Sierra Says: The Mayhem is a great all-mountain choice for intermediate riders. With a twin shape and directional flex, this board is a blast in the park and even better on groomed runs.

Burton Says: Slow down. Just because the Mayhem is capable of supersonic speeds doesn't mean that you have to go that fast. And just cause the Grip and Rip edge tune cuts like a knife doesn't mean you need to spray every snowler blader in sight. When all that speed inevitably sends you skyward, the super stabilizing mid wide shape will give you the confidence to stomp with grace. Supersized boots? Try the Mayhem Wide.

Pros: Fast, Great Price, All around board
Cons: scratches easily,

Experience: The mayhem was one of my first boards i have ever rode. I just bought a new one because I missed how good it was. It a a great intermediate board with an even better price. One of its best features is its speed, it is very fast. It also looks realy good but the scratches are very easy to see.

Pros: Very cheap for what you get, Easy enough for a newbie to ride ,
Cons: Top sheet gets marked up fast,

Experience: This was my first board after riding a few and I was very happy with it. It's basically a custom, but without ics and a bit easier to ride. The thing I like the most about it is that a rider can start off with it and if they could resist buying more boards ride just that board and grow into it. It is a bit quick for a beginner board, but only if you point it down the all line and do nothing. It will not go off flying out of every turn; however, as I said the board is not dull and can still be exciting for an int. rider. Lastly, since it isn't equipped with the features like cruise control it will keep you honest about your edges and not let you develop bad habits. If you're looking for a first board or even a board to step up to without going extreme I'd check this one out.

Cons: top sheet scratches easily,

Experience: i learned on this burton mayhem and it treated me well. it's not too stiff and not too soft for someone who's looking to enjoy the ride and practice linking turns.
