"great stuff" 3/12/2011
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (3) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  light, easy to fit,
  • Cons:  1 pressure point,
  • Fit:  soft
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  8
  • Boot Size:  7.5

Experience:   just got these boot and used them once. obviously really easy to put on due to the speed lacing. 1st impression was that it was extremely light compared to my old hammer boots. The only probably l had with it is that i have a pressure point on my leading foots pinky, only get it during the lift up. l think it has something to do with holding the board with only 1 foot. if someone can shed light that would be nice. nice quality liner, felt really soft and warm. would highly recommend. if you can't afford these, then moto is alot similar but softer according to review and my good friend

Comments & Questions

ShredThePeak
I think the reason for the pressure on the pinky toe is because of the way that you hold the board. I put my back foot under the heelcup of the binding for more support and the pressure on my lead foot/leg. I would not recommend putting the back foot under the entire board because the edges can fray the seams and rip up your boot. <-- I learned that the hard way :(

"Burton Ruler Boots" 5/1/2012
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  Easy lace system, Comfortable, durable
  • Cons:  i had white and it got dirty fast.,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  11
  • Boot Size:  11.5

Experience:   I am currently using these boots as of right now and these are comfortable and durable. The easy lace system is a plus because all you need to do is pull and put them in the teeth. The only thing I have to say is that watch where you step, if you have the white color way. Once you get dirt or dirty water on them. It is very hard to get off.

"2011 Burton Ruler = Great Boot!!!" 10/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  270 air bag, speed lacing- stays tight, Great heel hold
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  9
  • Boot Size:  9.5

Experience:   Just picke up the restricted version of this boot and its great. It looks great and you can tell that it is a good quality boot. The 270 airbag helps reduce the pain in your knees and feet when you land too flat. The speed zone lacing system is great its very easy to tighten and loosen the boots. They rarely come loose and if they do it takes 2 seconds to fix.

"The one Boot to Rule Them All" 3/2/2011
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  Snug Tight Fitting, Easy lacing,
  • Cons:  Looks like big sneakers?,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  11
  • Boot Size:  12.5

Experience:   This boot is very well made. The lace system is near impossible to do wrong with essentially three motions and your laced up. removing is a snap as well with the same motions in reverse. adjusting on the fly is sometimes a necessary situation on the hill and the Ruler passes with flying colors.

"Great boot" 12/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  Lace system is sweet, Light, Warm
  • Cons:  none,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  11.5
  • Boot Size:  11

Experience:   Love these boots and I'm really critical. I was suspect of the lacing system. But, they are the greatest thing ever. Perfect boot for all mountain riding. But them a half size small as the leather breaks in(recommended by my local Burton rep).

"Best bang for the buck!" 10/29/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  Super comfy, Really fast lacing up, Perfect amount of response and stiffness
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  9
  • Boot Size:  8.5

Experience:   Bought these boots last season and decided to finally come and write my review. In total i have about 15 days on these boots. They were a world apart from my motos(worst boots ever?!) Where i kept getting foot pain in my motos, the rulers were super comfy. Mind you that i bought the exact same size from my motos to the rulers. First time i put these boots on, i just knew they were perfect. The amount of cushioning your foot get is amazing. One of the other benefits of the rulers is the price. Not too overly expensive, plus you get what you pay for. No need to look into higher end boots, when you got everything you need right here. Get the rulers and get back to what really matters and go shred some pow

"lightweight comfy boot" 10/11/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (3) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  Lightweight, Lacing system, comfy
  • Cons:  weak laces. ,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  7.5-8
  • Boot Size:  8.5

Experience:   just got these in the mail, so of course i had to lace them on, strap up and hop around in my living room. wow...these boots are LIGHT!! probably half the weight of my old burton's from about 8 years ago. the lacing system is great, the boot is comfy, and surprisingly the unlacing is also super easy. I do foresee the thin laces ripping sooner than my last boots (from holding the board with my boot on the lift). but i am very excited to put these to the test.

"The Only Boot" 4/26/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  Good price, Works for all types of boarding, Durable
  • Cons:  Reduced footprint fits small with bindings,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  11
  • Boot Size:  11

Experience:   I bought the Burton Ruler about 5 years ago after getting frustrated with how uncomfortable my 32's were. This year it was time to get a new pair of boots so I purchased the Burton Ion, because of the praise they've received for being such a great boot. I really disliked the Ion, and had to get the 2011 Burton Ruler, to see if it was still as good as I remembered. Sure enough, this years Ruler is still as awesome as it was 5 years ago. Very versatile boot with just the right amount of support and flex to keep you stable at high speeds, and allow you to really press a butter. The only issue I had with this boot was the reduced profile. It seemed to fit small in my 2010 Burton Cartel bindings. I had to adjust the straps as tight as they would go in order to properly lock in. However, I did manage to get a comfortable binding setting and I wouldn't take a star rating away because of it. Get this boot.

"Dancing Shoes" 3/31/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  Speedy lacing, Tight comfortable fit, Undaunted Style
  • Cons:  Narrow boot,
  • Fit:  soft
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  12
  • Boot Size:  10

Experience:   Sick boots for all your footwear needs. The speed lacing system is clutch for when you want to lounge around the cabin then jump right back out there without a hitch. I have a pretty narrow foot, and the boots fit like a glove for me.

"Burton Ruler - Favorite Boot Ever" 3/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  Light, but supportive, comfy, speedzone lacing kills it
  • Cons:  havent really found one yet,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  10
  • Boot Size:  10

Experience:   I have been riding Burtons Ruler boot for about four years now, the 2011 model is the second pair i've owned and I have yet to try on a boot that feels better right out of the box. I switched to the Ruler initially for the SpeedZone lacing system and I dont intend on switching back to classic laces. I can be in and out of my boot in half the time it would take to lace up traditional laces and the ripcord that Burton uses is super tough. My last pair of Rulers got tossed due to stink and not performance, trust me I tried everything I could like of or look up to save those boots. Once I looked into the new model I was stocked to see the 270 air cushioned heel bed as well as the smaller footprint. It's not named Ruler for sh*ts n giggles boys and girls, this boot is here to stay!
