Sierra Says: The Journey is a similar but less aggressive version of the Status, and is constructed with DC?s directional fiber lining, support beams, and 3D J-bars to deliver the snuggest fit imaginable. You can forget worrying about heel-lift or sloppiness, and start noticing high-end response. Also added is a welded backstay and toe reinforcement for phenomenal binding grip and durability thus allowing 100% energy transfer from your boot to binding, which is necessary when you throw down big tricks. Most importantly the Snow Performance footbed has max arch support with gel in the heel and toe for dampening vibrations and absorbing shock when landing off of big features in the park or backcountry. Enhancing this feature is the Exo Air Skeleton sole by providing extra cushion underfoot. This is a pretty stiff boot and we recommend it for the more advanced all-mountain freestyle rider that is not afraid to go all out and wants the extra response to help him do so.

DC Says: One of the team?s favorite boots! Cushioning, support, flex, and overall design make the Journey an obvious choice, whether you?re a park kid or backcountry charger.

"Fit me well" 11/10/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: DC Journey
  • Pros:  Snug heel, supportive fit,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  9.5
  • Boot Size:  9.5

Experience:   These boots fit my feet well when I tried them on at the shop. They run a little small... most boots I wear a 9 but with these I will have to go 9.5. The heel pocket is snug but the boot widens around the toe-box.

  • Name: DC Journey
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Good flex, Warm
  • Cons:  none,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  11.5
  • Boot Size:  12.0

Experience:   1st Let me say Trusnow accidently let me order a boot, which was out of stock. They promptly called me, upgraded my order, and still had my boots to me in 2 days, EVEN with the killer snowstorm we just had in the east! Thanks Trusnow! They sent me the Journey man, great boot! I dont have anything to compare these to, but, there was no pain or discomfort from the second I put them on. I road for 4 hours the first day with no pain during and or after. As a first time snowboard I found myself having to unstrap and jog a few times to the lifts to catch up with my friends, I could have ran a mile in these boots. My friends were amazed (jealous) at how comfortable these boots were. Concerning my snowboarding I was at the top of the mtn with in the 1st hour and carving in under an hour.

"Great boots!" 1/1/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: DC Journey
  • Pros:  Very comfortable, firm and tight, looks cool
  • Cons:  Tears up the back of some bindings, A bit tight on the heel,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  11.5
  • Boot Size:  12

Experience:   These are excellent boots for the price. They are easy to walk in, and hold your feet very firmly. However, there are these ridges on the back of them, and they started to tear up the foam on the inner part of my bindings. I put some electrical tape over them and now its fine, but just keep that in mind. I highly recommend these to any rider.

"Great boots" 12/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: DC Journey
  • Pros:  Very well padded, Very supportive,
  • Cons:  Run small,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  12
  • Boot Size:  13

Experience:   Just rode with these boots for the first time last weekend and they were great. Super padded, no heal lift, warm, and very supportive. I got the white ones which are pretty crazy looking which I like. I am an all mountain rider that like cruising around the mountain and goes off the occasional jump and these boats were perfect. The stiffness in the upper part of the boot really made riding on my toe edge and takes some of the pressure off the calf muscle.

"Among the BEST for sure!" 10/2/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: DC Journey
  • Pros:  VERY comfortable, Plush padding,
  • Cons:  color combo,
  • Shoe Size:  8.5
  • Boot Size:  8

Experience:   My local shop had a sick price so I had to buy a pair. I worn a 2009 32 lashed, Burton Hails, and I loved them, and I thought I would never find boots that were as comfy as those (once broken in, which honestly took nearly a full season). I was wrong. Out of the box, the Phase made me forget my lashed 32. They fit true to size and the differences in comfort were apparent. These boots are just the right amount of stiffness, and flat landings are barely noticeable due to the extra padding. My feet could not be happier! My feet are officially spoiled. It's like walking in one of these is amazing! I will definitely buy again for the coming season.

"Muy buenas botas para free ride" 8/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: DC Journey
  • Pros:  Dureza, Precio, Durabilidad
  • Cons:  Diseño basico, Dificiles de colocar,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  8.5
  • Boot Size:  9.5

"Nice Boots" 6/14/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: DC Journey
  • Pros:  support while maintaining flex, no heel lift, low profile & weight
  • Cons:  maybe durability (?),
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  8-9
  • Boot Size:  8.5

Experience:   I have only gotten to ride these for one day after wearing them for a couple days to break them in. At first they felt a little tight, but after they packed out a bit it was great. These things really hold your heel in place, so no worry of my heelside not wanting to do what I tell it. There is plenty of cushion as well. The upper is a little stiffer than some, but there is a flexible ankle joint. They have traditional lacing, which I have no problem with. My only minor gripe is that the edge of the suede-like material on the toe started to tear a little at the seam where my binding toe strap rested on it. A tiny bit of gorilla glue means that won't be happening again. I might just run a small bead on the seam of each toe to reinforce them and prevent them from catching on the straps in the future.

Experience:   I just recently picked up these boots and I love them. They are warm, real comfortable, fit snug, and have no heel lift. I destroy boots and these look like they might hold up for awhile. I don't think you can go wrong with these.

"ALL MOUNTAIN ANYONE???" 2/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: DC Journey
  • Pros:  basically everything on this boot is amazing,
  • Cons:  great arch support and im flat footed...,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  9.5-10
  • Boot Size:  10

Experience:   not really a con for most but im really flat footed and these things have amazing arch support which really bugged me at first but when i got riding in them i didnt really seem to notice. just when i was walking in the restaurant and stuff like that. these things were amazing on the 20footers that i was hitting along with the 2010 Forces. and were great on the climb back up to the top of terrain park and some icy spots and some pow just felt amazing everywhere in the resort. just an great all around boot. personally used to a softer flex but after a couple rails and tail presses got used to it.

"impressive" 11/28/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: DC Journey
  • Pros:  Hood heel hold, stiff, light weight
  • Cons:  average in and out,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  9 to 10
  • Boot Size:  9.5

Experience:   While im very picky about the boots i wear, i have to say that im impressed with the DC Journey. I have a wider foot that feels at home in a 32 boot and with the DC, while not a wide boot, still fit fine. The heel pockets were there for good support and the flex of the boot is very responsive. So if you are a more aggressive or advanced rider and looking for a boot that will deliver, i suggest you go in and try on and pick up a pair of these. I would say that it is an 'average fit' and will fit most people fine. i wear a 9 to 10 in shoes. i picked up a 9.5 and it works perfect.
