The 2009 SLX is the most advanced boot in snowboarding. It is comfortable, supportive, responsive, and durable pretty much everything you could possibly want in a boot. The Imprint 5 liner is loaded with first-rate technology including the ability to mold to your foot like a sock. Plus, the SLX is equipped with the NEW SpeedZone Lacing System which is twice as strong as last year and easier to use as well. • Cons:  yuppy heating,

Experience:   so i just purchased this boot from sierra as always good shipping and with no snowfall this year so far I'm writing this more as a first impression.. so as far a sizing goes its the same as my Burton hails but easily 10x more comfortabe... the cap strap seems the integrate really well with the toe on the boot as there is a space just big enough for the upper part of the ultra cap strap... the boots also seem to distribute the pressure from the straps well also...there easy to walk in... i like the speed lace system it seems strong and offers 2 aeras of adjustment i have kinda tall feet so i like to run the bottom of my boots a bit looser.. theres 2 things that im on the fence about this boot is the price and the heating pack theses things are no joke they cost 250 and they were on sale for me money isnt too big of a option and i can splurge when it comes to some stuff but seriously 500 new and they dont come with the heating pack...further you dont even get the pack with it i think if your going to offer something that has the newest greatest thing then it should be included with the item... how fun is it to see the phrase some assembly required...but even then i dont know how i feel im pretty sure id get made fun of by my friends if they knew i had heated boots ill write a follow up review after ive used them afew times out

  • Pros:  Heel hold, Comfortable, Easy lacing, Durable, Traction, Good quality, Waterproofing
  • Cons:  Not warm
  • Fit:  heel is snug

Experience:   I've ridden these pretty much all over the place from groomers to deep stuff to rails and they have done very well in nearly every aspect. For a medium-flexing boot they give bags of response and plenty of support for nailing bigger landings yet they're comfortable enough to leave on if you want to go and get pissed straight afterwards. They look and feel pretty durable which is an issue with lots of boots I've had, and the speedzone system appears a little sturdier than the similar Nitro TLS system on my Teams. The one i would bitch about about is that my feet get very cold and my toes go numb more often than usual. I had the same problem with the Salomon F-series which are also low profile or shrinkage or whatever so I guess less insulation is the price you pay for a smaller footprint (whether you need it or not). I could utilize the heat pack thing which plugs into the liner but to be honest I don't want to shell out that much on top of the boots for a device that will almost certainly ensure all of my friends laugh at me. For all the talk about fit, well, they fit me great but then I went and tried them on. If your going to pay that much for a boot its probably wise to go and make sure they fit your specific foot shape first. Killer boots overall.

  • Cons:  Difficult in & out
  • Fit:  average

Experience:   These are great and I think they have a better fit for me than the Ions. Love the lacing but it's still a bitch to get in and out. Still new so they might become easier with a few more days on them. Only time will tell.
