"Dig the stomp pad" 5/1/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Flake Mat Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  traction, looks great,
  • Cons:  sharp spikes,

Experience:   I've got this stomp pad and it works well enough as a stomp pad. It works well & looks great! The only problem with this stomp pad is the spikes, they're sharp and can scratch you pretty good if you're not careful.

"Works well but OUCH!" 12/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Flake Mat Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  Low Profile, Effective,
  • Cons:  Be careful when you are carrying your board,

Experience:   This is an effective stomp pad by Dakine. It's very thin and clear so it is hardly noticeable when stuck to your board. The pad does the job even when it's covered with snow. With it being so thing I questioned how well it would work. Well the reason it works so well is that all those tiny, hard plastic spikes on it are very sharp. You really need to be careful carrying your board because those things can really puncture your skin or cause some nasty scratches.

"Can be better" 2/14/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Flake Mat Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  Snowflake design, sharp spikes,
  • Cons:  Adhesive, Size,

Experience:   Got this stomp pad in blue. Actually smaller than what I thought it would be. Would prefer something bigger. Biggest drawback was installation. The flake pad plastic is clear, the blue part is a double sided sticker that bonds onto the board and the flake pad. On installation, I used a blow dryer as instructed. When I peeled the adhesive for installation the blue sticker separated from the mat, instead of separating from the peel part. Making installation difficult since I have to put the sticker back to the flake and try to peel off the paper part to get it stick to my board. The adhesive needs to be fixed to avoid this. I've used this for a couple of days, and so far have no problems with the glue on the mountains. Just wished it was bigger, this thing feels more like kids sized truthfully.

"Decent" 12/1/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Flake Mat Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  Thin, Sticks,
  • Cons:  Traction,

Experience:   Bought this stomp pad for my girlfriend. A few comments: The good: The double-sided tape holds well, just make sure to apply the stomp pad to a clean, dry, and WARM board. Her's has held fine after seeing lots of use. It looks pretty good on the board, and really isn't very bulky. The bad: Like other reviewers have commented, the little spikes on the pad are rather sharp. The stomp pad works fairly well when it's clear, but it tends to pack up with snow and ice rather quickly, rendering it nearly useless. It's decent for the price, but I'd recommend spending a little more and getting something better.

"Sticks, but not a lot of traction" 2/9/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Flake Mat Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  Attractive,
  • Cons:  spikes sometimes not big enough to get a good grip,

Experience:   I like this stomp pad, it looks good on my board, but the spikes are somewhat small (and they hurt if you accidentally grab it with your bare hands, very sharp!). I wouldn't get this if you're a beginner, ok for intermediate+

"one like it" 2/2/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (3) No

  • Name: Dakine Flake Mat Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  sticks to board, wont lose grip, works even when coverd w/snow
  • Cons:  the sharp points start to wear down after use,

Experience:   i have a similar stop pad just like this one. im glad i got it. it has sharp points that keep me from slipping. i only worry that the points are going to get worn down are alot of use. its a cool style and clear so it blends right into my board. just watch how you carry your board, i have scratched myself a few times already.

  • Name: Dakine Flake Mat Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  none,

Experience:   I bought this stomp pad for my girlfriend. The pad works ok when there is no snow on it, but she loses all traction with just a little snow stuck to it.

"Great stomp pad " 1/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Flake Mat Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  good traction ,
  • Cons:  ouch sometimes,

Experience:   Very nice looking for the sierra V-spot that my girl has, it does the job, no problems so far ( 2 month ) and still attached to the board, altho she hurt herself once with the ends ( kind of silly if you know it may hurt you ), i have the same style and just love it, of course different color !... just get it and make sure don't fall when getting off the lift

"a smaller sized stomp pad" 11/23/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Flake Mat Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  small, sticks well, simple design

Experience:   i grabbed this stomp pad to stick on my gfs board. she stressed to me that she didnt want some over the top massive stomp pad that takes away from the graphics on her board. this stomp pad will not do that, its about the size of your palm and just does enough for what you want out of a pad. its a clear pad as well so it wont take away ur graphics in the middle of the board.

"Puas peligrosas" 11/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Dakine Flake Mat Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  Forma, Adhesivo,
