Sierra says: Identical to the Stairmaster in every aspect except the graphic, the Scaremaster is a top shelf jib board for an unbeatable price. Maybe that is why we chose our 2008 Sierra Crew board to be modeled from this one. Don't like the Stairmaster graphic but want the board? Pick up a Scaremaster. If you are looking for a total park and street ripper that is capable for any level rider, then the Scaremaster is the board for you.

Capita says: A technical clone of the Stairmaster, the SCAREMASTER series is another opportunity to downsize and rip a smaller, wider, softer board around the park. These boards are bold and brooding graphically, but from the top of the chair to t... More ?

"It's grrrrrrrreat!" 6/5/2009

  • Name: Capita Scaremaster

  • Use:  Boxes,Carving,Groomers,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  lightweight, Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds, Strong edgehold, Great value, Well known brand

Experience:   GREAT board. Don't listen to people on here though, it's really not all that soft. Don't get me wrong, it's softer than an all mountain board and stuff, but I bought this thinking it was going to be a bit noodley and that's not the case. It's not the best in pow, but I do have a 152. It's awesome on jibs though, just the right amount of flex. It handled the big booters at Snoqualmie just fine. Really helped me progress my skills, it's very poppy and very light. Makes you feel better than you may actually be haha

  • Use:  Groomed,Park
  • Pros:  Looks Great!, Lightweight, Medium Flex
  • Cons:  None,

Experience:   This board is discontinued, but if you have a buddy that's selling his/hers, you should pick it up. It's a great board that's lightweight and fun all over the mountain. The top graphic is cool but I get tons o' compliments on the bottom graphic! Capita makes quality boards, and this one is no exception.

  • Name: Capita Scaremaster

  • Use:  Groomed,Jumps,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Poppy, Lightweight,

Experience:   Super light, lots of pop and fun to ride. It was a weird transition coming from T.Rice BTX which was kind of noodley. The scaremaster felt stiff and catchy which took some getting used to.

"Capita Scaremaster Good Wood All Mountain Board" 8/14/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Capita Scaremaster
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Strong edgehold, Great value

Experience:   I bought the Scaremaster 159 to use as an all mountain board and it's been great. The extra length makes it more stable and doesn't chatter too much at speed. The top AND bottom graphics get compliments all the time and were a big reason for getting this board over the stairmaster. Pick one up while you still can.

"Great Board for the $$$" 6/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Capita Scaremaster
  • Pros:  lightweight, poppy, Great value

Experience:   Nice and lightweight with plenty pop, it holds an edge decently and isn't too bad in pow. Its actually a fair bit stiffer than I expected but once broken in it has a nice moderate amount of flex.
