Sierra Says: Girls just wanna have fun! Well there is no better way to do it than with the new Space Metal Fantasy. This board boasts a noodley flex, reverse cambered shape, and true twin design, and is ideal for throwing down in the jib park or just screwing off around the mountain.

Capita Says: Modeled after the Horrorscope FK, the reverse camber Flat Kick application of the SMF yields the same major results. Elevated contact points provide a very forgiving, fun experience for intermediate riders looking to expedite the learning curve, and pre-loaded camber positioning helps expert level jibbers looking to impress.

  • Name: Capita Space Metal Fantasy Womens
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,High Speeds,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Super soft (one of softest wmns board ive ridden), Light (anyone who says this is heavy is WRONG), FUN!!! really easy to ride and enjoy
  • Cons:  slower edge to edge transision (its a prk brd duh), torsionally very soft (gotta get used to that), soft boards dont power through choppy snow

Experience:   Height: 5' 3// Weight: 125lbs// Boots: Burton Sapphire, size 7.5 // Stance: 22, 18/-18// 2011/2010 CAPiTA Space Metal Fantasy 143 the CAPiTA SMF is based on the mens horroscope. Continuously by far my favourite snowboard... it's one of the softest boards I've ever ridden, but also one of the most fun. For someone who used to ride a lot of stiffer snowboards and enjoys laying down deep trenches on groomed runs, this super noodle deck has never let me down. I can do everything I used to do as a rider, and more! This board gives nice short radius turns, and nice fat carves, it's good on jumps, box's and rails, and excels mainly in the park. I would highly recommend this as a park board for any lady looking to add to their quiver. Additionally, I would also highly recommend this to any beginner looking for something to get started on, its very forgiving and easy to ride. As an advanced rider, I enjoy this board EVERYWHERE! and on EVERYTHING! It's def my go to deck for guaranteed fun! Cant believe its not butter? this is nothing but. Press, pop, jib, progress, lay it down, giv'er! On the downside, this board is torsional soft as well making ollying straight somewhat more challenging at times, just something to get used to... and soft boards don't power through chop very well, so if you like to ride really fast and straight line... might wanna look elsewhere. The 2011 deck rides almost identically to the 2010... I didn't notice any major differences.

"My favorite board EVER!" 11/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Capita Space Metal Fantasy Womens
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  soft, fun!,
  • Cons:  chatters at high speeds,

Experience:   I got this board towards the end of last season but I was able to take it up to the mountains twice before the season completely ended. I instantly fell in love with it! My 2 previous boards were the burton feather and burton feelgood (not the rockered one). I love my feelgood but oh my, the Capita is SOO much fun! I started riding park and this board made it so easy to go on ramps! I had no problems on groomed snow either. The only odd (not completely negative) thing about this board is that it chatters at high speeds but it does NOT affect performance. I think most rocker boards do though. This board is definitely the board i'm going to be riding throughout most of this upcoming season!

"My First Board" 7/31/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Capita Space Metal Fantasy Womens
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Park,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Unique, Reliable,

Experience:   I bought this board for the 09/10 winter season after I took a snowboarding lesson and fell in love with the sport. After a few weeks of researching and asking around about snowboards and what to look for I found myself lead to this one on multiple occasions. I find that this board is good for beginners but also allows for progression as I did not have any problems with it throughout everything that I learned this winter with my 3x a week boarding habit. It lead me through learning to link turns all the way through to my first park tricks and bigger jumps. This board has been reliable and I have received many comments about its bad-assness. I have yet to see someone else on my mountain with this board which I like because it allows me to stand out. I would recommend this board to any beginner female that wants a board to learn on as well as one that gives you confidence. I have the 147 and it looks awesome with my rome madison white fade bindings! :)

"Capita Space Metal Fantasy" 5/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Capita Space Metal Fantasy Womens
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Rails
  • Pros:  Flex!, butteryyyyy, wide stance
  • Cons:  Not so stable at speed/in chop,

Experience:   I got the space metal fantasy for my park board this year, and I love it! It's perfect for butters, and boxes and rails, which is what I tend to ride most. I've only taken it over small jumps and rollers, but I haven't had any problem with stability on the landings, maybe could pose a problem with bigger jumps. The only problem I had was that it wasn't super stable when riding over chop or charging through spring slush. But what can be expected, it's by far the flexy-est girls park board I've seen. I would recommend this board if you are looking for a super flexy, buttery board to play around with on boxes and rails, or for ground tricks.

"Capita (SMF) is magic!" 2/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Capita Space Metal Fantasy Womens
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Jibs,Low Speeds,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Good kind of soft, Catch-free due to FK tech, Decent pop for a board so soft
  • Cons:  Somewhat slower edge to edge,

Experience:   Bought this board early this season because of all the reverse camber buzz, but shelved it because I found the edge-to-edge slowness unnerving. End of story? Not so! About a month ago, I started to get really serious about learning freestyle riding. I got so bored and frustrated I even took up skiing. Then I decided to give this board another try-- and I'm glad I did! I might really just s*ck at riding the park, but the SMF was like a magical key to freestyle progression for me. Having trouble locking into that box and completing your maneuver because your approach is sketchy? No problem! The SMF is VERY stable when ridden flat-based (up to moderate speeds) and it doesn't catch edges because of the FlatKick tech. Troubles learning how to ride switch? This board is torsionally soft, so it is really easy to turn (even compared to a similarly sized Stairmaster). Wanna maximize on your presses? Like everyone else here is saying, this is the softest board I've been on as well. But the bottom line is that this is a REALLY FUN board. Took me a while to understand that concept, but if it's because the SMF is RIDICULOUSLY EASY to butter, jump around in, do ollies with, spin, jib and just plain dork about on, then I finally got it. Probably not gonna be the last park board I'm buying, but the SMF opened up doors for me and made me fall in love with snowboarding again. Thank you Capita!

"Loved it!" 2/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Capita Space Metal Fantasy Womens
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Jibs,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Soft, Versitle,

Experience:   So, I finally took all the advice I was getting and ordered the SMF. It came just in time for the weekend and I rode it without thinking twice about going back to my other board. It's likely the softest board I've ever ridden and possibly the most fun. I'm definitely not a freestyle rider but I'm trying to get more into it. This made presses infinitely easier for me and I started practicing ollies. I used the board on some groomers and even on some mogul runs and it held up great despite the softness. All in all I thought this was a great addition. I don't regret the purchase at all, and I have a feeling this is going to be my go to board 80% of the time. Thanks Sierra!

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Capita Space Metal Fantasy Womens
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,Jibs,Low Speeds,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  fun, pop,
  • Cons:  HEAVY, squirrelly,

Experience:   Got this board to replace my K2 vava voom. Its got decent pop, awesome graphics, and is soft as f*ck, which is good if you spend all of your time jibbing like me. Its pretty heavy compared to my VVV and my sisters Feelgood. The weight really seems to affect how it handles jumps and spins. Just doesnt seem to float through the air or spin as easily. Its good through powder cause of the rocker, but wish it was more stable when going fast. Decent board, but was expecting more from it.

  • Pros:  tons of pop, soft yet stable,
  • Cons:  slower edge-to-edge,

Experience:   loooooove this board. Rode my friends a few times and wish I could have it. FK tech makes popping ollies feel so good. Also gives it that skate feel cause you feel the point where you get the *snap* that sends you in the air. Surprisingly stable for a board that is so soft. Incredibly easy to press/butter. The only con is it is slightly slower edge-to-edge but i'm sure that it just takes getting used to.

"Awesome board..." 12/13/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Capita Space Metal Fantasy Womens
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Rails
  • Pros:  Nice flex, Stable, Perfect for jibbing rails

Experience:   This board is everything that I hoped it would be when I purchased it. It is nice and flexy, without feeling like a noodle. I previously had a problem buttering and popping ollies on my old board, but after just a few runs with this board, I was popping ollies off of everything, and buttering much easier. It is stable at higher speeds, and jibbing rails feels almost effortless. I think this board would be suitabe for anyone who loves to ride park, from beginners, just learning to jib rails, to advanced riders who have been riding the park for years. Capita definitely got it right with their Flat Kick technology.
