Sierra says: Protect your deck from the apes at the airport. This board bag is great. You can fit so much stuff in there, make sure to weight it before you get to the airport and the charge you for 3 carry-ons.

"Buena maleta abuen precio" 11/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Gig Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  Precio , Espacio,

"Wheelie gig" 8/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Gig Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  it works....kinda,
  • Cons:  wheels fell off, front pocket not lockable,

Experience:   First time used this was japan trip, as you need to go up and down stairs alot the luggage takes a pounding. The wheels came off, had to get an allen key tool to fix it up. Front pocket can not be locked, so use at your own risk for airplane flight. The top and bottom is tapered, so you cant really fit much into the ends. And to top things off the bottom got cut from board rubbing against it, so now the bottom of the bag is exposed, cant use it again after one use. Never touching Burton luggage again. talked to the rep about warranty for the rip, he told me to get a better bag....i told him ill get a better brand!

"Great bag!" 4/10/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Gig Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  I got the 156 Black Polka Squares bag and I love it. It's padded, roomy and, great for car trips. I was able to fit my board with bindings, boots, and my snow gear all in the bag. It's also great for storing boards in the off seasons.
  • Cons:  I'm unsure about air travel since only the bottom is reinforced to hold the wheels.

Experience:   I don't know how this would hold up when it's against other luggage on an airplane, but I'd rather use a board bag that had hard reinforcement everywhere for air travel.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Gig Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  padded, fits gear,
  • Cons:  wheels,

Experience:   wheels are a bit weak but i don't care much for that anyway the bag is padded and does an excellent job protecting the car from my board. the bag can also accommodate my gear including, boots, gloves, bindings, and goggles so it works out quite nicely.

"Amazing Bag!" 1/16/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Gig Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  Padded Bag, Tons of room, Wheels

Experience:   Used this bag for my trip to Colorado and made my life so much easier. Not only does it have wheels that are sturdy and make carrying the bag through an airport MUCH easier, but it also is very padded and has tons of room. Even with my board and bindings I was still able to pack most of my clothes and gear in the bag (including my helmet) all under 50 lbs, such that the only other bag I had was my carry on. Highly recommend this bag if you are planning on air travel for it will make your life so much easier.

"Great Bag" 12/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Gig Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  Durable, Spacious, Cheap

Experience:   This bag is perfect for me. I own two snowboards and two pairs of bindings. With a little creative thinking I was able to fit both snowboards and bindings in there, as well as two pairs of snowboard pants, two snowboard jackets, and one pair of snowboard boots. The buckle down strap to keep your boards from moving is also a nice feature. My boards are 162 and 159, so I got the 166 and it works great. I know none of my stuff is going to be moving around, and with all the padding in the bag plus all my gear, I know my stuff is safe. You can also put a lock through the zippers which is comforting. The last thing I want is some TSA employee stealing all my gear. There's an outer pocket for anything else you might need to carry as well which I used to carry a jacket. It's not a huge pocket, but big enough to fit a folded up jacket or pair of pants pretty comfortably. Overall, this bag is perfect for anyone who has to fly to their snow destination and can carry up to 2 boards with bindings and some gear.

"Great travel bag" 12/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Gig Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  Lot of padding, Nice wheels, Plenty of room
  • Cons:  Not enough pockets and dividers inside, Lack of compartments,

Experience:   Picked this up to take my board on a flight. Has decent amount of padding, holds my board securely and wheels seem durable. My only issue is that i wish it had more pockets inside and dividers. While there are plenty room inside, the inside doesn't have much dividers or anything. Would be nice if it was divided into compartments for boots etc.

"great bag" 12/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Gig Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  wheels, lots of space,

Experience:   I originally got this bag to protect my board on a bus trip and hoping that one day I would take it on an airplane. It has nice padding so it does protect ur board and the wheels are great for long walks in the airport. It has plenty of room for boots, pants, jacket, gloves, and more (maybe I got lots of space because I got the 166).

"Everything You need in ONe Bag" 11/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Gig Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  Simple design, compact, waterproof,
  • Cons:  fabric feel, not enough pockets,

Experience:   One of the my favorite bag to use for airline travel. It is very compact, and it has wheels for going around. The 156cm bag, once filled will carry everything you will need for a week without worried about it being overweight. The quality is like any other burton gear. One thing I didnt like about it is that it didnt have enough pockets. Other than that, great all around bag. Save yourself the trouble and buy the wheelie version.

"Good bag." 10/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Gig Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  Quality zips, Wheels, Material
  • Cons:  Top zip not lockable, handle average,

Experience:   This is a good bag, strong and inside is true to size as pictured. I got this on sale and am not 100% sure if i would have paid full price though. Zips are killer and skate wheels make it really nice to pull. material is also good. I didn't like the handle however and would have much preffered the carry on luggage style one that comes with the wheelie locker (but we are talking a big price difference). The biggest problem i have with this bag is that the top pocket cannot lock making it slightly risky for overseas travel and basically rendering the pocket useless. If this is not a concern for you then you will probably be more than happy with the bag.
