Sierra Says: We know you?re reading this write-up on the Indoor Survival because it is the most celebrated snowboard from Capita. Why is this? Snowboarding suffers from an obsession of collecting gear and classifying snowboards. The Indoor Survival breaks this trend because it offers something for every type of rider. In short, this is a freestyle snowboard that handles the entire mountain. Learn your tricks in the park, then master them all over your favorite resort, even in the backcountry. Or learn a fun jump in the powder and then master it in the park. Forward or backward, the Indoor is for you.

Capita Says: These durable, responsive freestyle boards have become a customer favorite in the CAPiTA line because they?ve proven to survive what you can give them inside or outside the park. They are our number one selling series in Japan. They have won a Transworld Good Wood award for Freestyle boards over $400. They are the go-to board for a majority of our team riders one of the most successful lines in CAPiTA history, we?re proud to offer these boards in both cambered and reverse camber Flat Kick versions. You pick!

Twin Shape: True Twin snowboards go forward and backward equally.

Camber: Positive camber creates extra pop and is ideal for advanced riders or those that ride on ice.

Flex Rating: 5 is right in the middle to balance butters and blasting off kickers. Reverse Camber boards are always better for flexing than normal camber boards.

Reforestation Certified Sustainable Core: Help the environment without sacrificing performance. It’s official and certified by leading environmental agencies.

Form-6 C Fiberglass Configuration with Carbon Kevlar Reinforcements

Wax Infused Rotation Sintered Speed Base- A fast base that needs little maintenance because wax is infused with ptex or base material.

4x2 Inserts: Standard fit for all your stance locations and accepts every brand binding.

  • Name: Capita Indoor Survival Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Park,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  very stable, very fast, Perfect flex
  • Cons:  I can't think of any,

Experience:   I had an indoor survival FK. I loved the board, but it had a strange feeling towards the tail, kind of like it was searching back and forth for an edge while riding flat. I attributed this to its flat kick reverse camber shape. I really loved the pop and flex of the indoor, so i gave its cambered brother a try. and i was glad i did! The cambered version solved the issue. This thing was a tank. I would point it, and the board would go wherever i wanted. It held an edge very well, and was super stable. It was also my first time back on a cambered board in a while, and it was like visiting and old friend. The pop of the cambered version was much better then the fk model, however it was a bit harder to press. This might also have been because i was not used to riding camber for a while. One thing you do lose is float in powder. I had to struggle a lot more to keep the nose up than on the FK version. The FK indoor would float effortlessly in the powder. It was still fun, just not as surfy. I would definitely recommend this board to anyone looking for an all mountain board that does not want to move to a reverse camber board, or for someone who has found that reverse camber may not be for them!

  • Name: Capita Indoor Survival Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Halfpipe,High Speeds,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Great pop, Not too stiff,
  • Cons:  No wide sizes, Not too soft,

Experience:   This board is an awesome freestyle/park board, but I found it to be not as soft as I expected. This board is still press-able, but it took a little more effort (coming off of a Horrorscope). This board can handle high speeds, pretty much any size jump, and any park feature. Awesome freestyle deck!

  • Use:  Groomed,Halfpipe,High Speeds,Jumps,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  CAMBER, Flexible, Sick Graphic
  • Cons:  Stickers does not come off clean!, Too sick to describe,

Experience:   I love this board, period. After a long period of conforming to reverse camber hoopla, I always felt that something's missing. By no means I am a skilled freestyler to say 'something's missing' from a board, but I did have that feeling for a while. I try whatever that's available in the park. I do both jibs and kickers and I really need a versatile board to keep up. I am not satisfied with reverse cambers, although I love riding them. I need more stability off of jumps and RC doesn't seem to provide that. Maybe it's just my prejudice - flexy jibby board is not for big jumps and it could be just my mind set. But I really am glad that I moved back to cambers this year with Indoor. Thing I love the most about this board is the flex. When I was riding in the past with camber, I've only used SUPER rigid boards. I was so sick and tired of having to try really hard to butter and mess around on the flat land. But Indoor's different. I love the flex on this board. It's also stable off of kickers and I love it. Do I have to say more about the graphic? I paired up Indoor with orange/white franken Union Force.

  • Name: Capita Indoor Survival Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Playfull feel, good combination of flex and traction, value for money
  • Cons:  lets be honest its ugly ,

Experience:   just for comparison i own a capita quiver killer, this felt a lot nicer when just having fun on groomers like greens/ blues. i liked the feeling of some more flex when ollieng and buttering. at the same time it felt stable and locked in enough that i was confident to turn hard like i would be on my normal board (much stiffer) didnt get a chance to take it into a park or give it a real good test on some harder runs but im confident it would hold its own in those situations wishing i had bought a more flexy board!
