Sierra Says: The Poacher is a soft-flexing freestyle boot that will compliment any jib board. Don't be confused by its slipper-like fit, this boot is built tough as nails. The Poacher has everything you need and nothing you don't to take to the streets and terrain park.

Burton Says: Recognized that the pioneer himself, Trevor Andrew, rocks the Poacher. And for good reason. Low-pro, soft, and just beggin'to be bones out- these kicks inject park function with a heavy dose of sneaker head styling. Not that looks matter, but dang, look at 'em, they're insane. Affordable, too. Why not buy both colorways and fully geek out with the mix-matched kit.

"Great Comfy Boots" 2/22/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher
  • Pros:  Very Comfy, Nice Lacing System,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  7.5
  • Boot Size:  8

Experience:   I bought this boot about a year ago. Upon first impression they are very cool looking as they have a new school skateboarding shoe look. The thing that i love the most about the boot is the comfort factor. They are a softer boot more subjected to park riding but i use them on every part of the mountain. These boots are also great for snowkiting as they are a little softer and easier to move around in. I would recomend this boot to a beginer looking for comfort on an all mountain aspect or to a more advanced rider like myself. I enjoy carving up groomers but if you take these into the park they will perform incredibly well. Great all around boot.

"Great Fit, " 2/5/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher
  • Pros:  Fit large ankles, Warm, Binds Well
  • Cons:  A little heavy,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  11.0
  • Boot Size:  11.0

Experience:   For the good, the boot does exactly what it's supposed to: Be warm, fit comfortably, hold your foot in your binding, and support you ankles. The only thing I find as a minor issue is they're a tad bit heavy compared to some of my older boots but its not necessary to wear more than one pair of socks with these boots. Definitely happy with the purchase!

  • Name: Burton Poacher
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Inexpensive,
  • Cons:  Kind of bulky,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  13
  • Boot Size:  13

Experience:   These boots are great for beginners because fo the price and the fit. They are a little bulky, I had to adjust my bindings to fit around them. Other than that they are an inexpensive solution for people on a budget.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (307) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher
  • Pros:  Cheap,
  • Cons:  Squishy Soft, No Footbed liner, hard as hell to get tight
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  12
  • Boot Size:  13

Experience:   these boots are pretty much get what you pay for. theyre decent, keep the foot warm, and look decent, but they are hard as hell to tighten up on the top half. from the ankle up theyre so soft you sometimes worry when trying a toeside turn if youre going to flip over if you really try to hammmer the turn. good, low priced boot for someone just starting out, but you may outgrow them rather quickly

Experience:   I love my burton poachers, they dry fast when wet, form to your foot, are good for all mountain riding. They fit snug only complaint is they are not boa laces so they take a little longer to get on...

"Super Comfortable!" 1/1/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher
  • Pros:  Comfort, minimum heel lift, design
  • Cons:  none,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  10.5
  • Boot Size:  10.5

Experience:   What first interested me was the design of the boot, it was very appealing. After trying a couple of other boots, I noticed that they're is actually a wide variety of fitments depending on each persons feet size. These fit very snuggly and had no heel lift when I tied it down. The boots flex was firm as well and didnt hurt my chins as much as some other boots. Overall a good boot and fair price if your on a budget.

"Soft and Cheap" 12/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher
  • Pros:  cheap, soft, comfy
  • Cons:  hard to get on,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  10
  • Boot Size:  10

Experience:   You will not find a better boot for this price. Very comfortable and great looking as well. One issue is that the boot is super soft, which is fine for park riding but it is really hard to cinch the top part of the boot tight in order to get more support out of the boot. The boot felt a little tight at first but packed out within 10 days of riding and now fits true to size.
