Sierra Says: In Short, the Capita Mid Life is an all-mountain freestyle board for guys with larger feet (US size 10-12). Don?t have big feet? Get lost and look at the Stairmaster Extreme and Indoor Survival. Each year snowboards get more versatile. The Mid Life is a Mid Wide snowboard that compliments freestyle riders who appreciate high speed carves, much like the Burton Custom. Deep Sidecut, positive camber and a stiffer flex create a high-performance board that literally tackles all terrain. Many of Sierra Staff Members own this board and love it. Check the detailed specs on the next tab.

Capita Says: The Mid Life series provides a true twin freestyle experience with an overall wider frame, slightly deeper sidecut, more pronounced shoulders, and distinctive tip and tail shapes. Designed and ridden by CAPiTA?s own, Mr. Tj Schneider.

Positive Camber- The traditional way a snowboard is made. They turn faster and pop harder than FK boards.

Twin Shape- True Twin snowboards go forward and backward equally.

Flex Rating- 6 which is stiffer than your average freestyle snowboard. Great for advanced riders who appreciate added performance and don’t like noodles.

DS SELECT Core- Built to last 100 day seasons for amazing freestylers and hard carvers.

Custom Weave - E Class Fiberglass Configuration with Carbon Kevlar

Reinforcements: -Custom Weave - E Class Fiberglass Configuration: A high energy fiberglass system balanced with 2 Kevlar strips between the bindings. In theory, this will handle highest speeds better than other freestyle boards.

Wax Infused Rotation Sintered Speed... More ?

Wax Infused Rotation Sintered Speed Base- A fast base that needs little maintenance because wax is infused with ptex or base material.

Die-cut / Screened Base Graphics- This is why the colors are so vibrant on the snowboard.

4x2 Inserts- Standard fit for all your stance locations and accepts every brand binding.

"Killer Board" 11/30/2010

  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,High Speeds,Jumps,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Rips at high speeds, Soft nose and tail , Plenty of Pop

Experience:   This is a rad all around board that so far performs well everywhere I took it. I have been looking for a board that is soft enough to help with my freestyle progression but still will not break down at high speeds and this board definitely does not disappoint. Super fun riding switch. I only wear a size 8.5 boot and even though it is a mid-wide the side cut radius does not leave me wanting in turn initiation. It might require just a tad extra in that department but really not even worth noting. So far I really love this board. I have not had a chance to put it through the paces in the park yet but will update once park is up and running. There seems to be good pop though hitting little jumps around the mountain. Highly recommend. I picked up the 2010 version but other than graphic I do not believe the board changed from 2010 t 2011.

"Lovely!" 7/12/2011

  • Pros:  Stable, poppy, camber!
  • Cons:  none!,

Experience:   I am not the biggest fan of capita's FK tech, so i loved their camber offerings. capita's cambered boards are among some of the best i have ridden. The mid life was no different. Perfect flex, perfect stability. Without fk you lose float in powder, but you gain stability and control. The graphics are also amazing in person. perfect for park riders who want the stability to take it to the rest of the mountain!

  • Name: Capita Mid Life Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,High Speeds,Jibs,Jumps,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  insane amount of pop, flexy nose and tail, great at high speeds
  • Cons:  nothing ,

Experience:   I grabbed the 2010 midlife at the end of last season an was finally able to ride it. other then the graphic i am about 99% sure its the exact same board. i got a size 10.5 boot so the mid wide works awesome for me. this board performs so well at high speeds unlike the noodles alot of people get for the park and then compalin about when they suck at high speeds. Dont let the flex rating scare you away. Even though you cant bend this board in half like other park boards the nose and tail are flexy enough that you can do some killer jibs on this. My favorite part of this board is the godly pop you can get out of this board. None of my other or my friends boards i have ridden have had this much pop. goin huge off jumps are effortless. I love this board and it is definitly under rated and under appricated definalty worth the $420
