Experience:   after destroying my last pair of burtons with speed lace, i decided to try boas. i've always heard great things about dc boots, so i decided to splurge a bit and get dc judge. the boots run a bit smaller, i think...but, maybe it's all in my head. boa focus is much better than single boa boots out there, but it still pinches in certain places. boas are GREAT, but it's hard to customize your fit. overall, i would recommend these boots, but make sure you try them on with your board socks before buying.

"Terrible Costumer Service and Defective Product" 10/13/2011

Experience:   I have a pair of these and I had a problem on warranty with the Boa system which was detaching from the boot leather itself. I sent them in to DC through the retailer I bought them from and DC answered that they simply would not warranty the boots because they were still 'operational'. In other words, since I could still tighten the boots, there was no problem found! Wait... Maybe I need to have the tightening system completely wreck itself and fall apart to have warranty on a 280.00 boot!?!?! It's visible that the BOA will fall from the rest of the boot anytime. They should use this example to improve the product and not to tell the consumer that the product has no problem. That is simply unacceptable for such a product and for a company that wants to sustain itself as a market leader. Terrible service, terrible warranty. Won't ever buy another DC product again. I truly do not recommend DC boots due too their poor customer service along with a defective product. Was this helpful?

You should also know that my girlfriend and I have both had DC Judges (2007 model--well, she has the ladies single-boa version) for 5 seasons now, and for the last 3 seasons the leather looks like it's separating from the plastic boa connectors--but they're still rock-solid. It definitely LOOKS like the connector is going to pull out at any minute, but I'm telling you, the boa is totally stable. Mine are now wearing out in other places so I'm looking at buying them again--I'm just disappointed they don't have the inflatable bladder around the heel anymore, that system totally locked my foot down and made for a super secure boot. I know other people claimed their bladders failed (ha ha ha) but both my and my girl have had zero problems in 5 years of hard riding. And I live in Colorado (read, tons of use). I also would miss the HeatFactory footbed pad that has a cutout to put a handwarmer under each foot, for those cooooold days. But I think DC is right on this one--even if it looks like the plastic connectors will pull out, they don't.

Experience:   the tightening system keeps the boots tight and unlike laces the wires wont loosen. also makes it easier to take the boots off when your fingers are frozen and laces are hard to untie. DC boots are always warm and fit great to my foot. just a great boot to place your money on.

Experience:   Spent a day trying on boots to replace my 2003 Dc Judges (with the Reebok Pump). Tried Burtons (the Rulers are ridiculously narrow), Rides, and even the 2012 Judges. These just simply fit the best. Took em out for a test run at Copper Entry and exit are simple and these have much better hold and flex then the new strap system on the 2012 Judges. Those feel like ski boots in comparison. Kept the toes warm and heel lift is nil with these things. Response is so much better with my Union Forces and my feet weren't sore at the end of the day. I really didn't think it was gonna make a huge difference upgrading but now I wish I'd done it sooner. I'd recommend going to a shop and trying on a number of pairs. I was set on the Rulers and so glad I tried em on first. Judges are fantastic all mountain. Happy Shredding.

Experience:   I bought these boots mainly bc I was attracted to the BOA system. First of all, the fit seemed to be true to size right-out-of-the-box. It took a while of riding and walking around in them to truly break them in. Other reviewers have complained about the BOA lacing system giving them issues... I'm not hard on my boots and I've always taken care of them... so no problems there. Certain parts of the leather material have seemed to wear prematurely, but no big deal there. The boots are warm, and will keep your feet that way all day. My only complaint about the BOA system is that, at first, there seemed to be some uneven tight spots on the top of my feet, but that went away after the first few days of breaking in the boots. Don't hesitate to buy these boots.

Experience:   I rode this boot for most of the season this year and I absolutely loved them. I mostly got to ride them in the park and they worked great for that. I did some backcountry riding with them and they also work really good for that. They had great support around my feet. They were just a little tight around the area before my toes. But I think that is just because my feet are so messed up. They kept my feet nice and toasty. That is one of the main things I look for. Once your feet or hands get cold the day will no longer be fun. DC has always done a great job with their boots. I will probably be riding this model again next year.

Experience:   This pair boots...guess what...u don't need to tide your shoelaces anymore!! All you have to do is to turn the knob at the front and it will tighten the boot for you...amazing right??

Experience:   Great boot, kept me warm to the toes, felt like i was one the board as it would respond so well when coupled with the right bindings. Even great off the board, better than last years model, better grip sole. Only problem is it takes a while to break in and truly be comfortable
