Sierra Says: We know you?re reading this write-up on the Indoor Survival because it is the most celebrated snowboard from Capita. Why is this? Snowboarding suffers from an obsession of collecting gear and classifying snowboards. The Indoor Survival breaks this trend because it offers something for every type of rider. In short, this is a freestyle snowboard that handles the entire mountain. Learn your tricks in the park, then master them all over your favorite resort, even in the backcountry. Or learn a fun jump in the powder and then master it in the park. Forward or backward, the Indoor is for you.

Capita Says: These durable, responsive freestyle boards have become a customer favorite in the CAPiTA line because they?ve proven to survive what you can give them inside or outside the park. They are our number one selling series in Japan. They have won a Transworld Good Wood award for Freestyle boards over $400. They are the go-to board for a majority of our team riders one of the most successful lines in CAPiTA history, we?re proud to offer these boards in both cambered and reverse camber Flat Kick versions. You pick!

Twin Shape: True Twin snowboards go forward and backward equally.

Freestyle FK: Flat Kick Camber where the base is flat and the tips and tail of your snowboard are Reverse Camber for easy presses and butters.

Flex Rating: 5 is right in the middle to balance butters and blasting off kickers. Reverse Camber boards are always better for flexing than normal camber boards.

Reforestation Certified Sustainable Core: Help the environment without sacrificing performance. It’s official and certified by leading environmental agencies.

Form-6 C Fiberglass Configuration with Carbon Kevlar Reinforcements

Wax Infused Rotation Sintered Speed Base- A fast base that needs little maintenance because wax is infused with ptex or base material.

4x2 Inserts: Standard fit for all your stance locations and accepts every brand binding.

Waist Width
152cm - 243mm
154cm - 247mm
156cm - 251mm
158cm - 253mm

Experience:   This board is just fun. Straight up. Great board for the park, but still a versatile board. Also if you like riding switch at all, awesome board for poppin 180's and slaying it the oppo direction. I'd recommend this board for a 60% park guy and 40% kill it everywhere else on the mountain. Really a lot of fun, you'll only be crying tears of joy if you buy it.

  • Name: Capita Indoor Survival FK Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Stable at speeds, Soft enough to Press, Floats in pow

Experience:   if you want something that rides similar to a horrorscope, but also performs in a wide variety of conditions, this board is it. it is easy to press and jib on due to the flat kick, but its core is stiffer which allows it to hold an edge at higher speeds on a wide range of snow conditions. this is a super good board, and it is priced very nicely!

I was wondering how the Indoor Survival FK performs in powder?

letsgoride
hey i was thinking about the indoor survival w/ burton mission bindings... what do you think?

Dsturs
powder=great. Bindings are all preference. as long as they are not EST bindings, they will work fine!

  • Name: Capita Indoor Survival FK Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  stablility, versatility , just super fun
  • Cons:  topsheet may nick a little easier than other board,

Experience:   Hands down my favorite board to date. The Indoor FK just handles everything well. Living on the east coast I mostly ride groomed runs, and it certainly performs great on them. The twin shape is great for anyone who likes to spin/ride switch down the mountain. With a core a little stiffer than the Capita Horrorscope the Indoor has more all-mountain versatility, while still being a ton of fun in the park. Hard pack sucks to ride in...but it sucks less on this board, ha. As far as powder...I rode in 12-16 inches of fresh powder a couple weeks ago and it was a blast. I set my stance back an inch (2 inches more nose than tail) instead of riding centered and it floated like a dream. On top of all of that, the graphic is, in my opinion, the best in the Capita line for 2011, and looks esp sexy with my cyan Union Forces, if i do say so myself :) I wouldnt really call this a 'con,' but it does seem that the edges of the topsheet chip a little easier than previous boards Ive owned. Certainly not enough to be a real issue, and it could just be circumstantial anyway. Buy and Indoor FK, you wont regret it.

nipsface
would u think this board is good for someone that is more of a beginner but has experience?

Bensonator
Its a great board all around. If youve got the basics down and are looking to get some experience in the park, or riding switch, while still spending time all over the mountain then id say this is a good choice. Its not gonna be 'too advanced,' for any level of rider really.

Experience:   This was my quiver killer last season. I rode this deck on the groomers; took many laps in the park, floated in the pow and it performed great. This deck can handle all conditions from ice to soft and fresh. Very predictable, I love capita's FK. Seriously, take this board anywhere! Mid flexand nice pop make this indoor so much fun to ride. Get this!

  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Park,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Stable, True twin, Awesome flex
  • Cons:  NONE!,

Experience:   Extremely playful board that can handle speed and still have insane flex. Buttering becomes almost effortless with this board easily holding any press. This board is a true twin meaning you can ride switch without making any adjustments to your style. Edges grips hard even on the iciest days of the East coast.

  • Pros:  Soft, Forgiving,

Experience:   This is a sick jib board, it kills it buttering on boxes and pressing rails, pretty much a board that can shred any jib imaginable, doesn't do great in the pipe but that's expected since it's reverse camber, also not great on big jumps
