Sierra Says: Riding a T6 down a steep groomed run is like opening up a Ferrari on the Autobahn. This is easily Burton's fastest, most aggressive snowboard and will go toe to toe with the meanest boards on the market. The secret behind the madness lies primarily in the Alumafly Core, which entails an aluminum honeycomb technology to create a lightweight, yet crazy strong feel. The Triax Response fiberglass and deep sidecut provide the quick edge-to-edge control, while the Stainless Steel Pressure Distribution Ed... More ?

"What kind of a title fits a board like this one?" 9/20/2009
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton T-6
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Carving,Groomers,High Speeds,Off Trail,Powder
  • Pros:  Fast, Durable, Light
  • Cons:  None,

Experience:   If you're an Advanced rider who likes to go for anything (Except the park) with a lot of speed and hight, the T6 is a obvious choice! It is invincible at the groomers with the WFO-base and light weight. The honeycomb tech. makes sure of durability. I've done sevral runs over rocks and simular when riding Freeride, but not ONE mark has appeared on my base. The only disadvantage is that you can no longer blame your equipment.

"Questionable Durability" 1/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton T-6
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Carving,Chop,Groomers,High Speeds
  • Pros:  Light, Fast, Stable,
  • Cons:  Broken,

Experience:   I loved this board until the tail bent on me. Didn't even hit anything, I just landed a jump a little far back on the tail and when I got back to the lift, I look down and there is a 14 inch crease where it bent. This was the third day on the board. It's at Burton now for them to determine if they will cover it under warranty. Super fun board, but is it strong enough?

Comments & Questions

SO burton did replace the board under warranty. I sent in the broken one and had a new one in my hands within the week. Great service Burton. I ended up selling the T6 because I had no confidence in the durability of the Alumafly core. I ended up buying a Sierrascope and and UnInc and am really happy with those decks.

  • Pros:  Light, very fast, quick edge to edge

Experience:   (2008)insane pipe board and really stable at high speeds. Ended up breaking the board on a rock that would have snapped most decks, patched it back up and rode until it delamed. Super nice ride while it lasted, would do it again if I had the money!

"Smooth and stable" 10/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton T-6
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Carving,Chop,Crud,Groomers,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Powder
  • Pros:  Holds and edge like I can't believe, Light, Fast
  • Cons:  Questionable durability/build quality,

Experience:   I love this board! It's so fast and smooth, and holds an edge like I couldn't believe. Very little chatter in crud even at high speeds. One downside though, I rode it once and the black part under the foot positions started peeling up. It's only cosmetic, so I didn't care to get it fixed/replaced. But still, for this price I expect better.

"Burton T6" 8/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton T-6
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Carving,Crud,Groomers,High Speeds,Off Trail,Powder
  • Pros:  channel system,
  • Cons:  not twin, not a good freestyle,

Experience:   Firstly, if you’re under the impression that the T6 is light then you’re not mistaken but don’t for a second think that it’s anywhere near as light as it’s pipe slaying counterpart the Vapor, because you’ll be disappointed. The main selling point of the T6 is that it is probably the most stable board you’re ever likely to ride, you can’t ride too fast for this board. The T6’s unbelievable stability is thanks to the dampening pads under the feet, the triax fibreglass weave and alumafly core which means that there is a solid flex throughout the board; torsionally and longitudinally. Due to a fairly narrow waist and long sidecut the T6 was great fun for carving at high and low speeds; the long open carves you can do with this board are effortless and ridiculously stable, swapping from edge to edge is also rapid. In the pipe the T6 is very similar to the Vapor; it holds an edge really well on both the toes and heels and feels unbelievably stable on take-offs and landings. If you’re comfortable riding the walls of a pipe then you’ll find it almost impossible not to get out of the pipe on the T6. If you enjoy riding pipe and have already began spinning then this could be the board that will give you the confidence to go bigger.

Experience:   Personally not the board for me, it did hold an edge great especially at high speeds. Though it felt like the board was going to explode under me.

"Great for speed, bad for beginers" 6/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton T-6
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Chop,High Speeds
  • Pros:  Great for high speeds, very stable, very light
  • Cons:  really poor material quality, hard to gain speed,

Experience:   This board was great for me going on the double diamond trails, plenty of control and stablity. However while on the lower level slopes(green and blue) it was very slow nad harder to control. In addition the black rubber on the top started peeling after only one use.
