All new for winter '12, the DC Ply snowboard is designed to ride like a skateboard on the snow. A true twin under foot with unique nose and tail shapes, this board will bring out the street skater in all of us. With a diverse collection of graphics that have tons of personality just like the team riders that endorse it. "I wanted a board that has a nice shape, a cool look, and an all around good feel. I'm super hyped on this thing!" - Aaron Bittner

Base color may very.

Key Features of the DC Ply Snowboard:
Stratus Core: Vertically laminated 100% poplar wood core is powerful, lightweight, and maintains good pop, whether in the steeps, park or the streets.
Flexalite Tip: 30% lighter than traditional construction and better flex. Reduced swing weight and the new flex is designed to give the rider more control on tricky presses
Radius 2 Flat: The flat surfaces at the tip and tail of the board provide lift in powder to keep you floating in the deepest snow, while the radius blends in perfectly with the sidecut to create effortless transitions from edge to edge
True Base: fast, durable and easy to maintain. Provides exceptionally fast base that doesn't require frequent tuning.
64.20 Bi-Ax: Two directions of glass fibers are woven tightly together for a forgiving and torsionally flexible ride without sacrificing strength and durability and giving you increased board control
Structurn Base: Scientifically proven to be a faster base in all conditions. Just like the dimples of a golf ball break tension and make it fly farther, these small dimples in DC's base break water tension and allow your board to glide faster, turn easier and allow you to ride on
Lock & Load Camber: New approach to 'traditional' camber. Camber throughout the midsection of the board, and then DC lengthened the traditional contact points of the board to create a flat, stable platform for locking on, and loading up the tail
Flex: 6
Length (cm): 147.25, 150.5, 153.75, 156.5

"Camber Park Board" 11/21/2013

  • Name: DC Ply Snowboard 153
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Poppy, Fast, Light

Experience:   Rider: 5'8 150lb. So I bought the Torstein pro model version of this board at 150.5CM. I was looking to downsize from my 154 and wanted camber so this board was what I chose. I was hesitant because of the extruded base but figured it shouldn't be a big issue with speed. So first camber- its great having it under my legs again. I stopped riding camber for a couple of years (rode reverse camber and zero camber boards) so immediately noticed the increased stability when going and out of turns. The pop on jumps is substantially better too. But also felt the bite of the edges digging whenever I overrotated and was on an edge. Definitely not as forgiving as other boards, but thats the compromise right. DC has a new tech for the base- dimples. These little divots on the base are suppose to help push snow/water through the board, making it faster. I don't know if this is what I felt, but the board definitely felt fast. But then again, i've never had a new board feel slow. I havent been able to experience the benefits of the reverse camber outside the bindings. Looking at it, i doubt I feel it drastically. Its got a good flex for buttering, but again, I've sized down a lot from my 154 so don't know if its the flex of the board or just the size of the board. I am 150lb so you can make some comparisons off that. I am happy with board being my park board, was fun on jumps and jibs. If you are looking for a camber park board, this is a good buy.
