The Burton P1 truly is a special binding. The unorthodox flex patterns between the base tray and highback come together nicely to produce an original and super effective snowboard binding. One of our favorites here at Sierra, the P1 is a deadly force anywhere on the mountain and can be sported by just about any level of rider.

Burton Says:
Like a Lambo with a leather sofa for seats.
With the latest ultra-light hi-back, and crazier wall-to-wall padding, we done changed the game with the new P1.1. Targeting shred-I?s like Mikkel Bang and Keegan Valaika who look for premium comfort in a softer flexing chassis, the P1.1 kills it from backcountry wedges to junkyard jibs. What really sets this baby apart is the unique two-part baseplate. Underfoot the flex is super soft and buttery; while the outer spar is more responsive for added edge-to-edge bark.

"High quality binding for Freerides" 7/26/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton P1
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Easy in & out, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   IF you are doing mostly free riding, these are great bindings. If you're trying to get backcountry or some other gnarly terrain, get something with a stiffer response like a C60 or Cartel. For what I paid and what they do, you can't go wrong as a beginner or intermediate rider.

"soft and cushy--good for the park guy or newb..." 5/23/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton P1
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   After reading some good reviews and seeing my friends rave, I picked these up last season. Rode them 3 times and realized it was not a good fit for me. Pros- Easy to install ---had nice straps..Comfortable, probably good for a park guy or mellow rider. Cons--Limited response, I thought they were slow edge to edge, this pair had the old highback and FLAD...not a good combo---I ride Burton bindings, but these are WAY overpriced for what you get. If you're an aggressive big mountain rider- go with CO2's or Cartel.....

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton P1
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Well known brand, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   These bindings are the best. I have them on my 157 sierra crew and couldn't be happier. So far I haven't noticed any cons with the bindings and they feel awesome. They're not as stiff as the cartels but for around the same price, you're paying more for comfort. Don't sleep...GET THESE!
