"Nothing can ruin a great day of riding quite like cotton. You see, cotton soaks up your sweat and then freezes solid. Luckily, the Burton Midweight Pant is made with DRYRIDE Ultrawick™ fabric which is scientifically engineered to pull heat-robbing sweat away from your skin and propel it out through your layers. You stay dry, warm, and stoked all day, and since its midweight you get a versatile level of warmth that works all season. If all that isn’t enough, the Midweight Pant comes stocked with an arsenal of added features including four-way stretch for mobility, stink-proofing for an enjoyable car ride home, and chafe-free seams and waistband for next-to-skin nirvana."

"Perfect for those colder pow days" 6/15/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Mid Layer First Layer Pants Men's
  • Pros:  Light weight, Very warm, Very comfortable
  • Cons:  None,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  The fit is true to size

Experience:   I bought these right before several large storms at our local resort and I'm glad I did. These are a mid weight base layer and kept me warm and dry during some pretty heavy snow fall with very cold temps. I'm 6'-1 180 lbs and a large fit me perfect. They are very comfortable, not too tight, and are high quality. They would be too hot to wear on a spring day session, but just right during those colder days or during a storm.

"Good base layer" 2/24/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Mid Layer First Layer Pants Men's
  • Pros:  Quick dry, Warm, Light
  • Cons:  Inseam stitching,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Just right

Experience:   I bought this base layer and it's been great for the price I paid. It's kept me warm and dry when I'm riding. Maybe this is just me, but I find that sometimes the inseam stitching makes things a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, it's good for the price.

"Good thermal" 2/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Mid Layer First Layer Pants Men's
  • Pros:  Stays warm,

Experience:   I bought these a couple of months ago and used them for the first time today. They did the job well and kept me warm all day. They are pretty thin but still managed to keep my legs warm. I usually wear L and the L was a little large but I was still able to wear it. Definitely recommended.

"Excellent Base Layer" 1/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Mid Layer First Layer Pants Men's
  • Pros:  Warm, Comfortable,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  Perfect fit

Experience:   Saw a pair of these on sale, so I thought I might as well get them for my upcoming Canada trip. Wasn't expecting much from it because it was such a deep discount, so I thought something was wrong. These ended up being super warm and comfortable, perfect base layer. It was rough or itchy like some base layers, just perfect!

"Base Layer That Does The Trick" 12/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Mid Layer First Layer Pants Men's
  • Pros:  Great Fabric Fell & Performance, Keep You Warm & Dry,
  • Cons:  they are not Shants :-),
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Perfect Fir For Me (5' 10 175 -180 pounds [depending how many Ska Brewery beers i've had])

Experience:   Great pair of base layer pants that work the magic of what a base layer should be. Great fabric feel, weight & performance that will keep you warm & dry all day on the hill. The only drawback to these pants is that they are not shants. (see my review of burton shants to read about the awesome-ness of shants)
