"Dakine B(roke)-fly" 11/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine BFly Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  Grip,
  • Cons:  Breaks apart,

Experience:   I purchased this stomp pad from Trusnow last season and only had a chance to use it once before it broke apart on me. I got it because the reviews seemed great. I don't know if the stomp pad can't take cold weather, but after my first run, one of the metal spikes came off in the snow. No big deal. Then later on that same day the top corner of the b-fly got brittle and snapped off too followed by another spike. Pretty much after one day of riding, half of my stomp pad was missing. As soon as I got home I removed it with a heat gun. I would not and have not recommended this item to any friends.

"pretty sick pad" 5/6/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Dakine BFly Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  looks great and sticks,

Experience:   my friend have one of those on his board. I tried it out during our last get together, it surely isn't a high cost and really nothing important for your riding i guess.. but still, this pad is a sick pad for its purpose and it doesn't come off easy.

"High profile, grippy!" 4/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Dakine BFly Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  Grippy,
  • Cons:  High profile, Stands out,

Experience:   A female stomp pad that really stands out. Like the male version, the Venom, this is very high profile. It hardly ever gets covered completely by the snow, so grip is always there!. Girlfriend loves the design. It really does stand out. If you want a low profile stomp, look elsewhere. If you want excellent grip, ALL THE TIME, this is it!

"Exactly what a stomp pad should be" 4/6/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: Dakine BFly Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  Spikes for cleaning out the snow in your tread, Nice colors, The right size for a stomp pad
  • Cons:  Its a butterfly,

Experience:   Bought this stomp pad to go with my girlfriends Gullwing Runaway board and it looks pretty sweet on it. The silver and black blends in nicely even if it is a butterly shape.

"They actually work!" 4/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Dakine BFly Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  really good traction,
  • Cons:  design,

Experience:   okay, so the design is girly but at least this stomp pad won't make you fall in front of your friends. The two spikes definitely poke into the bottom of your boot (no penetration) and the traction is great! If you don't mind the girly design, I highly recommend one!

"great stomp pad" 9/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine BFly Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  sticks well, grips well,

Experience:   Bought the Butterfly Stomp pad a while back. Unlike the stomp pad I had previously that cost me $20 from a store this one actually holds to the board and looks sweet at the same time. I found the grip was fine, Just make sure you position it correctly before you stick it down, unlike me...

"no glue, breaks easily, poor material" 2/25/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine BFly Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  looked nice for my wife's board, price (basically free),
  • Cons:  glue came off, broke into pieces,

Experience:   Since there are only 44 reviews of this stomp pad I thought I'd add my two cents. Purchased this from Sierra to put on my wife's Fish LTD (what a bad-ass board that is, truly). When it arrived I promptly attempted to apply -- but the glue peeled off with the sticker and I was unable to re-attach. uugghh. Because it looked so cool, we were not phased, and used some kind of epoxy glue we found in the garage, which seemed to work just fine. Until she actually used the board, that is. First the butterfly head fell off. Then the top left wing. Then the lower left wing. Then the poor butterfly's a$$. Now there is just a busted-up stomped-a$$ looking bug, which apparently works pretty well as a stomp pad on her powder board, so whatever. But now you know -b

"Would have been fantastic were there glue on the back!" 1/4/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: Dakine BFly Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  Super grippy, Nice shape and colour for women's boards,
  • Cons:  Ours had no glue on the back!,

Experience:   I can't possibly give this stomp pad any more than 3 stars even though it looks fantastic and probably would have been rad on my wife's board. I had purchased this last year in the March 2010 sale and hadn't went to put it on until our trip to Tremblant in December. When I went to install it there was no stick and peel at all on the back and actually no glue of any kind. It almost looked it like had been used as there were scratches yet it was fully new when I opened the package. Long story short I had to email Dakine to get some more stomp pads (they gave me a choice of 2 and actually sent both). Unfortunately they were too late for our trip and the wifey didn't have a stomp pad. This was disappointing but Dakine came through in the end for us. I'm not sure whether or not to recommend this as I think I got a defect or something. The stomp pad looks amazing and I think it will perform well, just hope it's got glue on the back!
