Our mens and womens outerwear comes in three distinct fits all tailored around the movements of riding for total protection from wind, wet, and wacky style.
Sig FitOur tried-and-true fit built with room for layering, without being overly baggy. Jacket sleeves designed with a bit of extra length to fit over your gloves and keep snow out when strapping into your bindings
Team FitAt the teams request, these jackets are longer in length than the Burton Sig Fit with two inches added in the body and one inch added in the sleeves.
Slim FitTighter and more tailored when compared to the Burton Sig Fit. Pants feature a shorter rise and narrower waist, hip, and thigh area, with enough room in the cuffs to accommodate your boots

"Cool jacket" 4/6/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher
  • Pros:  Style , Burton Jacket feature package,
  • Jacket Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Room for layering

Experience:   I wanted a jacket for drier days to compliment my heavy analog jacket. I wasn't disappointed with this purchase. It kept me warm and relatively dry. Loved the design on the jacket and the ability zip my jacket onto my pants to keep the snow out. I got it at a good price and I'm glad I picked it up.

"Burton Poacher" 1/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher
  • Pros:  Waterproof, can layer underneath, breathable, zip to pant interface cool, armpit vents keep you cool, snow skirt works great
  • Cons:  runs a little big,
  • Jacket Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  XL
  • Fits Like:  XXL
  • Description:  A little baggy but i like it.

Experience:   I normally wear a xl but this feels more like a xxl, but still looks great. Colorway is sick. If you have burton pants you can zip the jacket to the pants so no snow goes up your back. Its nice and waterproof yet breathable, however, plan on layering up with this one because it is pretty much just a shell.

"Superb!" 7/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher
  • Pros:  A lot of pockets, warm, maneuverability, nice hood,
  • Jacket Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  This jacket was a little bit too big

Experience:   I really like this jacket, I bought one size too big because they were out of large, but I couldn't pass up the sweet deal Sierra dished out. So that said it is just a little too big, but I think it works nicely. I am an intermediate all mountain rider so it suits my needs. I like the hood design because it allows you to keep your head warm but doesn't limit visibility.

"Turtle Power!" 6/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher
  • Pros:  POCKETS POCKETS POCKETS!, Long Sleeves, Warmish
  • Cons:  White gets lost in the banks, Hood is a little suffocating, No Liner
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  It fit a little small, like it was a slim fit but it just keeps you from looking like a marshmellow.

Experience:   This shell is awesome! it has super long sleeves but no so ling incase you want to actually use your hands. Pockets are everywhere and you will struggle to find things to put in all of them. The only downsides are that it didnt come with a liner which would have made this perfect, the hood cuts off any type of vision you hope to have. Also if you get the white and wear it into some backcountry and hit a drift, you may just disappear.

"Warm, great feel, looks nice" 6/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher
  • Pros:  Double Insulation, Numerous Pockets, Great Feel
  • Jacket Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  It looks huge at first, but it feels great

Experience:   I got this jacket in the beginning of past season, and it was my best buy for the year. I used it for snowboarding and for shoveling snow, and it was a great feel and I never had any feeling of coldness. The double insulation helps a ton, and it feels like Im wearing a blanket around me when I put it on. When I first got it, I thought it was way too big, but them realized that it was a perfect fit. The pockets are another plus to this jacket-- they're never ending. And the clear pocket at the bottom for a lift ticket is great, for I lost my tie that held it to the zipper, but was soon saved by this great jacket. Buy It, you wont regret it! If mine ever gets too small, I will be getting another version of this jacket!

"Poacher 2009" 5/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Poacher
  • Pros:  warm, many pockets, waist gaiter with burton pants
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  fits just right

Experience:   I have a poacher pants as well so I could make use of jacket to pants waist gaiter and it works really well. It kept the snow out! :) One thing I ddin't like about this jacket is the mp3 pocket. I have an iPhone and the mp3 pocket was too small for my iphone. (iphone goes in there but can't close). It's for smaller mp3 players for sure. Other than that it's an awesome jacket for its price.
