  • Name: Burton Sapphire Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Stylish and cute, Warm, Lots of padding
  • Cons:  Inside ankle padding, Quite stiff when new,
  • Fit:  soft
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  7
  • Boot Size:  6.5

Experience:   This boot is very cute with subtle detailing. When it arrived it was pretty stiff out of the box even though it's rated as having medium flex. It has the option to attach a heater pack, which can be purchased separately but I think the boot is quite warm already due to plenty of padding. The only thing I'm still on the fence about is the two pads inside the boot that are situated on both sides of your ankle. It takes some time getting used to.

"Good gift" 12/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Sapphire Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Comfy, Soft pink fuzzy inside, cute pattern, easy to get on and off, super warm
  • Cons:  Weird ankle cup puts foot to sleep.,
  • Fit:  stiff
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  8
  • Boot Size:  8

Experience:   I purchased these boots for my GF as a gift. She has been happy with them. I got her the white with kinda patchworky look. One issue was that her bindings were bleeding color onto the white parts. This is probably an issue with the bindings but just something to think about before getting white boots. The main issue she had is with the ankle spot. for some reason I have yet to figure out, they make my feet fall asleep. I can’t tell if it’s the “heal/ankle padding” or the general shape, but I’ve figured a way around it anyway. I have to tie them on the more looser side to avoid foot zzz’s. this of course makes my heals pop out of the fit a little when I’m riding. I’ve grown used to it now.

"Super comfy" 11/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Sapphire Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Super comfy, I love laces,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   These are the comfiest boots. I rode a previous Sapphire for a few years and they were the best ever!! Overall a good boot. If you are looking for a comfy, easy to use boot straight off the bat, the Sapphire are a great choice. You won't have sore feet at the end of the day- love all that padding :) I'll probably buy them again this year. For those of you who shred every day, ski bums and instructors etc: I found these boots, unlike my previous Sapphires, blew out quite a bit by the end of the season. Perhaps half a size. Apparently Burton are making their boots a little softer now due to their EST system (which they say a softer flexing boot can handle well) maybe this is why? Cheers.

Woops I was supposed to give that 4 stars. Can a Mod change that for me?
