strap from Cartels and like it much better. The fit of the toe-strap will completely depend on the individuals boots, so what i may find didn't fit well could very well fit another perfect. I am also a big fan of asymmetrical high-backs, which is completely preference to the individuals. I highly recommend this binding.

"Favorite burton binding!" 3/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton Malavita Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Comfort, Mid Flex, Light
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   As of writing this review, these are my favorite bindings that burton offers. The buckles are smooth, the straps are comfortable and the toe strap stays in place. The flex of these bindings is the best part. They are not too stiff or soft, just right for all conditions. They are supportive when railing high speed turns, yet surfy when floating in the deep stuff.

  • Name: Burton Malavita Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  flexible, boot fits snug, no need to tighten, response incredible
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Everything I do is smoother and easier with these bindings. Especially butters! The extra lip allows for more boot contact when doing presses and butters.

"RAD Binder" 4/3/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Malavita Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Straps, Fit, Response
  • Cons:  NONE,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I finally got my Malavitas restricted version. I feel like the thing is alive under my feet. I can’t believe how much can more suitable bindings change the whole board, it’s much more flexy and it’s so much easier to press it really hard. I'll add some info after I get to some park riding.

"Malavitas are bloody awesome!" 1/23/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Malavita Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Durable, Light
  • Cons:  None,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   The Burton Malavitas are the second pair of bindings I have owned and I wont be looking back because they were AWESOME!!! I got 3 weeks out them this past season and i had them on my sierra crew and loved it! The tech on these bindings work so well together. The ankle strap is super comfy, the toe strap locks you in no matter what you throw at it and the baseplate under foot is solid and helpful with those sketchy landings throughout the day...plus I got them in blue and they just look sick! I would recommend these bindings to anyone who is looking for something with mid-flex and COMFORT!!! They were awesome from the first day I rode them and already looking forward to strapping them up for this coming snow season in Aus/New zealand!

"Soft but Responsive" 11/27/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Malavita Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  soft comfy straps, tight fit, responsive
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I swapped bindings with my friend for the day. He also wears a 8.5 boot and the I could definitely feel the difference between missions and the malavitas. My boot fit was tighter in the binding. no matter how I cranked the straps I still felt comfy in them without any pinch points. It was a warm day with loose snow and some ice in the shaded areas. The bindings responded great when I wanted to bomb the mountain and carve hard. I didnt get a chance to try them on the park with the exception of a few jumps. I honestly forgot that the bindings were there. The landings felt less harsh thanks to the soft pad on the base. The tight grip they had on my boots felt like a giant bear hug given to you by a NFL lineman. Tight and secure yet warm and comfy at the same time. I'm sold on these bindings.

Experience:   Demoed these the first year they came out in VT, rode them once and didn't change them out the rest of the day. Super fun binding, not super stiff, but still holds its own in the groomers.

"Malavita's Rule" 8/9/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Malavita Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Responsive, Solid construction, Durable
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I've been using Burton Triad's before I switched over to the Malavita's. The Triad's are great bindings, but in my opinion Malavita's are slightly better with their asym superstraps which are awkward to buckle at first because of their bigger size strap over the standard ones, but once I got used to them they felt much more comfortable and responsive. Just the overall feel of these bindings are gold, I felt one with the board. The Malavita's are hands down the most comfortbale bindings that I have ever tried on with no issues with pressure points even when the buckles are cranked down to the max. If you're looking for super comfy bindings, look no farther. I love these bindings!
