Sierra says: The Wheelie Sub has so much room in it that you will be able to carry everything with you for weeks. With the comfort cushy telescoping handle it is easy to carry everything with you. The removable laundry bag is awesome for those long road trips.

Burton: Like a walk-in closet with wheels. You can probably fit a few kids in there too.

"wheelie sub" 12/6/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Sub Luggage Bag
  • Pros:  huuuuuuge,
  • Cons:  halfzip feature isn't what it could be,

Experience:   First, the color. I bought the irish green plaid. In the picture, it looks like it's dark green. It is NOT. It's much brighter. Think of a crayola crayon. It's that bright. Anyway, it's a great bag if you need to bring a ton of stuff. This thing is enormous. The downside, though, is that it's a couple inches too big to check in with most airlines. It zips completely in half, which is pretty sweet, but it'd be nice if the dividing material was more durable so I could just zip off the front half and use the back as a smaller piece of luggage. I wouldn't trust the material inside if it were exposed to baggage handlers. So, if you need a HUGE bag, and don't mind paying a few extra bucks to check it at the airport, this is great. One of my favorite features is the zippered flap on the front. It looks like a pocket, but it actually opens up to let you access the entire front level of the bag without having to really open it up. Great for stuff you might need to get to quickly.

"LOST A WHEEL!" 6/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Sub Luggage Bag
  • Pros:  HUGE, Lucky that Burton customer service is good ,
  • Cons:  Make sure your wheel is screwed in tight,

Experience:   First day using it traveling, I don't baby my gear so quality of the build is always important. Hit only one or two curbs of the sidewalk and the wheel fell off. Good thing Burton customer service was helpful and sent me a wheel kit to fix it. Overall good bag, great space, held up well just make sure the wheel is tightly screwed in.

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Sub Luggage Bag
  • Pros:  Lots of Pockets, Skate Wheels and Bearings, Ultra High Quality and Ultra Big
  • Cons:  May be to big for short trips, Easy to go Overweight,

Experience:   This is the finest piece of luggage i have ever seen. It comes with lots of pockets, to divided compartments, a bag for the used clothes, skate wheels and bearings and in great patterns. You can fit clothes for two for a week easily. It's huge. But on the other side, it´s is a little to huge, you might go overweight or oversize.

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Sub Luggage Bag
  • Pros:  Huge with lots of storage,
  • Cons:  Might be too big,

Experience:   I bought this thing thinking it was going to be a tad bit smaller but when it arrived, this thing is HUGE! You could fit 2 weeks worth of everything in here if you really wanted too. It's nice because u can unzip one side and use it as another bag.

"Well made luggage but in no way lightweight" 4/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Sub Luggage Bag
  • Pros:  Well made, Huge capacity,
  • Cons:  The bag alone eats into your luggage allowance,

Experience:   I'd thoroughly recommend this bag although it does eat into your luggage allowance if you are flying. The only problem I've had is that I snapped a buckle on mine but am in the process of getting it warranted so no hassle there.

"Jigungeous Body Bag" 4/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Sub Luggage Bag
  • Pros:  HUGE, Wheels, zips into halves
  • Cons:  HUGE,

Experience:   Ok this thing is so large i wouldn't let my son take it anywhere... When space is the primary consideration don't go for this bag... but if you're looking to pack everything you own into something for a weekend trip this bag is the bomb... just make sure you have room to store it and don't plan on flying anywhere. As much as this weighs you'll be over the 50lb limit in no time at all.

"Huge Burton luggage" 4/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Sub Luggage Bag
  • Pros:  Lots of space, Stretchable liner,

Experience:   I purchased this and used it for a 5 day trip to Tahoe. The size was perfect. I was able to put all my snow gear into one half, and all my clothing/etc., into the other half. Probably not good for short trips, but should work great for longer ones.

"Absolutely Enormous" 4/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Wheelie Sub Luggage Bag
  • Pros:  Huge, Well constructed,
  • Cons:  Well, it's huge,

Experience:   I own several pieces of Burton luggage. I borrowed a friend's bag, and easily went way over on the weight. While you can split the bag, it turned out to be cheaper to just pay the overweight charge (2nd bag was more expensive -- might be cheaper if you have someone else to check as their first bag). I think it's great for the car, I think you could probably pack a months worth of stuff into it. It definitely does not get you thinking about what you should take and what you should leave behind -- you just think Oh, there's room, I'll just take it. It really is enormous, bordering on too big, but I'm usually a light packer. I think it would be great for a car trip (though you might now fit anything else in the car), for the plane, I'm not sure. I think if you fill it full, it's too heavy, and if you can't fill it full, what's the point of getting such a big luggage?
