Burton boards with the Channel System do not ship with Retro Disks or hardware. You will need to call Burton for a free set at (800) 881-3138.

Sierra Says: The industry's newest ultra-premium snowboard, the Method is the plushest ride available. With this board, Burton used 33 years of research, development, trial, error, trial again, innovation, and evolution to produce a snowboard unlike anything ever created. Instead of fiberglass, the Method is held together by an all new S2 carbon composite that boasts 30% more strength than fiberglass, but with 25% less weight. Instead of steel edges, the Method is wrapped with a titanium alloy and backed with Multizone EGD for unsurpassed edgehold and control. The heart of this beast is the new Alumasuperfly core, which is built with a NASA-grade aluminum honeycomb material combining the ultimate blend of strength and weightlessness. What about the base? The new Methalon N2O WFO Base is constructed with Teflon, one of the slickest materials known to man. All in all, the Method is an incredibly lightweight yet rock solid all-mountain snowboard. Not too aggressive, the only requirements for this one are the ability to turn comfortably and a taste for the finer things in life.

Burton Says: If you were handed keys to the Shangri-la, what would you build? This is the question we asked our R&D team and the Method was their answer. With every resource and no restriction, the result is a paradigm shift in high-performance. Using materials in entirely new ways, finely woven carbon strands, titanium edges, and strategically placed S2 glass help lighten the load while amplifying precision. When someone asked, 'If we can, why don't we?' No one argued.

"Burton Method - Lightest Board Ever" 9/26/2009
Helpful Review?   (4) Yes    (17) No

  • Name: Burton Method
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds
  • Pros:  Super Light, Crazy nice
  • Cons:  Expensive,

Experience:   I just picked up this burton method at a burton demo sale. It is by far the lightest board I have ever seen in my entire life. I also picked up a custom v-rocker and this burton method is atleast 50% of the weight. The top sheet cannot scratch as it is not made of plastic shiny stuff like typical boards. I haven't had a chance to ride it yet but i am really looking forward to it. It is a gorgeous board that turned a lot of heads as soon as I purchased it. Maybe I am actually going to sell it by virtue of it being a super advanced board, and I am beginner/intermediate. But i think it'll be a quiver killer for anybody that rides it. I'll update this review when I actually get to ride the board!

derek_twitch
you discribe yourself as a beginner but you ride a $1,500 board???

Carterrockz123
seriously a beginner or intermediate rider shouldnt ride this board

xX Burton Rid3r Xx
just because it is 1500 bucks doesnt make it "advanced" i find a custom x to be harder to ride than a vapor but yet its 500 bucks cheaper for 2010. Method is not extremely stiff, and the skill level all depends on personal preference, not price

"Method...really?" 7/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (5) No

  • Name: Burton Method
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  its a snowboard,
  • Cons:  a tad pricey,

Experience:   Is this board even necessary, it seems like it would be THE super board but nobody seems to buy it or use it. Burton put so much into it thinking it would be the ultimate quiver killer but it hasn't even killed anything other than wallet size. Somebody please show me the real potential of this board on the slopes. Also I'm so confused i don't even know what to rate the board, Sierra you need a new rating called IDK

"Demoed the board" 9/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Method
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Halfpipe,High Speeds,Jumps,Off Trail,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Very light, Good control, Simple design
  • Cons:  Expensive,

Experience:   I tried this product when Burton held the demo day at the Bear mountain at the beginning of 2010. I love this board. Very light and easy to control. However, I notice people with heavier weight were experiencing no different when using this board (based on the opinions from my friends who tried the demo too). Eventually I'll buy this board.

"Super light, super fast" 11/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (3) No

  • Name: Burton Method
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  extremely light and fast,
  • Cons:  nothing really,

Experience:   I tried this board last year at the burton demo day at Stratton with C60 bindings. This board is super fast and feels like it barely touches the snow. Doesn't really have graphix but the brushed metal look is hot.

Comments & Questions

SloppyJos
dude this board looks sick but is it really worth 1500 bucks

AlaskaDrew
I think the top sheet is transparent not a brushed metal graphic.

  • Name: Burton Method

  • Pros:  ultra thin and lightweight,
  • Cons:  way too expensive,

Experience:   saw this board at a northstar demo and had to try it. this board is basically everything the vapor is but thinner. super fast, light, responsive and it might actually be slightly stiffer. not a bad ride overall. too bad its so expensive.
