  • Name: Capita Charlie Slasher
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  this board is easy to ride in powder and groomers, very affordable for a quiver board only $399, Sacto local, Skinner Davis did the artwork.
  • Cons:  none., Buy IT !, NOW ! ! ! !

Experience:   if you like to ride pow, and like to ride it fast, then CAHARLiE is made for you. its very easY to ride. just mount it centered with the inserts (no need to set it back since it has a built in longer reverse cambered nose) and ride it like you would your regular board. it WILL get the job done... just asK jen with 2 n's aka little ol me, aka mrs brody, aka i always forget to wear my coal beanie, aka jen mahoney, aka jen lynch. she'll tell ya !

  • Name: Capita Charlie Slasher
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  High Speeds,Off Trail,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  A Pow Specific board for under $400, Amping Graphics, Has a tail for stomping landing and powering turns

Experience:   Seriously this board is a DREAM COME TRUE. This stick is years in the making and when we built it, it combined all of our favorite powder rides thru the years, along with some new next level magic sprinkle stuff to it. The Rad Air Tanker, Option Northshore, Unity Pintail and Domain, Burton Fish, Rome Notch and CAPiTA Black Snowboard of Death were all part of the inspiration. Not to claim, but they were. So here's the real skinny. In taking on the task of building the ultimate pow shredding weapon, we had this criteria that had to be met: 1. Have a shape that looks like a snowboard, not a penis, surfboard or a piece of fruit. 2. It must float EFFORTLESSLY in POW, while maintaining the ability to throw this bitch switch should we find a cat track into powder that we want to cab into. 3. Absolutely needs a tail to land on and power out of turns with. We didn't build this thing to go to Mike Weigles world powder 8 championships. 4. Be priced under $400. Seriously, this is a quiver board that will be ridden a limited amount of days, so there is NO NEED to spend $600 - $700 on a board that sits and waits for the storm. 5. Have graphics the pump you up not ones that make you feel like playing my little pony. This is a snowboard, not a surfboard or a tree or some pansy ass art painting. When it dumps, you better drink the Red Bull and get ready to haul some ass. Got it???!!! Now click the buy now button.

  • Name: Capita Charlie Slasher

  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Off Trail,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Cheap, Fun ride, Badass graphics
  • Cons:  None that I experienced,

Experience:   Well, Chris did the intro for me, so I'll continue from there. I rode the 164 Slasher last season for one of the better powder days of the year and I'm pretty sure I was smiling from ear to ear the entire time. I own a 158 Malolo, but had left it at home for the weekend. I talked Chris into letting me ride the 64 Charlie so I'd have a pow board for the dump we were about to recieve overnight. Even though 164 is a pretty long board for someone of my size, it was still a complete joy to ride! It had great float in the deeps, yet still rode very well and stable on the groomers back to the lift. Honestly, I didn't want to give Charlie back to Chris, but had to anyway. I don't have him to myself yet, but I will before the season starts. The Malolo is about to share its time, if not lose its spot :) This is a great powder board and worth every penny!

  • Name: Capita Charlie Slasher

  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Destroys anything in his path., Tons of pop for reverse camber., Taper rocks. Graphics rock even harder.
  • Cons:  Not enough snow in MN to satisfy his hunger.,

Experience:   I got this board very late season. I got to ride limited powder/fresh snow with it, but what little I did get was an incredible experience. It's my first tapered, powder-specific board and is a blast to ride. Living in MN and not having much for powder, I ended up riding this a lot on groomers. It was nearly as fun on the corduroy as it is in deep stuff. The taper of the board makes it feel like you're driving a sports car. Super fast edge-to-edge and great for laying down huge euro-carves. I have this board in my quiver as a general all-mountain board with extra benefits. Probably wouldn't recommend this as your main board unless you're lucky enough to ride fresh snow everytime out. However, if you can afford an extra stick and can find one of these, get on it!

  • Name: Capita Charlie Slasher
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  High Speeds,Off Trail,Powder
  • Pros:  affordable, realistic story, pow board for rippers!

Experience:   youre not going to find a better pow board for this retail price. yet again, capita gives you everything you need and nothing you dont.. high quality deck for a lower price. 20mm taper is plenty to push this guy into a dedicated pow deck shape, enough setback to make a difference, but its not so far off that you cant shred it hard. just like johan says in the video from porters.. you get a killer shape (awesome cuts on the nose and tail), rocker on the nose for even more float, and flat to the back.. instead of rockering the tail too, you get some meat back there, and thats no lie. even though youre on a tapered deck and youre set back, you still have a real tail to help stomp landings and slash with some power. pow board for rippers, as i like to say. great medium flex, solid eco friendly core, and burly fiberglass (dont get the idea that just cause its biax glass its soft). also, dont be afraid of the extruded base. if youre riding pow.. no worries about dings! also, theyre easy to fix, and in my experience, capitas extruded bases are as fast as any person would need them to be. if you were looking for a pow board, but are afraid to commit to the $500-600+ prices on a deck you realistically dont use all that often, this is your guy. or even if you DO ride pow all the time, its a rad stick. capita really came through with this, especially being that its their first pow board. pow board for the real riders who just wanna get up and shred, not worry about details, and dont wanna drop a ton of money on a quiver board that you dont ride every single day.
