Sierra Says:
The most tech'd snowboard boots in the universe... and at $450 they better be! Armed with Burton patented articulating cuff and the all-new, extra exclusive Burton Imprint 5 liner, these bad boys give an ultra high-end ride for the millionaires among us.

Burton Says:
For the SL-10 we brought together the best of the best in boot technology [or invented it if we had to] to bring you a connection light years ahead in fit, form and function. The secret weapon of all-terrain prodigies like Nicolas Muller, the SL-10 brings riders of all styles and abilities one step closer to snowboard perfection. Consider the line between mind and machine erased.

  • Name: Burton SL-10
  • Pros:  Light Weight, Comfortable, Responsive, Great looking, Quick in and out, Easy Lacing, Added padding for heels and toes
  • Cons:  Expensive, Logo on the back comes off easily,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  10
  • Boot Size:  11

Experience:   I bought these boots after having the 2008 Forum Kicker SLR and let me tell you, these are the best, most comfortable boots Ive ever had. They were stiff but thats because they are still in the break in period. Compared to other boots Ive worn, Ive also had a pair of DC Phase boots, these things are marvelous. The added support on the heels and toes of the boot make it extremely responsive and they dont put a lot of pressure on your toes to toeside. Nothing really negative to say about them; although the burton logo on the back started to come on so I had to epoxy it back on. They look great, feel great, and perform great.

  • Name: Burton SL-10
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Waterproofing, Easy in & out, Well known brand, Popular model
  • Fit:  narrow

Experience:   I've used a ton of boots in my day, the SL- series (I've used the SL-9 and SL-10s) are one of the top performers for sure! They are lightweight, and just the right amount of stiffness to handle highspeed carving, yet soft enough to be comfortable and responsive in the park. Above and beyond the performance aspect, these boots, once broken in, will be more comfortable than your down-filled slippers guaranteed! I was clocking around 250-270 full days on snow as a coach and running a ski school, I never needed to take the boots off due to sore feet. The only downside to this boot, and any Burton boots with the speed lacing is that the laces cannot handle 250 snow-days per year, i've broken way too many laces, however Burton's warranty program is really great, I've gotten new laces overnight from them. This is an expensive boot, but if you are really hardcore and ride 200 + days per year, its a good investment, I'd pay $2 per day for a mega comfy boot that shreds like a ferrari would!

  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Easy lacing, Durable, Good quality, Warm, Waterproofing, Easy in & out, Well known brand
  • Fit:  average

Experience:   i love these boots... The ones i originally ordered were too small... I usually wear a 11.5 in burton boots, but i needed a 12 in these so beware... other than that they are very comfortable, give plenty of flex and are super cushy... speed zone laces are starting to frey though
