Likes: Burton is by far one of the most well-known brands in the snow world. From their clothing, boots, boards, ski's, etc... everything they make is quality. I especially like their bindings, the Cartels are by far some of the best bindings I've ever used. You cannot go wrong with a burton product!
Dislikes: Their EST system is a bit annoying as you cannot easily mix/match different brands without adaptors

Likes: I really like this company's way that they seem to always innovate new equipment. Personally I like Burton bindings the best they are really high quality and since Burton has such a quality warranty program I just had to take a picture when my hiback snapped and they sent me a replacement hiback. Burton is THE brand to have. I find myself always going to burton's website first whenever I am looking for new gear.
Dislikes: Burton seems to be moving towards weirder stuff in there designs and color choices.

Likes: They have some some low, medium and high end products that work well on the mountain. They have stayed true to their name and not bein pretenders. Consistently improving their products has been a big thing to me.

Likes: attracts a lot of haters and lovers but ultimately, a brand you can't go wrong with (unless your board and bindings are incompatible...then it's gonna cost extra to fix!). despite being one of the most well knwon brands in snowboarding, they haven't gone to become a "poser" brand by cheapening their products (like what north face and columbia are accused of). burton keeps putting in the latest tech into their newer boards and keeps the market fresh!
Dislikes: not even THAT op'd...just lacks compatibility with all their fancy/patented tech.

Likes: What's else is there to say? Burton is a quality company with great customer service. You will not find a brand that is incorporates more technology into their boards. Their clothing/boots are as good as it gets...very fashionable and great quality!

Likes: really like their bindings, quality products overal. very popular among the noobies as they have the biggest publicity budget and sponsors some of the biggest names. great warranty support. alot of various goods avaliable from them with new technology improvements practically yearly
Dislikes: a tad higher in cost to buy their goods. only 1 yr warranty while some has 2-5yrs on snowboards. their speed lace is easy to break

Likes: Love the boards and love the bindings made by Burton. All the new tech is awesome and the price is usually worth it!
Dislikes: HOWEVER - as too boots I have had NO luck whatsoever!!
Back in 07 and 08 I was getting out 20-30 times a season and these boots were very comfortable. However, that is all they have going for them. The pull cords have to be replaced about every 10 uses because they fray and then snap. The cords are under warranty but it is a pain to have to keep bringing them in to the store. The boots are not water resistant at all.
burton boots definitely loosen up after wearing them a lot (i was getting crazy heel lift towards the end of the season!!) and they let water seep through On a warm day you will have water sloshing up between your toes when carving. I would advise you keep looking for another boot. Burton just isn't worth the cash when it comes to boots!!

Likes: whether your a pro or just starting out, you've heard of burton. They usually get the bad labeling of being such a giant brand but its hard to deny that with that type of marketing power, that don't have something that suits your needs. My first board and bindings were burton and while they were great and all I went a different route and tried to support smaller companies. but anytime i've had to recommend gear to someone, burton has always been in the discussion. They set the standard in which other companies are compared too. I see it as a good thing so that all the other brands can decide if they fall above or below that bar.
Dislikes: none worth mentioning.

Likes: Largest snowboard company out there so they put a lot of R& D into their products, thus pushing out great and innovative boards and bindings. They come out with new tech all the time.
Dislikes: All the new tech can be a bit gimichy. Feel like other companies put more into their boots than burton does. Mass marketing of the company kills the little guy. Not such a fan of the outerwear, tends to be a bit short and odd fitting versus other companies I've tried.

Likes: Burton is definitely one of the leaders in the snowboarding industry with many quality products. Burton's innovation in snowboard technology and their vast line of products make it very easy to find the right product that fits your needs. I have owned many pairs of Burton boots, Burton bindings, and several Burton snowboards and their products never seem to disappoint.
Dislikes: Burton products have become increasingly pricey making it less appealing to purchase Burton products. I am also not a huge fan of Burton snowboard graphics as they tend to be flat and unimpressive in most cases.

Likes: Burton is the big-dog of the snowboarding world. Your almost guaranteed that your going to go get what you pay for, regarding the quality. If you spend your money, your going to get some very high quality, reliable, and durable gear. Burton is the leading edge in technology and you know its going to look good.
Dislikes: As mentioned, you get what you pay for... sometimes this means shelling out a little extra dough for the high quality stuff. Which is expected anyways.

Likes: Burton has long been said to produce the highest quality snowboards around and I would completely agree with that. Burton boards are some of the most high tech products around and from my personal experience they are durable and very well made. I feel that Burton has done so much for the snowboarding community, from their learn to ride program to excellent warranty and customer service Burton is an amazing snowboarding company.
Dislikes: Higher end products can be expensive but you easily get what you pay for.

Likes: I have an ICS/EST board-binding combo (G-Twin and Escapade) as well as gloves and pants from them. All quality equipment, never had issues with spontaneous breaking or cheaply made gear. Customer service is great and extremely quick to respond.
Dislikes: Prices are generally a little expensive, but if you aren't one of those people who needs new gear every year, you will get your money out of it.

Likes: Burton does the most R&D out of any company. Good products... I have owned many, many Burton products since I started riding in 87. Boards, boots, bindings, jackets, pants, gloves/ mittens even hats. Anything Burton I have owned has been really good. Never had a problem w/ any of my burton gear.
The designs and style of Burton's products is always good. Great Clothing designs and really nice board graphics every season.
Dislikes: Not too many things to dislike about burton but maybe the higher price for their lower-end products. But, I understand that all their R&D and marketing $ has to come from somewhere....

Likes: I have owned the X8, T6 and SuperModel. I presently own the Super Model X and Malolo. I have ridden the Jeremy Jones at least 15 times (buddy owns it). I have also ridden the Custom X somewhere between 5 and 10 times. I have ridden the Hero around 5 times. And I demoed the Fix, Uninc, Vapor, Method, and maybe some others that I am forgetting. The biggest thing I can say about Burton is do not buy a Burton just for the name. Like all reputable snowboard companies they are going to make boards you like and boards you are not a big fan of. For example I was NOT a fan of the Vapor and it was their most expensive board at the time. To this day my favorite board is the Jeremy Jones which is one of their cheapest boards. Snowboarding is all about preference and the great thing about Burton is that you get a crap load of choices and styles as well. So when it comes to boards don't expect to buy one blindly and love it but if you know what you want you should find something rad in their line. As far as their boots they are top notch. I own a pair of SL7s and they have held up great, are super comfortable, and perform awesome. I have also found their bindings to be really reliable. I have owned 3 pairs of Cartels and have had not a single issue with them other than the toe strap can come loose every long once in awhile but the ease of adjusting that screw makes up for it. I also think their clothing line is very solid if not a little pricey. Classic style, great fit, and very functional.
Dislikes: As far as their gear goes not much to complain about. As my review stated I do not like everything but that would be true of any brand. Overall there is more to dislike gear wise only because they make the most gear imo.

Likes: i really like burton graphics and they always make a solid dvd each year but thats about it for my likes. well their boards are alright
Dislikes: i hate burton's warranty! that 48 hour thing is nice if they actually fix your product. i put out 300 dollars for traids with est and about a month into the season the hiback cracked. i sent them in and called, they said they were being replaced. i was excited until the mail came and the hiback was bright white. it was supposed to be black. so i called them back and they said the black color hiback was 40 bucks. i havent boughten a thing from them since and can't wait to get off my burton hero and get a new board.

Likes: If you have ever snowboarded, you have probably rocked Burton at some point. Maybe you didn't even know it. They also own popular brands like Forum, Foursquare and Anon among others. I know they have recieved a lot of flack for what happened with Sierra Snowboards, but whatever. They have a lot of innovation, the do market the sport world wide, they make a ton of gear. What I do like about them is they make the best boots that I have ever found, their pants are of good quality, gloves are found at every price point, the have a full and well developed line of women's gear that really is for women and just not smaller versions of the mens stuff. Everyone at the very least likes Burton soft goods and they make them at many price points with a wide variety of tech for every imaginable situation. My first pair of Burton Boots I've owned lasted well over 100 days and my Rulers have over 60 days on them and look nearly new and still have great support.
Dislikes: I am completely not a fan of any of their bindings or snowboards. I had a Twin, a Deuce, demo'd a Hero and Dominant and never liked any of them. My Deuce lasted about 30 days and then the board just felt dead. I can't stand the gas pedal feature they put in their bindings. Cartels are the most uncomfortable binding I ever owned. If you are buying boards or bindings, there is better and cheaper brands out there.

Dislikes: Burton gear is usually pretty pricey. Their international pricing is even worse. Their lower end jackets/pants could be a bit more waterproof/breathable for the price.

Their technology is IMO the top of the line in the snowboarding industry. I like all of their stuff. No fine print stuff with this brand. Everything is simple and to the point when dealing with them. I wear burton jackets, pants, helmets, goggles, and bindings, and wouldn't think about switching

Likes: I have been riding Burton boards and wearing mostly just their gear for over 15 years. Growing up in Vermont they were both local and the most innovative and popular. I rode an asym air for many years and have only purchased their boards since then, I have tried and demoed many other companies but Burton has never let me down. Their boards are indestructable and so is their gear. I have pants and a jacket that are over ten years old and I still rock them somtimes because they have never torn or had any problems.
Dislikes: That Sierra and Burton were not able to work out a deal I have heard and are not getting any new products from them. I am a huge fan of this site but I am going to have to look elswhere it seems.

Likes: I have owned a few burton custom (07-10), burton jackets/pants and GorTex glove. The quality is 2nd to none. Even their warranty is pretty good. I ribed one of my gloves, I called about the problem. They were able to send me a new pair after the fact. Its difinitely one of the top brands for a good reason. Will definitely look into more of their products next time
Dislikes: I dont have too many dislike. I have noticed for the year, the company itself as shift certain focus into their products. They arent as good as they used to be, but the product they sell are still good quality.

Likes: I emailed Burton to tell them how much I love their stuff and they sent me some great swag. So here's what I really think: If you buy luggage, get Burton, it is just smart in the design and it is really durable. Worth every penny. Of the dozen or so name brand winter/ski/board coats I have I only actually wear the Burton ones because they are extremely warm, wind proof, water proof, and somehow even a sloppy girl like me can't manage to get them dirty. Their t-shirts are butter soft and don't pill while their socks are easy to get up to your knee but won't budge or sag once they're there. If your decision is Burton versus anything else, go Burton.
Dislikes: I have a couple Burton backpacks and they wear really well and seem to be completely waterproof. My only beef is the laptop bag has wide-set shoulder straps which can be a pain for someone who has a narrow frame (i.e. women and boys age 14 and younger.) That being said, my husband loves the laptop bag and wears it even without a computer in it because it doesn't LOOK like a laptop bag - total bonus.

Likes: Burton is the biggest name in snowboarding no doubt about it. The gear can range from low P.O.S. gear to these high tech, high end gear (i.e. the method). Buying burton is always a solid decision, as long as you keep away from their low end, as those tend to be not as good and/or durable. I do like how burton has something for anyone, from the quiet and calm to the loud and colorful. I can also vouch for their W48 warranty program. I have never been more pleased with great customer service and attention. Once again, great brand and i am super sad to see it part ways with sierra (though i am hoping and praying) that by some miracle, they will reach an agreement and continue selling here.
Dislikes: Their gear overall tends to retail more then those of comparable brands/ designs/ technical details. Aside from that, you really can't slam burton.

Likes: I love the quality of the gear. It's one of the most important snowboarding brands out there. Their products are super advanced and innovative. It's a brand that invests in young talented kids to pro riders. They also have a selection of green/recycled products, which is always cool.
Dislikes: They are pricy. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who's just starting because of that.
I don't like the fact that the company sometimes portrays themselves as being better than everybody else. This is not true. There are other brands out there with high end products comparable to Burtons.

Likes: We have found Burton gear (including boards, bindings, boots, jackets and pants) to be top notch. We all have Burton boards that have performed well on many icy New England resorts. The clothes are also very functional and fashionable.
Dislikes: By far the biggest disadvnatge is the high cost of Burton. We have bought much of it at Sierrasnowboard at deep discount which has made the price competitive.

Likes: I have been riding Burton for the last 12 years, i have owned two customs, X 8, and now a Joystick. I have multiple bindings and outerwear products from them as well. I have never had any issues with any of the product and they always seem to be some of the best on the market. I will continue to buy Burton and their affiliates product but probably not as often since they are leaving SS. I would highly recommend the brand to anyone who ask's and love that the owner boards 100 days a year but wish he would get the company back to being for the people and not where it is heading as a control minded do what i say Brand.

Likes: Great quality products all around. The company has been around basically since the beginning, and is made for snowboarders by snowboarders. They bring some of the most advanced boards and products to the market, and never lack in their product line. Overall great company, and I will buy from them in the future.
Dislikes: Nearly everything is expensive. Their new channel design, though it is innovative, seems like over engineering to me. I feel they are trying to monopolize the market, i.e. if you buy one of their products, you will have to buy the rest Burton branded to work with each other. Just my opinion.

Likes: I really like Burton clothing - the design and quality are simply the best on the market. During the years I was addicted to Universe series, then to Ronin but now I believe that AK series suits me best(Gore tex worths it) and curently riding with AK Cyclic jacket and AK Hover pant.
I also like Burton bindings and through the years have been riding with Freestyle, Mission and Cartel - no main issues but buckles and straps can brake after 50-70 days of riding.
I've never found comfy Burton boots(everyone has a unique foot) and prefer other brand.
As for boards I prefer again other company that offers handmade decks built near Canada :)))
Dislikes: 1.I don't like the fact that many people think that if something has Burton logo on it is the greatest product just because of the brand name.
2.I also dislike Burton haters that disregard tons of quality stuff offered by Burton just because think that some "core" companies with 2 months of experience are better and so cool.
3.Sometimes products can be overpriced(but we have Sierra with the best prices).

This year on SS sales got Burton pants and thermal for my wife and they are excellent quality. Then got myself T-shirts, hoody and Jacket. Quality and fit is great.
Overall I reckon it is a good brand and well maintained by the owner. Burton\Analog - good stuff!
Dislikes: SIZING!! this is something I had to find for both of us. Once you are familiar with Analog and Burton cuts and measurements you will be happy with the product.

Likes: From the beginning I have chosen to purchase Burton majority of the time due to good quality control. Burton usually leads in terms of technology advancements and has products to suit the masses. Thanks to SierraSnowbaord's sales, I was able to purchase Burton products a lot cheaper than it costs here in Australia.
Dislikes: It is dissapointing that Burton products and other snowboarding gear costs so much in Australia. Burton also does not honor international warranty or customer support for products purchased internationally.

Likes: I have rocked Burton hard goods for years and have never been dissappointed. They always seem to be on top of the industry, and I think this reflects the effort the put into making better gear. You'll be hard pressed to beat their high end stuff. Usually super stylish too.

Likes: I used to love Burton and have owned many of their products over the last 15 years. The only good things left about this company is that the products are popular. Surely, if you are rocking Burton head to toe, everyone on the mountain will think you spent a lot of cash on your gear.
Dislikes: They no longer make quality, durable products. From what I can tell, Burton is now trying to design and manufacture products that last exactly 1 year. I have never had more Burton gear brake in the first year than this year, and the customer support is basically non-existent.
Burton is now for people who like to have the newest stuff every year, and don't care if it breaks because it would get replaced the next year anyway.
I am happy now, though, because if this wouldn't have happened, I wouldn't have come across Never Summer. I have been riding high end Burton boards since I started (20 years). My most recent is a 2009 vapor. I like the board itself, but build quality is clearly lower than my older boards. The Never Summer board, though, is FAR better than the vapor is every possible way... and it's about half the price.
From now on, I will only buy from companies that take pride in designing and manufacturing quality products.

Likes: Burton has been there from the beginning. Jake Burton is one of the first people on the planet to strap himself onto a single board and shoot down the mountain (after developing the snowboard from a Snurfer). Personally, I like that the largest (pure) snowboarding company in the world is still privately held. Its decisions are made by the ownership. I also enjoy the quality of their gear and think it is worth the extra $40-$80. Frankly, most companies are now selling their boards at a $400-$600 clip.
Burton has maintained an integrated and developmental relationship with the sport of snowboarding. Their products have continued to revolutionize the sport throughout it’s 30+ year history.
As for quality, I have owned Burton products (and many others, I can assure you) for the majority of my snowboarding career. Not once have I experienced a quality issue with their products. Were I to eventually experience a flaw or exception to this, I am comforted in knowing that their warranty is tried and true.
Dislikes: I dislike the way people disrespect a quality brand by saying it isn’t core (usually misconceptions about starting and operating a brand) or it’s too expensive. Believe me, EVERYONE is out there to make money. True, they love the sport too. You have to, in order to be successful. But, if they weren't out to make money, they'd be giving away free snowboards to everyone, in order to subsidize YOUR hobby. If you think there's a brand out there that is a charity, think again. My guess is the only reason people complain about the price, is because they're eager to get the new gear. Otherwise, it wouldn't really be a problem and you would just purchase other gear, right?
Having said that; I am not too fond of Burton’s Sig Fit attire. And, I will second some motions that their low-end bindings (and some boots too) are not typical of the rest of their product line. I am, however, typically a believer of you get what you pay for in most sporting goods. Research and product development is not cheap.

Dislikes: Their top end products are very expensive and from experience it seems like a lot of their lower end products are made poorly. The zipper on a jacket I had broke within a week and a pair of gloves I had were falling apart after just a few months of using them because the stitching was done terribly. Apart from those I have had some quality products from Burton.

When the 2010 stuff comes out though, they will easily have the best or one of the best selections. Their new ICS and EST system is very beneficial to most riders. The stuff is quality made and has a great warranty. They also have been known to be one of the most durable products. Also their boots seem to fit my feet well.

From tuning gear to the gear you tune.
They put tons of money and time into development. Rider input. R&D. Testing.
I have even had a few issues. I broke a cascade and when I call them all they said was mail it in and we'll get you a new one. Broke the top sheet on another one and they said its good structurally so ride it out the rest of the year. Send it in and we'll send you next years board. Great service.

Likes: Burtons just seem to fit whatever style riding I'm into. Whether it's boots, bindings, or boards they always seem to provide a level of quality that I have not found with any other brand, and I have tried a lot of different brands. You'll feel the difference right from the start.
Dislikes: The clothing is a bit pricey, but the boards are well worth it.

Likes: Burton is the juggernaut of the Snowboard Ind. They make everything your heart will ever want. I have owned many pairs of Boots and Bindings from Burton. For the most part they are good. Never any problems with the products.
Dislikes: Very overpriced for a overseas job. Not always the best quailtiy either, your really paying for the name (well logo or Shaun Whites sponsership haha).

Likes: I got last years Custom ICS and EST Cartels, couldn't be happier with them. Going to purchase a Hero or Fix, I want to try out the scoop nose and tail.
Dislikes: They are pricey, but so is Nike, Fender, DW drums, a Corvette, Harley Davidson, you get what you pay for. Other people just hate because other companies are not inovative enough to change what's always been done.

Likes: People keep going on and on about how Burtons corporate, blah blah blah and stuff like that. There is a REASON Burton is so popular! They make quality stuff! I personally own two burton boards, two bindings, and one boot. ALL of which are too my liking. Plus, their gear usually looks super sexy :)
Dislikes: My only complaint about Burton is their 3-d binding holes, but they come with compatible disks and stuff so its not a huge deal.

Likes: Burton's an innovative company that's always raising the bar when it comes to snowboarding, in my opinion. Their gear is usually high quality, and they have some of the best stuff out there. Their warranty program is top notch, which I know from personal experience.
Dislikes: Burton gear can be relatively expensive. Their proprietary tech (eg. 3D hole pattern and ICS/EST) are sometimes incompatible and clash with other brands, forcing you to buy only Burton products or forcing other companies to abide by unnecessary new standards.

Likes: I've got a pair of Gor-Tex gloves and they work fantastically. I love to board/ski when it is as cold as possible (i.e. less people on the slopes) and I used to have to wear minimum 2 pair of gloves. With these, I have yet to have a problem even when the wind chill was -22 degrees last February.
Also, I'm about to try out their warranty program for the first time so I'm hoping that goes well.

I have yet to ride a board that holds an edge at high speeds like a burton snowboard.
They make my all time favorite malolo.
Their Ion boots are the only boot that holds my heel down using their speed lacing system.
The toe cap strap that holds your boot snug.

Likes: Burton, without a doubt, makes the biggest variety of gear. Not only that but Burton also steps up their quality every year, and are the innovaters of snowboarding. They have some of the smoothest riding snowboards ive ridden and they also put a lot of tech into their boards as well. When it comes to boots they always have a comfortable and supportive fit. Without Burton where would snowboarding be today?

Likes: Without a doubt, Burton does not sit on its butt when it comes to improving and innovating. Even though they're the big dog, they do a great job at pouring back into the sport of snowboarding like smaller companies without getting the credit for it.
Dislikes: Burton's tech always continues to flow down to the lower models each year, so it always makes you want to buy the most current year's stuff. It's like Apple's iPod.

Likes: With every company you'll have lovers and haters. Burton does have it's fair share of both. But in my humble opinion I think they have and still do make products that are great in quality. From innovative boards and bindings, comfortable boots, and stylish cloths they do it all. They are also backed by a seriously great customer service team if you have any equipment issues.

WFO base on the high end sticks is blindingly fast and holds wax well.
Top-notch warranty service that will NOT let riders down. They absoutely stand by their products.

Likes: Above the rest, I love Burton Boots. In my opinion they are they best fitting boots out of the box and have a very consistent line. The Bindings are super comfy and lightweight and the boards ride amazingly. Although I do support smaller companies in the industry, I feel Burtons quality, technology, and innovation is hard to beat.

Likes: I’m one of those Burton haters who dislikes them because they’re such a huge company. It’s one of those brands people feel safe buying and presume it’s an amazing product because BURTON made it! ok ok, I do actually like Burton, I’m just rooting for the underdogs! I really love Burton socks, I have 7 pairs now, one for each day of the week :-)
Dislikes: Bindings I have previously owned, and the Burton Troop which I previously owned. its been a while since I've been on a Burton - maybe it would help me become a believer if i tried it out again. but I'm always skeptical. Their high end products are supposedly very good, but lower end... not-so-muuuuuch.

Likes: Burton often gets hated on simply because they're such a large company and have a huge name, but overall I don't have any actual complaints about their product. I own three pair of bindings from them (c60, P1 and Escapade) and couldn't ask for anything more. From everyone that I've heard that's dealt with their warranty program, they've never had a complaint. With the 24 hour turn-around, I'm not sure if you could go wrong!
