"Can't Go Wrong With Burton Superpipe Gloves" 11/27/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Superpipe
  • Pros:  Unrestricting Fit, Warm, Hands Stay Dry
  • Cons:  Not enough room for an underglove,

Experience:   Overall there is not much to complain about these gloves. Though they are slightly more restrictive than standard pipe gloves, they pay off when it comes to the warmth of your hands. The fit is tight enough that you dont have to take them off when counting cash for your lift ticket or tying your boots. My only complaint is they are not warm enough for single digit or sub zero temps. You can try to cram a thin underglove in when its real cold, but it throws off the fit and just doesn't feel right.

"Awesome Gloves" 12/30/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Superpipe
  • Pros:  Gore-Tex Technology, Mobility, Comfortable
  • Cons:  Velcro Strap , Not ideal for extreme cold climate,

Experience:   For Pipe Gloves, they are awesome! I get really good dexterity in my fingers and these gloves are very comfortable. One thing that I don't care for is the velcro strap (I would prefer a zipper instead ie. Dakine Bronco Gloves). If you are considering these gloves keep in mind that they are not ideal for harsh cold climates, they are after all pipe gloves. The Gore-Tex liner in the gloves are great for keeping your hands dry and overall I love these gloves!

"Cool Glove but..." 12/28/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Superpipe
  • Pros:  Warm, Cool Design,
  • Cons:  Fragile,

Experience:   I was sweating these gloves for awhile and telling myself I'd wait for them to go on sale before I bought them, but of course I couldn't wait that long. I dig the gloves... they're warm, stylish and not restrictive. The reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because they stitching near the velcro around the wrist was pretty flimsy and ended up ripping a bit after only my 3rd time wearing them. I'm by no means destructive when it comes to any of my equipment so it surprised me when this happened. It's nothing a little needle and thread couldn't fix but after 3 wears, I shouldn't have to.

"lightweight and just warm enough" 11/24/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Superpipe
  • Pros:  excellent fit, just warm enough for even the coldest days, great dexterity and flexibility
  • Cons:  lack of color combinations, no washable liner,

Experience:   I bought a pair of Burton mittens and although I am happy with them I found that they are too warm except for the coldest of winter days which led me to buy the burton superpipe gloves because they were advertised as a park glove which meant they were lightweight and had less insulation. The good stuff: these are very lightweight and I was able to get them in the plaid pattern which was appealing to a lot of people apparently because it was soon out of stock. They fit very well and the cuffs are just long enough to not let snow in if your jacket gets pulled off. They have great dexterity and flexibility almost like wearing leather golf gloves but with insulation to keep the cold out. Unfortunately they don't come in a lot of color combinations so those who are looking for something to match with their blue jacket and yellow pants will be out of luck. Also there is no washable liner for these so washing them requires that it be done the night before and air dried before use. Overall for the price they are an excellent glove and I no longer use my mittens since I bought these.

"Comfy fit" 3/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Superpipe
  • Pros:  Good fit for big hands,
  • Cons:  Might soak up water,

Experience:   Very comfy glove, doesn't feel like its constraining your hands, but the inside material feels like it might hang on to water which could make it hard to put on. Although they are pretty flexible, so may not have to take them off to clip in.

"Awesome gloves" 3/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Superpipe
  • Pros:  Waterproof - Gore tex, Warm, Low profile
  • Cons:  Hands get cold on 25 degrees or lower / windy days, Gets wet if hands are cold due to inactive goretex, Full price tag

Experience:   Been using these gloves for about 40 days of riding. It is great for the most part. I go really hard on gloves and now there's a tear around the fingers but the gloves are still waterproof. The durability is far better than the Burton Gore-tex Glove, where the palm side grip would tear easily at the seams. While the Burton Gore-tex glove is warmer, these are fine. They do get quite warm for 40 degree weather riding. I would snatch another pair if they're on sale.
