"Just can't go wrong with this board!" 10/16/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: DC MLF Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Has a playful flex, Stable enough for jumps/high speed/pow, Switch riding is awesome due to twin shape
  • Cons:  You start to wish it was more flexible,

Experience:   I picked up this board because I really trust DC and their quality of boards. My other board is the DC PJ&B. I honestly love both boards but I like the MLF because of the stability of the control and the speed. It's a twin shape so I love the fact the symmetry and the fact that riding switch won't feel too different. The flex of the board gives it a nice pop coming off jumps/logs/boxes. I highly recommend this board because it works well in all conditions and riding style. Great board all mountain board!

"Amazing" 9/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: DC MLF Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Amazing Edge Hold, Light, Stable at speeds
  • Cons:  Stiff but its not supposed to be a noodle,

Experience:   I'm a snowboard instructor In South lake tahoe and This board is amazing!!! I had one last season riding in Lake Tahoe. It did everything well!!! Carved Jumped Jibbed Rode half pipe hit jumps... Super solid ride and it has a nice tight turn radius for those short turns It was amazing.. Definitely A stiffer board.. If you like to ride all mountain and park then definitely get this board..

"Weak board" 5/1/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: DC MLF Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  snappy pop (for a while),
  • Cons:  piss weak core,

Experience:   I thought this board was great for the first 2 weeks or so but once you start hitting bigger kickers some of those heavy landings affect the core i have been through 3 154 DC HKD devun pro's and a 2011 MLF 154 and it was the same outcome for all of the boards. snapped. the MLF didnt even snap on a big landing it was just a high speed crash. All in All if your a weekend warrior who occassionally hits a 20 footer then this is a perfect board to step up to. but if your looking for a board thatll last the season and be able to handle big booters and under rotated tame dogs this is not the board for you.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: DC MLF Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Stable, Smooth, Good Pop
  • Cons:  Heavy, Stiff,

Experience:   This was my first Good board and I loved it out west. But when I started Riding on the east coast I struggled because this board is for charging not for playful buttery park runs. Great on large park features and big booters and good for big long rails. But not as good on smaller buttery park features. Loved this board though.

"2011 DC MLF" 4/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: DC MLF Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Stable , Smooth turn initiation, Handles the entire mountain with ease
  • Cons:  None,

Experience:   I have the 2011 MLF in a 158. Very stable on groomers and great edge hold. Smooth turn initiation. Handles speed very well. Edges are not catchy when riding hard and fast. In powder it's playful/fun. Very easy to snap quick turns in trees. Riding pow on the MLF is like riding a short board on large waves while surfing. Snappy, fun, quick/manuverable. Off piste: Light weight/medium flex. Slight chatter as it flexed from the uneven ruts/crud. Handles chop better than any freestyle oriented deck I've ridden. Park: This is where the MLF shines. EXTREMELY stable on very large kickers/large gap jumps. Doesn't buck you on take offs and absorbs impact very well. The most stable deck I've ridden on large jumps. Held an edge very well in the half pipe, but there are more pipe specific decks. Handled several types of boxes well. The edges were not catchy while on a box. The DC MLF is not a board that is the very best at any one certain type of terrain. It is a board that definitely does ALL types of terrain EXTREMELY well.
