"Really uncomfortable" 7/17/2009
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Mint Snowboard Boots
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Durable, Traction, Warm, Waterproofing, Easy in & out, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Uncomfortable
  • Fit:  average

Experience:   Althought it is easy to get in and out of these shoes and tighten them I've found them really uncomfortable after about 1/2 an hour or so on the mountain. They made my feet numb so i had to losen them but then I got a considerable amount of heel lift... Not good. I hope this is just because I'm not used to the boots and they will get better otherwise I wouldn't recommend these boots (even for a beginner) as they are so uncomfortable.

"didn't buy after trying them on" 10/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Mint Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  low cost, warm, Burton name
  • Cons:  not as comfortable as the Emerald, no BOA lacing, not as flexible as desired
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  6.5
  • Boot Size:  6.5

Experience:   Boots should ALWAYS be tried on before purchase because everyone's feet are slightly different. A friend had recommended these as entry level boots but they seemed to pinch the front of my foot and let my heel move. As I walked, the laces quickly loosened, which clearly will not work well on the mountain!

"Good boots" 9/2/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Mint Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Good entry level boot, Accesible,
  • Cons:  Like all burton boots they are consumer like,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  7
  • Boot Size:  7.5

Experience:   Good value boot for a beginner. The speed lace system is a breeze for me especially and then my gal (she can lace it quickly by herself without bugging me). Overall they are good boots for a beginner-intermediate.I don't expect them to last more then 2 seasons. Great price from sierra as usual.

"Stiff and comes up high :(" 7/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Mint Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  laces?,
  • Cons:  comes up high (heel lift), stiff, tight around feet
  • Fit:  soft
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  6.5
  • Boot Size:  6.5

Experience:   I purchased this for my gf last year and she absolutely hated them. She was in pain most the time and it was mainly due to the tight fitting around the foot! If you are a size 6 US foot, go for a 6.5US for Burton boots. She got cramps after just 30 mins of riding and got heel lift all day long. This is particularly worse when you are a beginner. She recently bought some new Ride boots and she finds them much more comfortable. Don't go for Burton boots if you don't know what you're getting yourself into. Well at least for womens anyway

"Good price & quality" 6/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Mint Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  lacing system, burton quality, looks
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  39
  • Boot Size:  39

Experience:   My girl has used the burton mint on 3 snowtrips and she loves them. Before she owned a pair of boots with normal laces before which ment that at the beginning of the day getting in her shoes was always a nightmare. So the lacing system of the mint is the thing what she really likes. Also the boots look good, are of good quality and they do offer her more support (stiffer) than the pair of 'airwalks' she owned before.

"Uncomfy" 5/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Mint Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Dry, Nice leather,
  • Cons:  loose around the ankles,
  • Fit:  stiff
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  6.5
  • Boot Size:  5.5

Experience:   I borrowed these boots from a friend just to try them. At first I thought they were going to be great because they´re Burton´s but then while riding I realised that my ankles would move inside the boot and I had to tighten up the speed lacing about ten times during the day. I wish I had tried the 6 or 5.5 instead of 6.5

"for my gf" 5/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Mint Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  look good, warm, cheap,
  • Cons:  inner liner sucks, not the most confortable,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  9
  • Boot Size:  9

Experience:   my gf bought these boots this year on clearance from last year. she bought her normal size, a 9, and they packed out even though she thought they were a little bit originally. she gets cold REALLY easily, but has never complained of cold feet with these boots, so i guess they are doing their main job. she likes the color (white and pink) and they are comfy, but she doesnt like the inner liner and the cords that cinch it up never stay tight. the plastic thing that cinches the cords up to keep the liner tight is a piece of junk. other than that, she loves the boots, especially for the price, they stay tight on her feet, keep them warm, and look hottttt (obviously the most important thing for girl boarders)

  • Name: Burton Mint Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Quick and easy to get into!, Sturdy,
  • Cons:  Uncomfortable,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  7 1/2
  • Boot Size:  7 1/2

Experience:   Would ride for hours and my heel would sometimes slip every now and then. I love the fact that they are easy to get into. And as far as the lacing system, it works out well for me. But after a couple runs I would feel the need to loosen them cause they would get a bit uncomfortable. But overall for the price your paying it's not a bad deal!

Experience:   so i got this boots for my girlfriend and it was more comfy than the one that she previously had. but the lacing system is pretty bad so its hard to get her boots tightened securely above her ankle. i would recommend this to a beginner, but not for anyone over that beginner hump.

"Okay boot. Not a big fan." 4/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Mint Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Speed Zone Lacing, Warm,
  • Cons:  Loose, Heel Lift,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  6 / 6.5
  • Boot Size:  6.5

Experience:   I bought these boots on the recommendation of a store associate. The fit is fine, but I can't get the laces tight enough. (Could be a user issue, not a boot issue.) Because of the loose laces, I end up with a lot of heel lift. It's a hassle to be constantly tightening the laces. The nice thing about them is that they have the speed zone lacing system, so it's pretty easy to lace up. All in all, I think it could be an okay boot, but it's just not the right one for me.
