"Great Pants" 12/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher Snowboard Pant
  • Pros:  stay dry, look great, comfortable
  • Cons:  baggy,
  • Pant Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Slightly baggy

Experience:   I got these pants last week for Christmas. My first impression was that they were sort of baggy(they have adjustments inside and they are fine length wise). But they are comfortable and look amazing. They do there job just fine and keep you looking stylish. I have no real complaints and would recommend them to any snowboarder looking for nice pants.

"Gets Work Done" 12/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher Snowboard Pant
  • Pros:  Zip up pockets, Mesh Vents on the Inside Legs, Adjustable waistband
  • Cons:  ...not many, not insulated (who cares? wear long john's), only one cargo pocket (who cares...)
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Loose, just like any snowboard pant

Experience:   Awesome pant, warm, very water resistant. Sizing - if your in-between sizes def go with the down size. I wear a medium normally. My waist is about a 30 and the Med is loose around me. But i think a small would be too short in the legs. Nice zip up pockets and the insides of the pockets are nice and fuzzy and warm:) Pretty durable so far, I've hit my knees on the ice in my back yard I don't know how many times. I thought they ripped but nothing, not a scratch. The bottoms of the legs are nice cause they have a stretchy waist band type thing that is wrapped in a rubber/silicone so the snow and water don't get up in your pants and boots which is probably the most over-looked thing but I think its the most helpful. Who wants a bunch of snow on there ankles and feet to freeze them and ruin their day? The cargo pocket has this nice double Velcro goin so your wallet or whatever valuables you have don't slip out or fly out when you eat the snow. There's also an ID pocket in there so when they find your body they can tell who you are:) haha. The normal side pockets also have a little cut out hole to run your ipod headphones thru which is great for hiding your headphone cord if your resort doesn't allow you to listen to music when you ride (this is the case at my local ski resort, it sucks but whatever). Overall I highly recommend this product esp at the unbelievably low price!

"The Poachers" 3/10/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher Snowboard Pant
  • Pros:  feel great, warm, water-proof
  • Cons:  baggy,
  • Pant Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Baggy

Experience:   When I first tried these pants I thought they were too baggy and I did not like the way they looked on me. However, all of those thoughts went away as soon as I tested them out on my board. They give you plenty of room to move and there's nothing stopping you (besides your skills). These pants are great value for money.

"Burton Poachers" 11/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher Snowboard Pant
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Light, Many pockets
  • Cons:  A little baggy, Expensive,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  They fit just right, but they are a little baggy

Experience:   These pants are amazing!!! They size fits perfectly and its very light. The material feels really good and durable and there are many pockets all around the the pair of pants. The only thing that is an issue is that they are a little baggy, but then again I am a little short so its probably only an issue with me. Overall they are a fantastic pair of pants for snowboarding, buts its a little expensive.

"A great buy!" 12/28/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher Snowboard Pant
  • Pros:  Team Fit, Fleece Lining, Pants zipper for burton jacket matchup
  • Cons:  Not too many pockets, Thin Material,
  • Pant Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  This line of pants is from burtons TEAM FIT line which means they fit super baggy and long so be prepared for a fit that is 1-2 sizes bigger than you order.

Experience:   Overall this pair of pants is great, thats why I gave it a 4/5 stars. The team fit is really nice if you like baggy loose fitting when you are riding or skiing. They should fit 1 to 2 sizes bigger than normal sizing. So my Large actually feels like an XL or XXL. If you prefer tight fitting, these pants are not for you. As far as the warmth, they are very warm and have a fleece like material inside which on warm days keeps you warm enough with no baselayer. Also there is a zipper around the waist of the pants that is compatible with burton jackets so you can zip them together and have the ultimate snowskirt. As far as the cons, the material is pretty thin, so the bottom of the pants by my ankles, have been wearing out pretty quickly (also because of the bagginess) also there are not too many pockets, just the standard 4, so if you are used to pants that store alot of your accessories, maybe these are not for you. But overall a great deal for these pants, I would buy another pair again, especially if there is a markdown on them.

"decent, but could be more waterproof" 6/21/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher Snowboard Pant
  • Pros:  look good, cheap, pockets
  • Cons:  not very waterproof,
  • Pant Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  XL
  • Fits Like:  XXL
  • Description:  baggy

Experience:   I wore these for the full season, and they did their job pretty well. I was a bit disappointed by the waterproofing (but at 5kmm, i probably should have expected it) on wet days, but otherwise, i got them on clearance, so they were a good deal. If you sit in the snow much, I think 5kmm is just too low, and you'll feel wetness seep through after a couple minutes of just sitting on snow. I normally wear an xl and it's perfect, but these were quite baggy, and i needed a belt to even keep them up. definitely loved being able to zip the pants directly into the jacket though (also a burton poacher), which is more effective than any powder skirt i've ever experienced. it wa a bit tougher to do with these pants because they ran big, so the zipper bunched up in a few spots, and i had to straight it out to get the zipper to slide past.
