Likes: Columbia is a good company that puts out some pretty good quality gear. I've owned a winter jacket for years back in the day and it's held up. The rain jacket does the job quite nicely. But seems like the lesser Northface in the end.
Dislikes: My only knock on them is that the designs are bland.

Likes: Columbia is solid. Certainly not a core brand I'd rank these guys up there with NorthFace as mainstream outerwear providers. They're pretty vanilla in terms of style with nothing outlandish going on in terms of designs. Their products are solid, there's no doubting that. You get what you pay for. Overall a solid company.

Likes: one of the BEST outfitters out there! i have owned countless columbia products and they have never let me down or worn out over the years. they have style and fit for every person at a great price. i have not owned a single product that i would return other than for sizing. also they are always trying new thing ezpecially for their winter wear and i really like that.

Likes: Who hasnt owned something by Colombia over the years. Decent stuff, not sure I would bank on their ski wear, but for hiking and other outdoor fun... you cant go wrong.

People who don't want flashy jackets this is a great brand because they are usually solid colors and not flashy but great quality jackets and defiantly keep you warm.

Likes: I really like Colombia's products for the mostpart. They are kind of a "house hold brand," atleast that is what I think of them. They make very quality and durable gear for layering and outerwear.
Dislikes: Colombia isn't something I would really ever buy and wear for shredding around my mountain, just because it isn't a very popular brand on the mountain.

I have owned shirts, pants, waterproof/ rain gear, shoes and jackets.
I have never had a problem with quality of the products from columbia.
Dislikes: they could offer some variety in style. they do a good job of making a lot of their products look similar and it makes it easy to pair pants, jackets, hats, etc together, but it also make a lot of their products look the same.. so kind of boring

Likes: What is good about Columbia gear is the constancy of high quality and upcoming collections evry season. they are multisportive and became in favor among our parents, grandparents... because of long company histiry and wide invasion on the market.
Dislikes: I don't like the price policy for Columbia gear, at least in Ukraine. I guess our representatives want to make price talk about the quality.. seems pretty stupid.
Also stuff by Columbia often look too strickt and conservative. Lame colors, graphics... basically nothing special.

Likes: There was a time when I thought Columbia was the top tech stuff, but that was when I was in high school and now I generally see this as a bargain brand with a ton of pieces you can find in big-box or discount sporting goods stores. That being said, some of their more expensive stuff does have some good tech in it, and even some of their bottom-end pieces (e.g. fleeces, flannel shirts, etc.) will get the job done.
Dislikes: I've had a number of pieces of Columbia gear over the years and have developed an impression that it is not the toughest, or most tech, stuff around.

Likes: good clothing that does the job (nothing has torn or broken down...yet)
Dislikes: shoes and backpacks...hiking shoes don't seem very durable (sole breaks down after a few trips of ~20miles/trip). backpacks (at least the one that looks like a tent) is almost useless. it has a tendency to say, which saps your stamina...bottom line, watch for their untested design flaws.

Likes: antastic stuff, i own a comlumia jacket and pants. The jacket is just fantastic, it has soo many features, i was basically finding something new about it everyday! its very warm, very durable and looks great. Pants are also very sturdy, look great and both units have fantastic waterproofing, was landing on my butt a lot as a noob, and butt didnt get wet lol, i was lying on the snow from exaustion, and jacket safeguarded me from any damp patches.

Likes: My columbia titanium jacket finally broke its zipper last year. It lasted me almost 10yrs though. I used to have another columbia jacket as a kid and loved it too, but unfortunately it got lost. My favorite part about columbia is their 3in1 system. The liners are always comfortable, and the shells are also pretty waterproof and very tough.
Dislikes: my last jacket only had the powder skirt, but no way to attach the skirt/jacket to the pants.

Likes: Columbia makes good product overall, though i would sometimes question their quality. I just feel that when you buy their gear, your buying into their name and that all the little things may have not been put into it and that if you want all of that stuff, your gonna have to pay.
Dislikes: The price is usually higher then what i would say is fair. The quality of their gear isn't the best, though it really is hit or miss. I would also say that their gear isn't really fashion forward as their clothes is bland.

Likes: This is probably one of the brands on my list that I really trust and have my respect for. I owned 3 winter jackets, a pair of snowboarding pants, a pair of skiing pants and two pairs of shoes. The first jacket I bought and snowboarding pants were on 40% of sale prices. That's whe for the first time I truly experienced breathing and waterproofing clothing. My snowboarding pants I was wearing (used for skiing in colder or windier conditions) were a little heavier than normal ski pants but I never used additional thermals and never felt moisture on the inside. After having Columbia stuff for 2 years I really became a big fan of Columbia â€" the stuff really lasts and made for performance conditions, I could’ve worn those today if I wouldn’t gain some weight around my waist. Ever since I do not really feel ripped off when buying Columbia â€" even when it is 20-30% off. It is really worth those dollars.
RRP is probably still too much for most of the clothing.
Columbia has been around for over 70 year and was one of the pioneers in the design of breathable, warm and lightweight clothing. They have always been innovative with technology and materials they use and that stuff rarely disappoints.
Dislikes: One thing I think they should really catch up on is investing into more fashionable designs, targeting younger consumer groups. I personally think they are a little behind brands like Burton here.
Pricing for some products is sometimes unreasonable.

Likes: Colombia jackets are super comfortable and warm for riding. they are soft and fuzzy also. i liked the great selection of coats and jackets because they are all very fashionable and flattering.
Dislikes: although they may be a tad pricy, it's worth it. when just wearing the liner of a coat or a jacket, the wind goes through and makes me cold but it's still very worth it.

Dislikes: I bought some Columbia pants three winters ago, and after skiing with them only 3 weeks, the bottom pants started to tear and rip. This might be because i am an extreme skier or because I got a cheaper pair of Columbia pants but if I were to buy Columbia pants, I would invest in the higher quality types.
