"This board +3 steez" 4/14/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton The Hero Ltd
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Fast enough for all mountain, Powder, Learning tricks minus the pain
  • Cons:  Can't handle the chop at speed, Heavy,

Experience:   I'm an East Coaster coming off a Burton Custom '09 and the differences are clear off the bat. This board is just as fast as a Custom on groomers, but you can pop it without a Street Fighter 2 - Guile Flash Kick pre-load. And you can actually flex this thing without A) being a pro or B) straining a groin muscle. This isn't necessarily a noodle, as you can ride this everywhere. But while you're blazing down the groomers and you hit tracked-out/choppy terrain you better be careful. Slow down/pick your line or you're gonna wash out. There's no camber or stiffness to power through the bumpy stuff. That said, if you're considering this as a park/freestyle board PLUS ability to ride powder/some mountain, you're gonna be ecstatic. The reverse camber prevents edge catch, and the spooned out edges saved me countless times on incomplete rotations. It'll bump up your freestyle learning curve because of the combo of those two techs. Progressed from butters to 180s to 3s pretty quick. You know that point where you've learned how to ride fast, pop ollies off those rollers with your old board and you say I think I want a flexier board to learn tricks? This is that board.

  • Name: Burton The Hero Ltd
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  great flex, buttery goodness, awaesome graphic
  • Cons:  nothing,

Experience:   this board is the absolute best one out there. There is no doubt about it. I bought this board from sierra snowboards and have loved it ever since. I use mission ests with this and it's a perfect match. This board is great anywhere on the mountain and excels in park. I would recommend this board to any rider no matter what their ability is.

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton The Hero Ltd
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds
  • Pros:  BUTTERz, Nose/Tail Presses,
  • Cons:  High Spped Wobbles, Top Sheet Scratches ,

Experience:   This board is ideal for flat land tricks, presses and butters. The rocker helps to increase playfulness and butters while the camber helps with turns and speed. Super Soft board with plenty of forgiveness. Top sheet scratched a little easier then some of my other boards, can't em all i say.

  • Name: Burton The Hero Ltd

  • Use:  Groomed,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Super Buttery (compared to what Im used to), Awesome Graphics, Just uber fun
  • Cons:  Seems like the sides dent easily.., Pricey (until sierra came to the rescue!),

Experience:   I love this board comming from my 09 blunt. Its super soft, flexible, Buttery, whatever you call it, its good like that. Really forgiving. Some people say its not stable at high speeds? Define high speeds. Ive never gotten fast enough on this board to feel uncomfortable. LOVE THIS BOARD.

  • Pros:  Very Nice and Flexibile, Has Great Pop, EST sytems
  • Cons:  Had nothing wrong,

Experience:   This board was just amazing in the park it worked really good for jumps rails or anything I wanted to do in the park. The V-rocker design made it reall easy to do the rails. Also the v-Rocker design made it very flexibile and it was good on landing it absorbed some of the hard landings

  • Pros:  soft, poppy, well designed
  • Cons:  ics,

Experience:   i got a chance to demo the hero ltd. and it's a great do-it-all freestyle board. it's soft through the middle to facilitate butters and presses, but it's stiffer on the ends, so you can confidently jib and hit jumps without worrying that this thing will snap in half when you land.
